"I've lived in the Ruhrgebiet for 7 years now and I have always been on the look out for an Indian restaurant that serves food as delicious as you can get back in the UK. With the Bega I have found that. All the other German Indian restaurants I've been to have tended to have that special something missing, but not this one. The lamb korma is divine. I first went here on a date and could recommend it for this setting, I liked it so much I came back a week or two later for a business lunch. They have a very reasonably priced lunch menu, but at around 15€ for a main course I would recommend lamb korma every single time. Friendly staff, and cosy setting. A must visit for lovers of Indian(Pakistani) food."

"on the first look a neat, small family restaurant in a quiet part of town from theremund. nothing extraordinary, quiet atmosphere, many old people (typical for neighboring restaurants in Germany). everything will be great when the fish comes. absolutely amazing, every time I was here. so if they are a fish fan, this is the right place in theremund, which is 15 minutes away from the city center."

"I was twice before albero verde, and therefore recommended it to my wife and friend, who I took to the place on a Saturday night. the times I was there before were in the week when the place was not so busy. on Saturday almost all tables are occupied, partly with very loud guests. at the time it is hardly possible to conduct a normal conversation at the table. the service was quite terrible, especially because there are not enough servants, and those who are partially incompetent. parts of the evening they all gather near the bar and talk to each other. they don't see what to do. we waited 20 minutes to the wine list when we were ordered for immediate delivery, waited another 30 minutes. I felt so ashamed that I had invited my guests to this place, especially because my previous experience was so positiw. tonight, however, was a catastrophe, and we felt rather dissatisfied when we left the place. my recommendation, do not go on busy hours, they are frustrated as satisfied."

"The service is very friendly, you feel welcome. There is a very pleasant atmosphere, which for me is what sets the store apart. The food is very tasty and fresh. There are also particularly unusual burger creations, for example with peanut sauce and coconut flakes delicious! For families: There is enough space to park a stroller at the table. The service was very nice and child friendly. There is a small hurdle at the entrance: you have to overcome 2 steps. But that wasn't a problem for us. I didn't see any changing facilities"

"we were in a hotel around the corner of acropolis and found this place purely by chance. we decided to try it and did not regret our decision! although the restaurant was full, the service was very courteous, attentive, friendly and efficient. the menu offers a large selection of Greek dishes and eating is well prepared and presented. we enjoyed it very much. it is also an excellent value for money; I and my partner each had a main dish, a beer and a glass of wine, and these were less than 25 euro! if I were back in there, I would definitely return there."

"This tiny little place has quickly become our favourite place to go for Sushi when in Dortmund. Of those sushi places in town I've tried, their's is the tastiest, and service is swifter and friendlier than elsewhere. Located not quite in the city centre, but...near the Kreuzviertel district popular for its bars, restaurants and cafés. There are a few special maki you may want to try, like the salmon and chives, which is unusual but great. Their mixed platters are reasonably priced and a good idea if you want to try a bit of everything. Making a reservation is definitely recommended, as this restaurant is both small and popular. Most of the time I just end up getting my sushi to go. Either way, they'll always give you a little cabbage salad on the house, which is too spicy for me, but I appreciate the gesture. Haven't had a chance to try there Korean dishes yet, so can't comment on those."

"Staying in the Volksgarten Mengede hotel, having dinner in the hotel restaurant Mengeder Volksgarten is always a good idea. It’s also a good idea when staying or living nearby. I visit from The Netherlands at least once a year and never pass over...the nice dinner selection on offer. This time around I was greeted by a professional looking waiter, polite and friendly. After taking my order he presented me with a nice salad starter which was rich in flavour and crispy fresh. As a starter, I ordered the Onion soup. It came topped with a piece of bread, handsomely covered with melted cheese. The flavour of the cheese was nice, not too bland and not too strong either, just.. right. As for the onion soup itself, it had a peculiar taste. Not bad at all, but different from what is common. They incorporated a handsome amount of herbs in the soup which might account for the strong alternative flavour. It was a common size. Mailänder Schnitzel My main course was quite large. Plenty of pork to go around, covered with tomatoe slices and topped with a handsome amount of melted cheese. As a side I ordered the Bratkartoffeln, fried potatoe slices with bits of onion, bacon crumbs and some herbs, A very common and typical German food but oh so delicious, way better than a helping of fries in my humble opinion. If you require some salad on the side, you’ll be happy to hear there is unlimited use of the salad bar included. Help yourself from a nice variety of readily prepared ingredients and choose from dressings. Dessert is always a surprise at this restaurant. What can I choose from? Or is there just a day special? Or no dessert at all? This time though they actually had a separate dessert card! Several selections to choose from my choice for today: the Coupe Danmark. It comes close to what is commonly sold as a Dame Blanche: some scoops of vanilla icecream, topped with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The Coupe Danmark also incorporated chocolate flakes. Nice addition! Taste is as expected. As it is that time of the year, the restaurant same as the rest of the hotel had the christmas decorations on display, complete with a miniature Santa as the centerpiece of every table. To end the visit to the restaurant, I usually have them add the bill to the chamber account. No problem this time either. Or was it........... In the end they were a bit unclear about it, asking several times if I was going to pay cash or card when paying the hotel bill, even though that moment would come only tomorrow. From all the hesitation, though I’m not quite sure, I concluded the restaurant is not a part of the hotel anymore but a seoarately run business. Anyway, they figured it out eventually so let’s just say this situation was new to them, so I’m sure you won’t run into this bit of unclarity at the end of a nice dinner once you’re here.. On account of that ‘startup problem’ I’m not lowering the rating as it was a perfectly well taken care of dinner and rate it stars. If you haven’t tried this place yet, be sure to do so! "Nachdem wir schon mehrfach die herrliche Terrasse im Sommer mit gutem Essen genossen haben, waren wir erstmals im Innenraum. Auch hier ein schönes Ambiente. Der Service freundlich und aufmerksam wie gewohnt. Auch das Essen wieder geschmacklich sehr gut und optisch ein Hingucker. Das Rinderfilet auf den Punkt gebraten, die Trüffelnudeln ein Gedicht, Amboss vom Kalb sehr zart mit delikater Soße und der Saibling kann auch nur gelobt werden. Die Beilagen dazu perfekt abgestimmt.Lediglich beim Tatar ist minimale Kritik anzumerken, das war uns etwas zu grob geschnitten, aber eben von Hand….Fazit: ein Besuch des SYGHT lohnt sich auf jeden Fall."

"this charming corner cafe bistro was the perfect place for a light lunch while I was in there mouth for the day on a business trip. the staff was friendly (and spoke great English) and also helpful. in particular daria gave me some tips, which I should see in the old town. the food was fresh and beautifully presented and also inexpensive. my tuna salad roll was and a bottle of foam water was my only regret was not with a piece of one of the delicious looking tarts I only saw when I left the caffe. there are seats both outside and inside. there is no WiFi cover in cafe. it is a place to talk to friends, not anti-social surfing."

"I can only recommend the Westermanns. Uncanny delicious food in a great, cozy location. Very pleasant mood, great, high-quality selection and really friendly service staff. "location and parking situation: the small kieztört is located in the very trendy cross-Quartal. who knows that the cross quartet knows that they will find many caffes, bars and locals here and it is a good neighbor to draw the houses. a ride with the car is not recommended, as there are hardly any parking spaces available and the inhabitants hardly find parking for their cars (contain a residential id.) while they play here from borussia park also football fans and keep on the parking lot. is good the way to the möllerbrücke or directly with the bike, the hip of the quarter makes exactly the same. the caffe and offer: the caffe itself is cozy and stylish at the same time. one sits on chairs or in the big window benches on seat cushions. there are times, but many visitors come to enjoy the coffee and cake. in one corner stands a table for 6 8 people, all the other tables are for 4. whenever we were here, all the tables were occupied. in summer they can also sit outside in front of the caffe. in the small glass panes are the cakes, torts and muffins exhibited. these are all always very tasty and are declared friendly on request. there are pancakes, yesterday I had plum cake with fresh cheese, really very delicious. a highlight is certainly the spinattorte, but I didn't dare. but it is very sweet of eating and must therefore be delicious. "For dinner at the tavern at Nico. We were kindly received and brought to the table. The facility is unfortunately somewhat economical and uncomfortable. Parking facilities are available in front of the house. Unfortunately we don't come back again..."

"great place for coffee! no English menu, but the staff was very friendly and we loved everything we had. they had not many gluten-free options for lunch, but two of the cakes were gluten-free. beautiful backyard with garden chairs and many plants and very bright, cozy furnishings. there was a designated corner with a large table to work, so I guess that wlan and electricity are present. there were also many toys for children. the place was not overcrowded when we were there on a Tuesday at 14 a.m., but there were not many tables, so I assume that it will be quickly full during the peak times. I'd be definitiw if I lived in there! our experience was definitely a very pleasant experience!"

"they offer a lot of different coffees that can be ordered as filter coffee in French presses. for coffee milk drinks they offer a very good milk (preferably oat barista). overall they seem to know their things in the coffee department. during my visit, that could not be said about the service department, but perhaps they only had too many newbies in these days (like personal shortage is a cache.) the cinnamon rolls are very good, but that seems to be dependent on day and time of the day (have them several times before as take-out.)"
