"No food after 2.30pm Even something as simple as mushrooms on toast. Basically turns into a coffee/cake shop there after Also went in good Friday at 1.30pm to order Mushrooms on toast...to be told they gad ran out even though i was staring at 2 big beautiful bowls of fresh mushrooms/portobello mushrooms. Seriously, after a little discussion i asked the girl to ask for me...she came back and said they could do a very small portion. Great, something is better than nothing, after a bit another girl came to take order, i said i thought that girl had done my food order, she came back no she sorry she hasn't, ok thank im going to have to leave it as have appointment at vision Express at 2.20pm and left. Grabbed a lovely cup of coffee at Nero. I believe the cafe has been taken over by new people and have made significant changes...im just disappointed in no being able to get even a simple dish in a cafe at 1.30pm when the issue wasnt lack of mushrooms...i found it quite frustrating. I work long hours and do shift work and just fancied a little treat in a genuinely lovely cafe but unable to keep up with the growing demands unless you just want coffee and cake!!"

"Needs to be organised, sat waiting for 50mins for Liver and Bacon meal, they were too busy making sure just eat/Uber orders were done first. We saw 6 people get up and walk out. Only when I got up to ask where our order was did they start cooking it. Seemed to think a free coffee would solve the issue, which we refused.Staff were not interested, will not be rushing back. Question, is a customer in your premises important, or does the on line orders take precedence? Cafe Hills have decided, but they won't tell you. There are plenty of other cafes around so walk away!"

"We 3 sat outside in the lovely beer garden with our dog had drinks 3 roast beef dinners today. Firstly the garden is so peaceful tranquil an awesome spot for an early lunch. The staff here are truly magnificent, so friendly efficient. The meals were the perfect size, quality price. Really enjoyed it here, even with some ‘noise’ out the front. Thanks to the brilliant pub staff for everything. Highly recommended!!"

"Tasteless chips- do not taste as fresh nor tasty when compared to other chippies. That said, there are a great variety of other menu options like veggie spring roll (deep filled with lots of veg and a delicious creamy sauce inside) calamari, squid rings, pie, saveloy. Great options of grilled fish, fish and chip boxes/scampi boxes which are great value for money. Their tartar sauce is gourmet top quality and is like no other! Best I have ever tasted! Friendly polite staff"

"Attended a pre wedding party yesterday evening on August hosted by the Nandas (please check with the host and don’t deny the fact that this party ever happened or I did not attend like you do in response to your other reviews). To start with, horribly slow starter service. For a table service one would expect either the food to be replenished quickly or at least bought out when asked. Here you get a response, “wait, it’s being cooked.” No please, no sorry, in short, no manners. Here’s the real problem though. A restaurant of this size says, we have run out of Chicken Nuggets for kids. Who doesn’t have spare nuggets in the kitchen? And if not, should you not offer more chips instead? Keeping kids hungry is just not done. The mains were just okay quality/quantity wise but nowhere near their restaurant food. We have been to the restaurant many times and hence our expectations were a bit high, probably different chefs for restaurant and parties or whatever. But no complaints in general on mains and desserts. The final nail in the coffin. After dancing, I go to the bar asking for WATER. The very NICE lady says, “we don’t have any water jugs back here.” I ask for TAP WATER instead. She goes, “We don’t have any glasses.” I can clearly see at least crates of nice clean glasses behind the bar. Tired and really thirsty, I go to the other side near the kitchen end asking a waiter for water. Her response is even more alarming. NO WATER IN THE KITCHEN. Even my year old would not buy this answer. I really demand an explanation on the reason for not providing the most basic necessity to your guests. It was at night and did not want to raise it back then at the venue but without any explanation to this, I doubt anyone reading this review will ever want to host a party with Venue unless THE HOSTS ARE READY TO TAKE ABOUT BOTTLES OF LITRE WATER WITH THEM. In a nutshell, Venue did all they could to ruin the evening for the lovely couple.For anyone thinking to host an event here in the future, I am more than happy to come forward and share my experience in more details. YES, there was more than this but not trivial."

"We had booked a table a few days previously but when we arrived at the due time with our guests it was not set out. The problem was quickly resolved and did not detract from an excellent evening’s dining. The choice of food and styles here is excellent and the staff were knowledgeable in helping us with our choices. When it arrived the food was generous and well presented and hot (in temperature) and the different dishes were excellently spiced and well balanced – just what we expected. From the starters the Scallops Hariyali and the Chilli Prawns were marvellous. From the mains the Chicken Xacuti and Tandoori Sampler were of particular note, but our other starters and mains were all delicious. Prices are what you would expect for a restaurant of such location, you can check the menu on the website. Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, pleasant ambience, thoroughly recommended."

"Get a roast dinner for 4 or 5 people near weekly and it’s always been great , however this week was by far the best. I’m sure there is a new chef. Roast beef was cooked perfectly medium rare , juicy big portions. Roast potatoes were hot and crispy just small and only 3, a large should surly have atleast 4? , the veg were all honey roasted , possibly not but they tasted sweet , the pigs in blankets are a great new addition also. Got them last week too , they come with a mustard glaze which isn’t for my liking , but you can ring up and request no mustard which I did were are very accommodating. Quite stingy on the gravy, not sure about you but I drench my roast in gravy, and there was a tiny portion for each person 1/4 of the small tub was filled with gravy, maybe add an option for extra or fill them just a bit more? All in all, amazing. Thanks :"

"I was three times at this resteraunt at the end of southall broadway. had an breakfast on Saturday, midweek dinner with friends, and a weekend lunch decent enough space as many others on southall broadway (gifto’s, tkc etc.) regarding the environment. food is comparable. the trick, not really much better or worse. although I would say that the leti’s and sweet dishes are not as good as some of the other breakfast was disappointing. especially because I like my Pakistani breakfast to have chicken keema, and they do not generally do that well. "this place is genuinely surprising. looks ordinary from the outside. but you walk in, and clue number 1: they're not playing faux Indian classical sitar music, it's a mixture of bhangra and grime. clue number 2: the menu is LONG and has an indo chinese section (I've only normally seen the latter in India, don't know if you get it many other places). Gobi 65 from the indo chinese section is the ticket like various things in Chinese cuisine eg 咕噜肉 except it's cauliflower (obvs) and done with mostly S Asian spices. clearly has a pretty dedicated local clientele, but also helps that you can walk there from the north side of heathrow airport's perimeter (Bath Road, where lots of hotels are). hayes harlington has a pretty large British Asian Desi population and if you can get your local customers to keep coming back ... you must be doing something right."

"Revisited for the first time in two years and the White Hart has not changed. Still average at best, considering the local competition visited recently on a works outing pre Xmas. The good stuff: staff friendly and very helpful. the place is warm but no roaring log fire. not so good stuff. Food is average at best veg way to undercooked, mains look better than they taste, bear in mind the local competition such as the Pheasant just down the road I think I would only go to the White Hart if the Pheasant was booked out. In an area where there are many places offering fare to the weary Heathrow traveler its important to stand out. This place does not. Make your own mind up"

"Late lunch before flying back home with family. We ordered egg Benedict, seafood risotto and baked salmon fillet All taste very good and enough portion. Dessert is wonderful as well. "Good date night at the Ruislip Express. Slow start but the service picked up very quickly and we felt at home. We ordered the pesto dough balls (excellent) and garlic mushrooms (wonderful) for starters. We shared a padana pizza that was slightly underdone for our liking. The new fondant dessert was OK. Most of all it was a good night out apart from the opinionated customer at an adjoining table who made sure everyone heard his thoughts (whether you wanted to hear them or not). 2024 Update. Quick Lunch. Still good food and service. Pizza and aracini were on point. Hi eep up the good work"

"Having been coming to The Plough over a 30 year period when visiting London, it is such a real shame to see what 's happened to it. Once it was an English country pub with great food and service and well worth adding an extra night at Heathrow just to go there for dinner. Coming to London once again, we booked a hotel nearby and made a dinner reservation at The Plough for 7pm. Pulling up out the front, the first thing we saw was a large sign saying TANDOORI CAFE across the top of what used to be an outside food service area. On going inside, we realised we need not have bothered to make a reservation. We were seated and given the menus along with TANDOORI MENU. Our usual starter was the breaded mushmoom caps which used to be great followed by the grilled Scottish salmon fillet. We ordered the same items and it was all down hill from there. Asking for a wine list, the young waitress replied We don 't have one because the prices change all the time. REALLY ?! So , taking pot luck and with no idea of price, we ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio. It was not Italian and very ordinary for 16 pounds. The starters came out and instead of whole mushroom caps , they were chopped up small field mushrooms. The salmon then came out and it was overcooked and had obviously been in a microwave. It seems The Plough is no longer what it used to be and for some unknown reason, whoever owns it now is trying to turn it into an Indian Tandoori Restaurant !!! It 's a real shame that this has happened and after so many really nice dinners there, we will not be going back."

"We discovered Kin Dee in 2018 and we go in person or get a takeaway once a month, its an absolute staple. The staff are so lovely and helpful, they all worked throughout lockdown and always go the extra mile, I have a dairy allergy and all teh staff know exactly what goes into the food which makes me enjoy it so much more. The food is another level! I highly recommend the Massamun Curry and the Panang Curry. Lots of options if you want meat, fish, Tofu, they do it all! They do cater for large groups BUT they do require you choose yuor food in advance so its ready when you arrive, deposit is required."

"I’m a Swiss high school student who came to Cambridge for a language trip. We went to eat there several times as it is internationally known. This fast food restaurant is great! The service is fast, the employees are very attentive. There is even French...staff for francophones who have some problems with English. In addition, there are automatic terminals from which you can choose your menu and pay, it's very practical if you don't understand the displayed menus. Prices are very accessible but the food is not very salty compared to the Macdonals in Europe."

"The onion masala dosa and curries at this restaurant were excellent, but the pina colada cocktail was disappointing. The service started off well with a warm welcome from the wait staff, but quickly deteriorated. They expected customers to set their own plates, which felt insulting. Despite feeling uncomfortable, my husband and daughter helped me remain calm. The waiter was argumentative for no reason, and the waitress was overly attentive in clearing plates. Overall, I left feeling disappointed with the lack of supervision and suggested they become more kid-friendly by offering activities for children."

"I've lived locally my whole life and have heard of Sahibs from friends a number of times. To start off as we walked in it looked a dindgy pub rather than an Indian restaurant (nothing like the pictures). they didn't have our name listed even though we had email confirmation of our booking. After standing for 10 mins by the door with my pregnant wife we were eventually seated. Drinks and food came out very quickly buy the food was really poor and rushed out. My 73 year old father in law told one of the waiters that the mogo was a bit bitter and undercooked and overly sweet and he just waved his hands in the air like he wasn't interested and rudely walked away so we asked for the manager from another waiter and 20 mins later the manager still had not arrived. The manager eventually walked past and I called him over and he said no one had passed the message on. We asked to the mogo to be taken off the bill as we hadn't eaten it and when the bill arrived it was still there with an extra service charge. The food was terrible, service was non existant and when we left and told the I spoke to a waiter who serverd us (on your way out) that we did not have a good experience and he looked at me blankly like he didn't care what I was saying. Possibly it was because the were understaffed but still no excuse really. Definitely not for me!"
