"I had made a reservation for 4 people at this restaurant, but when an extra person showed up, they were not able to accommodate us and did not seem concerned about trying to find a solution."

"My daughter and I hadn't gone out for lunch together in a long time due to her work schedule. We booked for 11:45, but unfortunately, the food wasn't ready when we arrived. However, we didn't mind as we had plenty to chat about. When we finally got our food, there was an excellent selection of meat and vegetables. The food was delicious, and we were both so full that we didn't need dessert. I will definitely be taking my husband there soon. The food was lovely."

"Decided to visit a couple weeks ago with a few friends after a walk in trent park. We live in the local area and know the other Indian restaurants aren't too bad. This one unfortunately is Bangladeshi and not a genuine Indian restaurant at all. Won't go into a really long one but here are the points: Bad mannered staff, some won't smile at you or engage in any conversation, like irritated robots (probably because we didn't order the overpriced drinks and poppadoms where the mark up is about 400% . We thought we'd offended them. We're doing you a favour by coming in, be polite and friendly to customers! Ordered a variety of dishes, most turned out quite oily even the ones we thought were dry, chicken had been dropped in at last minute of cooking so the meat was bland. This is the not the place to come if you want to watch your oil/fat/sugar consumption. The spices could be tasted, not cooked through properly. Rice was tasty though. Lamb dishes, quite a lot of fatty parts left on the lamb but sauces had some flavour in them. Rogan Josh was the only one that was nice out of the few that wasn't too chewy. No one bothered to come and ask us how the meal was going, we usually enjoy this as we can have a chat about the dishes etc... this is when we realised we'd definitely offended them. We got the feeling they just wanted us to pay and leave, probably realised they were making a big loss on our table. All in all, poor restaurant, surprised they are still in business but probably the affluent local cockfosters crowd that don't question the food keeping them afloat, they used to be called something else but the staff are still the same. Tandoori nights isn't bad try that nearby. Also Romna gate in Soutgate too. Plenty nearby that are friendlier better value for money places to eat. Suffice to say, mates were not impressed at all.TIP for Staff: Cheer up! People are spending their money in your restaurant, show them some friendliness and respect, you're lucky to be in a nice area like Cockfosters with nice locals who support small businesses."

"Visiting a restaurant on a rainy Sunday night in January can be quite a serene experience, especially in a town center that's a bit off the beaten path. Despite having made a reservation, we were the only diners in the restaurant from 6:30 PM to 8:20 PM when we left. I haven't researched the restaurant beforehand, but it's fair to say that they seem to believe their all-day dining concept, which ranges from breakfast to dinner, is the right approach to navigate the current cost-of-living crisis. Overall, the food was good, and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely consider returning for another visit."
