"Zu zweit besuchten wir erstmals dieses schöne griechische Restaurant, das etwas versteckt liegt und sich trotzdem großem Zulauf erfreut. Wir trafen an einem Dienstag gegen 18.00 Uhr ein und bekamen auch ohne Reservierung einen Tisch, am Wochenende würde ich dieses Wagnis aber nicht eingehen.Der Service war sehr freundlich. Umgehend wurden uns die Speisekarten gereicht und die Getränkebestellung aufgenommen. Sobald wir unser Essen bestellt hatten, stellte man uns unaufgefordert Brot und Zaziki sowie einen Ouzo auf den Tisch. Alsbald erhielten wir auch den bei Fleischgerichten obligatorischen Salat.Die Hauptgerichte (Bifteki mit Feta-Füllung für 13,50 € sowie ein Fleischgericht mit Gyros, Souvlaki, Suzuki, Lammkotelett u. Schweinesteak für 18,50 €) wurden zügig serviert. Die dazu gehörenden Pommes Frites sind keine Industrieware, sondern frisch aus der Kartoffel geschnitten. Obwohl die Portionen so reichlich waren, dass weder meine Frau noch ich sie aufessen konnten, gelüstete es uns anschließend nach einem Dessert. Wir bestellten Loukoumades (Hefebällchen mit Honig und Nüssen) für 3,80 € und erwarteten eine kleine Portion. Serviert wurden uns 27 (in Worten: siebenundzwanzig) Tischtennisball-große Stücke mit zwei Gabeln. Da auch dies selbst zu zweit nicht zu bewältigen war, wurden uns die Reste der Hauptgerichte sowie des Desserts selbstverständlich zum Mitnehmen eingepackt.Zum Abschied entschuldigte sich unsere Kellnerin für evtl. Wartezeiten, da eine Servicekraft gefehlt hätte. Wir haben davon nichts gemerkt, aus unserer Sicht war alles Perfekt!Zu erwähnen wäre noch das moderne, aber trotzdem gemütliche Ambiente des vor rund einem Jahr eröffneten Restaurants, das nichts mit dem sonst in vielen griechischen Etablissements üblichen Interieur gemein hat.Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder!!!"

"This is one of my favorite restaurants ever. I live in Frankfurt and I eat out about 5 times a week, i.e. I have already tried a certain amount of restaurants. When I'm in my home in the north, I'm always trying to look over here. Have recommended the shop for countless times and have always received very good feedback. For food: Here are Supra. It means Georgian table and it is served similar to tapas a variety of dishes for sharing. In the individual dishes a strong Persian influence can be seen, a lot is worked with pomegranate, walnut and/or coriander I recommend a group of 4 people, as so the portions are still pleasantly divisible and you can try a lot. Depending on hunger, you should plan 2-3 dishes per person. Accordingly, together with the drinks, the bill is also quite high at the end, one should not come from expecting a reasonable meal. In my opinion, this price is justified. The restaurant belongs to the category something special for a very nice evening. An vegetarian and vegan: Estimated is just over half of the map vegetarian and, as far as I remember correctly, predominantly vegan. These are not any supplements or non-loved alternatives, but are ingenious and versatile dishes. Also I as a meat eater order mostly vegetarian, because I just love these dishes there like cauliflowers in walnut sauce, eggplant apples, various creams on polenta..."

"This is the best Italian Restaurant I have ever ate at. I had their mushroom soup, lamb fillet (not the curry one), aglio olio and pasta with prawn. Out of this world. I ate with awe. It's like a family biz. Wife cooks and husband...attends to customers. Very reasonable price. Come by when you have more time as you will be waiting for slightly longer time due to shortage in manpower."

"Goods to two without reservation on Saturday evening and after 10-15 min wait still got a table. It was possible to disinfect the hands at the entrance without a lever or an actuating with the aid of a sensor. The distance rules were also observed, only every 2nd table was allowed to be occupied. Beautiful, quiet and warm atmosphere and delicious Turkish food. Many dishes with eggplant and vegetarians. Unfortunately we had to wait for our food for a long time, but given that we came in without reservation, it was okay. The service was friendly, but they looked at her that she had a long day behind her. But that's okay. We were very satisfied and would come back! Thank you."

"Situated near a busy intersection in Feldtsrasse, parking facilities are somewhat difficult, so take a taxi from the city centre. More suited to the typical German visitor than a more refined restaurant would be, Da Cosimo caters for the more hurried diner in conditions that are far from intimate, but more than acceptable. the tables are far too close to each other and space is at a premium. A good selection of international cuisine is available, with some interesting wines you might like to look up on a another occasion at the wine shop just across the street. Some Italian-sounding dishes are available, but basically this is a German restaurant with a few extra trimmings, hence the "average" rating in my assessment. At times, finding a table can be difficult, so if this is the place you have chosen, do make sure to have a reservation. Again, catering for German guests, this restaurant lacks the delicacy you might expect from a more up-market establishment. Do not expect anything exceptional: the food is ordinary and somewhat over-seasoned, which means that what might be good ingredients are often covered in all-enveloping sauces. Simplicity would be better."

"the Vietnamese restaurant S.VIET is located in the kieler inner city very close to the castle park and the old market. it is a small family business and has long been one of my favorite restaurants. it is comfortably furnished. the service is beautiful and the background music discreet. eating is always freshly prepared and is really delicious. Above all, it is not as fat as average Asian restaurants. in the week there are lunch menus that are cheap and rich in other restaurants. they become tired and can also order it well to go. it is then packed so well that it looks and tastes even after 20 minutes. I can recommend the restaurant S.VIET to all who love the Asian cuisine. next to the Thai and Indian cuisine, for me the Vietnamese is one of the best and healthiest cooks on our globus. S.VIET is a secret tip in riel. I can recommend the small but fine restaurant 100%"

"Just went in for an Empire Burger takeaway and got a Chewbacca cooking spoon for the waiting time(amazing idea! , after about 6 minutes I got my Burger, got on my bike and drove 20 minutes home. The Burger is not only a regular Burger it’s an experience even after this huge amount of resting it still tastes like your biting in the most fluffy and tasty Bun and then there’s the meat witch just leaves your mouth watering even after your finished. I’ll come around more often, thanks a lot and see you soon!"

"We picked this restaurant because being a mixed group of omnivores and a couple of people on a vegan diet (me and the hubby), we thought a mexican would definitely offer both options... and apparently this restaurant is an institution in Kiel (i.e. has been there forever). The atmosphere is what you expect from a tex-mex place. Our waiter was super-friendly, and when I asked if the quinoa patties were vegan, he immediately went on to explain what on the menu was or wasn't or could easily be 'veganised'... I was very impressed. The starters were ready in no time (nachos with salsa and some rather interesting jalapenos chillies filled with peanut butter - hot!), but unfortunately the main course took much longer... a bit too long really (1h30 after our arrival). When it finally arrived, I must say the meat-eaters were very impressed with their kangaroo steak, chicken steak, satay chicken... as for the veggi fajitas... well they were composed of exactly 2 vegetables: baby corn and sweet potatoes (I actually had 2 mini courgette rings, but my husband had none). Since I'm not a big fan of baby corn, I was pretty disappointed. The whole thing tasted nice nevertheless, as the side-dishes (those which the meaty fajitas would also get: i.e. tomatoes, olives, guacamole, refried beans...) were excellent. Other very nice surprise: the bill: 105 Euros for 5 people! Verdict: go for the meat and order some starters (as the food might take a bit long!)"

"We met as a group of six friends and neighbours for supper at the recently opened Hafenwirtschaft near the Quayside in Kiel-Holtenau. Our reservation was admirably handled by the assistant manager Daniel Michel and our table was by one of the rather smallish windows with limited views to the sailing ships moored at the quay and over the entrance to the Kiel Canal beyond.We did not wait long to place our orders, taken by a rather hesitant young man who clearly had not been long in his job, but he was polite and attentive. The choice of dishes is quite extensive, for what is basically a German restaurant. Meat and fish dishes are available, as well as pasta and children's’ portions.Disappointing! Why? Because the much vaunted Roast Beef, served in my case with purée potatoes and not with fried ‘bratkartoffeln’, was almost conspicuous by its absence. In other words, the portion of roast beef, although appetising enough, was miniscule. Two extremely small and thin slices of meat.If, like me, you are used to a carvery in the UK or the USA, you will find the portions minute here in Germany. Roast beef is an expensive item here, but nowhere have I been served so little. If I say that the roast beef is served in small (4 x 3 inch) uniform slabs, but thin, you may be reminded of the corned beef slices that come out of cans. British carveries serve huge, whole slices of beef, not miserable quantities clearly not carved from a joint of beef.Our fellow diners hesitated to say how they felt about their portions and said even less about the standard of the cuisine. Enough said.Prices were about average, but the proposed boar was overpriced, leading to my decision to take the slightly less-expensive beef.We did not take a dessert, but did take a coffee. With one glass of red wine each, the bill for my wife and me came to just under €50. I gather that our fellow diners paid about the same sum.The interior of the old Packhaus Restaurant, newly opened as the Hafenwirtschaft, is much as it always was, comfortable without being extravagant. It is cosy and has a newly refurbished bar/lounge area, where they serve Gin Cocktails and other beverages.Not my first choice of restaurant in Holtenau; it needs to improve its offering."

"Wir hatten angerufen um zu fragen ob es möglich wäre nach dem Kino gegen 22:45 dort zu essen, wir sind wohlgemerkt sehr oft dort, diese Frage wurde mit ja, selbstverständlich beantwortet.Als wir um 22:40 dort ankamen wurde uns vom Kellner mitgeteilt, dass er gerade alle Tische abkassiert hätte und wir nicht mehr essen könnten. Ob wir dann einen Salat bekämen wurde auch auf sehr unfreundliche Weise verneint.Maximal ein Getränkt im Barraum wäre möglich.Die Art und Weise erinnerte mich sehr an die östliche ehemalige deutsche Republik. Dies habe ich dem Kellner mitgeteilt. Daraufhin beendete er das Gespräch und ging.Trotz der sehr guten Qualität werden wir das Lokal nie mehr betreten. Zumindest solange diese "Type" noch dort bedient.Die Kellnerinnen waren sonst immer sehr freundlich.Schade"

"We booked a table in advance to enjoy the lovely white asparagus during May month in Northern Germany. We chose this restaurant because of its location close the harbour and ferry port to Norway, because we didn't have much time. We arrived a bit earlier...than booked, but we were met with understanding and got a table anyway. The service was great and we were served wine and alster after a couple of minutes. Our food was perfect, asparagus from Schleswig-Holstein is just the right food for May. Since we are living in Norway, there is seldom a chance to get to taste the white asparagus made the right way with hollandaise and potatoes everybody thinks the green is better.....but it is NOT. Not to forget the home made hollandaise sauce it was exquisit and definitely made from scratch. I would highly recommend this restaurant for people on cruise from Oslo-Kiel with Color Line, because you can eat at o'clock and still be back on the boat in time."

"Wer mitten in Kiel die Sonne am Sonntagnachmittag genießen will, angenehmes interessantes Publikum mag und ein bisschen " sehen und gesehen werden" nicht störend empfindet, ist hier genau richtig. Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass man warme Gerichte draußen nie war geschweige denn heiß bekommt ( grundsätzlich ) ist man mit anderen Köstlichkeiten der Karte ( Salate ), einem chai latte u.ä. gut verköstigt. Unsere Bedienung war klasse. Höflich, selbstbewusst und brachte uns einen coolen Drink, nachdem wir ihm gesagt hatten, er möge für uns wählen und uns überraschen!! Vielleicht wird im Sommer noch ein bisschen passende Musik im Hintergrund gespielt, dann ist es ein " place to be "."

"Wir sind aus Ascheberg extra zu Garips gefahren, um einen Dönerteller zu Essen. Wir gingen rein und bestellten drei Dönerteller und wir bekamen drei normale Döner. Wie kann man dann noch frech sein und sagen, alle Mitarbeiter hätten statt Dönerteller einfach nur Döner gehört. Sie sind nicht konzentriert bei der Sache, also besser vorne stehen bleiben und aufpassen, statt sich hinzusetzen. Alle drei Dönerteller dann im Brot waren nicht wie bestellt, kein Käse, falsche Soßen.... Und wo wir bei den Soßen sind, die haben ein Fließverhalten wie Wasser. Ich hatte mir eine Extrasoße in einem Schälchen bestellt und somit gemerkt, das die dünn wie Wasser ist. Die kenne ich cremig und hier scheint gezielt gespart zu werden. Wir gehen nicht wieder hin, denn ALLE Eindrücke waren negativ."

"Es ist nicht einfach, in Kiel ein veganes Frühstück zu finden. Unsere Suche hat jetzt ein Ende! Bei mmhio gibt es ein richtig gutes veganes (und auch vegetarisches) Frühstück. Und das besteht nicht darin aus einem "normalen" Frühstück etwas wegzulassen, wie es sonst leider allzu oft üblich ist. Hier wird wirklich kreativ eine superleckere Auswahl zusammengestellt. Auf einer kleinen Etagere dekorativ angerichtet bekommt man Avocadocreme, Tofu mit Tomate und Pesto (eine Art Caprese), veganes Mett, Kürbiscreme, Hummus, Marmelade, würzige vegane Wurst, veganer Fleischsalat und etwas Kuchen (bestimmt habe ich noch was vergessen). Dazu gibt es Brötchen und Brot. Mit im Preis von ca. 12 € inbegriffen ist ein Heißgetränk und ein kleiner Orangensaft.Es war sehr gut und dafür, dass alles Bio ist, kann man über den Preis wirklich nicht meckern! Das Ambiente ist einmalig und wirklich sehr geschmackvoll mit einer Zusammenstellung aus den verschiedensten Tischen und Stühlen. Man merkt, dass die Kunsthochschule gegenüber ist!Außer Frühstück gibt es die üblichen Kaffee- und Teespezialitäten und verschiedene Kuchen und Sandwiches (auch hier gibt es vegane Optionen)Oben gibt es auch ein Restaurant, das werktags mittags drei verschiedene vegetarische Gerichte anbietet. Wir kommen gerne wieder!"
