"I ordered catering services from Man'Ouchy for my thesis defense and I was incredibly happy with it. The team prepared a lovely selection of mezzés (falafel, spinach pie, rkakat feta, and kebbé accompanied by plenty of lebanese bread, taboulé, and dips (hummus and eggplant caviar . Many of my guests came up to me and told me how much they loved the food. I fully agree with them. I would definitely order again!"

"Great service even if sometimes the waiters forgot us a little. The manager is great and the restaurant has changed a lot and is still evolving. The food is good, special mention for the desserts and the Sichuan-style eggplants. The dishes are very good, unfortunately it is not written in the menu whether the dishes are spicy or not. A few small areas for improvement but it's a great place, the atmosphere is great, the toilets are clean. I will go back without hesitation!"

"Café restaurant Impression is a formidable place. I went there a few months ago and I didn 't get in because there was no space; now I understand. The atmosphere and service are really nice. A very original combination with the names of the teas, highly recommended Les caprices de Lili and the strawberry tart. Nevertheless, the menu and the prices refer to quality."

"Au Charbon is family managed restaurant, set in a pleasant and quiet part of Lausanne, easily reached on the bus, if like me, you are touring. The restaurant is ‘cosy’ and the owners have maximised the number of seats available, which sounds like me...spinning a cramped venue but it actually works out okay. We had sufficient room to relax and eat without imposing on our neighbouring tables, so the efficient spacing added to the atmosphere and the wine waiter added character. The restaurant has a traditional pizzeria menu with no surprises with the choice of pizza, steaks etc. All our choices were well presented, cooked exactly to request and delicious. Portion sizes were just right too On the down side, the table service was very slow, it took around an hour for the first course and one dish was wrong when it eventually arrived but we put that down to being busy. The lady serving was also a bit too presumptuous that the change from the bill would be her tip and she didn’t return the change, eventually coming back to confirm if this was so. In summary, I enjoyed my meal and time at Au Charbon, they seem to have earned their reputation from being consistent in serving nicely presented dishes that are cooked well. The higher end options are a bit on the pricey side if you are on holiday, especially when considering this is a pizzeria (a steak costing CHF). However most restaurants of this type in Lausanne are similarly priced and it is what it is."

"The expectations were not high, but the hope for a good course experience was nominal. The restaurant was very welcoming, but her food was not with how to taste a French or European course. It is regrettable that food would have been better if it were not prepared per day or so before, as this is the taste for the majority of ingredients used by the appetizer to the main course. Maybe we caught the restaurant in an unpredictable time, but we won't expect to go back. It seems that they need to update their concept of the type of ingredients they use, and how fresh they must be on the day they use them, do not miss anything that is not of the same day."

"Very good restaurant with Italian flavors. Pleasant outdoor setting (to be reconciled with car traffic and the acoustic beeps of pedestrian crossings which is not annoying). The table service is top notch, attentive to the customer and comes regularly to ask if all is well. All the dishes (6 people) that we took were very good, starting with the appetizers, then the tasting menus. We ended with desserts, tiramisu and cannoli. Amaro Baladin coffee and digestive."

"Well, perhaps you can eat well in the restaurant but for take away,mmmmmm not impressed whatsoever. Was staying in hotel savoy but visiting some friends and we ordered take away. 3 times crevette à gogo . The prawns seemed small and all arrived in the same container. In a large amount of liquid. And in a large used tub of mayonnaise!!!! I mean, seriously? That’s not on. Really not on. Also, too much sauce. Prawns smaller than imagined. A real disappointment . The bag in which they arrived too, came from Migros. Come on?? That’s just not right. By the way, Do you want you mayonnaise tub back?"

"The pizzas are pretty good and the prices are fair. But when I picked up my seafood pizza there was a lot of liquid on it that appeared to be water. I imagine the seafood is frozen and has spit out water. My friends enjoyed their pizzas. The only small remark is that the dough in the center is not at all crispy but rather moist. Apart from that, the service is fast and the staff is kind and pleasant."

"My wife and I were staying at the Hotel Mirabeau in Lausanne and after a full day of sightseeing wanted someplace close for a quiet dinner. La Bruschetta was a block away and looked appealing. My wife ordered a pizza and I had one of the pasta specialities (I have forgotten the name). We were seated at an inside table by the window so we could watch the passersby a favorite activity. The service was excellent. The food was very good and plentiful. And the prices were very reasonable; with mineral waters, our total bill came to 42 swiss francs. We would definitely go back again."

"Interesting experience. We ordered the tasting menu with a lobster. Everything was floral, the sauces supplement the original dish taste, not change it. The service was good enough, but the dishes were slowly changed, but on the question of speeding up the process a little, it became faster. The air was really stuffy, that's the only thing I didn't like. I had to cool down with the printed menu : And that's not just me that the couple did the same on the next table."

"I go to WAWA every time with my girlfriend and we always have a good time. The pho bovine noodle soup is the best and just like all dishes on the menu. The owner and the waitress is super nice and friendly. They sometimes give us free drinks. The atmosphere and food will make you feel at home. The best restaurant in Switzerland"

"Vorab: wenn hier soviele „5en“ vergeben werden bin ich mal kritisch.Eine freundliche Begrüßung mit freier Platzwahl in der noch leeren Brasserie. Karte und erste Getränkauswahl sehr zügig, doch die Tagesempfehlung hat man mir nicht angeboten. Die Vorspeise hübsch angerichtet wenn auch eher schlicht. Rohkost und nur minimal gewürzter Salat, simple Brotstücke belegt mit Ölsardinen. Doch etwas arg reduziert und die Salatblätter/Kräuter nicht ganz frisch. Okay aber eher langweilig.Der Hauptgang mit Jakobsmuscheln sehr hübsch angerichtet und auch geschmacklich hervorragend. Leichte Abzüge in der Zubereitung, da die Muscheln etwas zu sehr gebraten und das Risotto definitiv zu kurz gekocht war und etwas zu viel Creme hatte. Die Beilagen sehr gut und eine geschmacklich spannende Komposition.Ich hatte beim Essen den Eindruck, dass der Chef heute frei hatte und die zweite Garde gekocht hat. Gut und lecker aber im Detail etwas schludrig. Dem lokalen Hauswein fehlte trotz Empfehlung auch der Tiefgang eher eine Weinschorle mit erhöhtem Alkoholgehalt.Im Ganzen fühlte ich mich nicht ganz für voll genommen ob meines Sprachdefizites. Ansonsten war ich aber sehr zufrieden mit Service und Essen ; und würde definitiv noch einmal kommen, wenn der Küchenchef da ist."

"We went today Sunday at lunch time to the Hideaway for the first time. The menu on the website shows a lunch menu and a brunch menu . We were quite disappointed to discover that only the brunch menu was available. When asked, the waitresses replied that it is clearly written on the website that lunch is for the week and brunch is for the weekend (we looked everywhere on their website but didn’t find it). One of them also added that maybe we didn’t see it because it is not written in “Italian”. We are Italians but all speak French. Very rude and racist. Will never go there again."

"We went to La Brasserie du Royal , and it was an incredible food experience. I got very surprised how creative was the food. We tried their appetizers, which were all superb, my favorite being l 'oeuf parfait (the prefect egg). The young staff is extremely friendly,...professional, and very attentive. They were also very accommodating to our dietary requests, despite us not giving them an advanced notice. I also had one of the best desserts of my life at this restaurant, which really capped off the meal on an excellent note. Highly recommended!"

"We booked the same day and we thank the staff for finding us a place. There is enough choice for all tastes. The prices are a bit high standard but totally in line with the place, the situation, the service etc. We were very well received, we started by taking Spritz, which were not necessarily the best, it happens, too much sparkling water compared to the rest. We picked up some Hugos which were well made. We ordered a starter each, lobster salad for me, which was very good and vegetable carpaccio, a bit disappointing, no taste, just rolled raw vegetables. We followed with beef, very good, well cooked as requested and the gratin was just perfect. The only downside was the quantities of vegetables and gratin which were a little lacking. Good discovery, we advise you to go and try it for yourself. Thank you very much for the welcome which was really very nice."

"Last summer, we discovered this charming little Italian restaurant with a group of friends in the heart of the city of Lausanne. The pizza, a true delight, transported me to Italy for a meal. "We stayed here over Easter 2022 with our dog. The hotel is perfectly situated close to the vineyards and the lake. The suite was clean, spacious and with a nice decor. Bed and chairs were comfortable. The hotel does also include a fine dining restaurant which serves local specialities. We had the filets de perche one evening and on the other evening the wiener schnitzel and spare ribs from the rotisserie paired with lovely wine from the region. The cuisine is outstanding. The food is delicious and the chef even comes by in the evening greeting all the guests. Unfortunately, the staff does not live up to the experience. The staff is not attentive (i.e. we had to order water twice until it arrived) and they are not passionate about the food or willing to make recommendations. We kinda felt sorry for the chef who does an amazing job but then the people in the front do not cheerish the food. The lack of attentiveness also showed during the breakfast buffet. You pay an extra 20. per day per person but the size is quite small. There is one bread option, croissants, graved salmon, ham and cheese, fruits, you can make a hardboiled egg, coffee, juices, müesli and yoghurts. Sometimes, there were no plates and no cups and we had to wait for staff and ask for it. Some days some items were missing (yoghurts, bread). It was quite disappointing for the price we paid. Apparently, you can order omelets to the table but no one ever told us. We were just told that we can order tea from the staff. The lack of attentiveness and friendliness also shows in reception. Upon arrival we were barely greeted by the receptionist. She seemed more annoyed when we asked where the parking is for hotel guests. She mentioned designated area in the side streets which we could not find and after asking the day after, we found out that there was a tent on the spots from a festival taking place last weekend so they were not available and we had to park the car somewhere else and pay. In addition, when we left we were just told to pay an amount outstanding. Only when I asked for the bill, we actually got a receipt to check. I would expect staff to present the bill first, have the guests check it and then we can make the payment. We have stayed and eaten here many many many times and it was better in the past. The staff unfortunately does not live up to the beauty of the hotel and the outstanding restaurant."
