"Quite disappointed with this restaurant that apparently had everything to please me. A rather cozy decor. The mussels/frites were succulent, fresh, homemade and more than generous portions. For what is speculos cheesecake that I chose for dessert, it was mostly a speculoo COFFEEcake. The whole thing is that the cheffe dares to tell me that cheesecakes are always made with a coffee base. Moreover, the quality of the service really leaves to be desired: order error, inability to give information on the dishes to the cards, obligation to order the dessert as soon as arrival. The hygiene of the sanitary a little limits this day, and the doors of the large open restaurants overlooking a street passing with its noises. And all this sprinkled with a lack of friendliness and courtesy. Anyway, I don't recommend this institution at all."

"The address on Dieppe !!! It would be a shame to go to Dieppe without stopping at the Turbot. When you are there, tell yourself that you are here to make a triptych 'flat entrance dessert'. The turbot offers uncommon dishes when you come from the Lyon region. You will taste the turbot net (fish) which is perfectly cooked. You'll finish your meal with the boss' rum baba or a nice tatin pie. The daring will slip a ninechatel roasted with honey as a cheese. In short we had a nice evening!!"

"Despite the miniature golf carpeting, Formica tables with "Naugahyde" runners, and coffee shop decor, this is a surprisingly good hotel dining room. We have had mixed experiences with Mercure Hotel dining. But this one gets high marks for a kitchen that is quite competent. We sampled one of the preferred restaurants along the Quai on Sunday night, where two dozen or more restaurants seem to offer the same menu. While the crowd was probably more locals than tourists, the ambiance and quality level did not seem to excel.The wait staff here is young, cheerful, energetic and mostly in gear.With the usual Sunday and Monday closings throughout France, this was not our first choice for Monday dinner. But it turned out to be a very good one. Dieppe is the premiere scallop port in France. At the end of the season, we hoped to get one more sampling in. The hotel prepared a superb risotto with a generous portion of fresh scallops-an excellent dish. A daily entree special, a gazpacho, was also quite satisfying. A chocolate and raspberry desert was both attractive and tasty. A decent wine selection added to our enjoyment. While the restaurant probably caters primarily to hotel guests, it is good enough to attract those not staying here. The menu selection was quite large with several seafood dishes and meats. A good address to keep in mind in a town that isn't teeming with terrific options."

"Nous y sommes allé en pensant manger de bonnes crêpes.. résultat:- Pour le plat: crêpe fade / grasse . Demandé sans oignon pour l'une des deux et la demande n'a même pas été respecté, heureusement que je n'étais pas allergique!!- Pour le dessert: crêpe pas assez cuite / chocolat au lait coupé je suppose à l'eau (au vu de la texture et du goût)En plus des crêpes au goût plus que passable, les prix des boissons et salades sont aussi cher que sur certaines villes de la côte.Un coca à presque 4€ et des salades basiques à 16€...En bref, nous n'y retournerons pas et ne conseillerons absolument pas cette crêperie."

"Endroit sympa en bord de mer mais l accueil est à revoirNous sommes arrivées aucunes places disponibles face à la mer nous demandons poliment de bouger une table ce qui ne gênait en rien...réponse...non!!! Nous nous installons donc à un autre endroit de la terrasse et au bout de quelques temps des habitués ou des gens de connaissance (vu le tutoiement) arrivent demandent de bouger une table près du bord face à la mer..et là surprise le serveur s active à ajouter 2 tables!!!! Pas très commercial tout ça!!!....conclusion si vous n êtes pas habitué de ce lieu on vous ignore!!!!"

"We visited Dieppe for the first time but disappointed to find eating out more expensive than the places we go to in the UK. We were charged 8 euros 40 for two small beers and the wine was more expensive than we thought it would be . The restaurants were very busy. There were plenty of set price menus but all the dishes seem to come with chips. We had mussels on the first night but did not want to pay out for very expensive fish dishes. We said the French holidaying in Britain must think our pub chains and privately owned restaurants offering early bird deals brilliant value. On the last day we found a little cafe bar Le Bordeaux, 3 Rue Duquesne offering meal of day for less than seven euros. We went in and had a lovely glass of Bordeaux wine 2 euros a glass which came with tapas of cheese.................reminded us of the Spanish restaurants. My husband had absolutely delicious and filling stuffed peppers with fresh bread which I wish that I had ordered. My Croque Monsieur was not over priced but not as good as the ones I make at home. We had another glass of wine each plus coffee. The young owner was very pleasant and welcoming. He deserves to do well. I could now say that not everywhere was overpriced for the tightwads."
