"we thought it was time that four years ago opened patagonia in the mainzer neustadt to test. the bus and tram connection is excellent, the parking situation is very difficult. there is an outside area at the restaurant, and the dining room is large and clear. because the guests were distributed outside and inside, the reservation about opentable would not have been necessary. so we were allowed to choose a table and were welcomed by the two ladies in the service friendly. we found a rectangle with a view of a large flatscreen, on which a diashow of pictures ran from patagonia, which first triggered television. steaks are offered in all variations, and the selection is quite difficult. we first took three empanadas with different fillings that relatiw quickly came out of the kitchen and taste very good.My wife decided in the main course for a rumpsteak of the even medium rare with grill potatoes and salad. I had previously researched the card in the internet and asked myself what a flap steak was. wikipedia helped and so I knew it was a cut that is very common in patagonia and comes very close to the us sirloin strip. I wanted to try this and ordered it **** in the bloom. I took a foil potato. both supplements were handed with the obligatory sourcream with coriander. the two supplemental salads were fresh, colourful and crisp, with the carrots also liked as a supplement. Even with critical consideration, the performance was in all respects of expectations: the services were extremely friendly and stood also in the meat selection with rat and did the side. the we chose to be perfectly met. confusingly I found the hints in the menu on the recommended per steak. these were all together and especially between medium and well done. that was not comprehensible for me because of the top quality of meat, all in all a very successful evening with a quite reasonable price-performance ratio. we like to come back to patagonia."

"Pizzeria Popeye Why do you call a pizzeria after a whirlpool? I find no indication, especially the operators are real Italians. Was Popeye Italian? I don't think so. At least there are some dishes with spinach on the map. But from the front... This small pizzeria lives mainly from delivery and collection. No one is lost in this corner of Bretzenheim. Neither a sign shows here, nor can you see it remotely, simply hidden in the middle of the residential and office blocks. I noticed when I bought rolls nearby. My lady was sworn twice with friends and from the fresh pasta. Then it can't be that wrong. The ambience is, how should I describe it? Let me know. A glass box, right next to a KFZ workshop, within the “kitchen” and a counter on the drinks are prepared. A few more tables. I haven't seen any toilets, but I think I'm around the corner in the same building. Then there are outside seats. Every campsite is more cozy. There is a pot with herbs and less edible greenware, but it was also with color and a feeling of joy... Fortunately, you can park directly in front of the store, five – six places are free, three of them reserved for the Popeye. We are also recognized and welcomed as potential guests. Instruction of space, but false representation. So we're planting the next table. What's going on? I almost hit my chin on the edge of the table... Is the table too high or the chair too deep? Peter Maffay could probably look through the Bistro table when he comes to the steel pipe arm without help; But seriously, somehow the share is not right... “Popeye” simply tried a female table to recommend the day (yes! it is there to explain and accept her drink order. His colleague “Wimpy” brings us wordless the card, table set and cutlery he puts on a paper napkin with built-in dictionary. Then look at Mer ma... Of course, lots of pizza, and very lonely, on request the bottle is baked directly on stone! Plus. There are also four appetizers (Carpaccio von Rind und Lachs, various vegetables and Bresaola . Add salads, pasta where you can choose the noodles, a few pigs and turkey dishes. And the praised fresh pasta that is called homemade again. Where's this house? “Wimpy” releases our drinks, a coke light (2.50 0.4 and a Erdinger alcohol and yeast (2.60 0.5). He's an Italian... After a good five minutes we can order without being informed about the recommendations. “Popeye” seat cushion brings us to it (now no stupid comments and you sit much more comfortable and higher on the table. In advance we authorize an Insalata Mista (4,00 €) (with cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and carrots on the right, more was not in it. We would have liked to have had a second record because we said he was for both of us. We were allowed to choose the dressing, we chose oil balsamico. But it is not possible to penetrate salt and pepper to a dressage. A mill standing on the table was then fixed. Unfortunately, the oil was not one of the olives (as Popeye's friend says... so hasn't tasted the coarsely sprinkled iceberg (which calls itself salad at all? The onions in big rings, the carrots and did not taste sour to know them from the glass. The tomatoes were cut artistically into eights, even with Freeland aroma points. The few cucumber discs were partially peeled. The taste was usually gone. If you have a few herbs from the pot with salt and pepper, the salad could have been worth its money. Not like that! 2* “Wimpy” was allowed to collect the empty plates that were painted on many corners and ask for satisfaction. In the meantime, “Popeye” ran repeatedly with his black Fiat Seicento pizza. It was time to get rid of cartons. If we get our food after twenty minutes, the terrace is full. (about 15 people with us. The lady naturally chose fresh pasta, and there are seven different varieties of different fillings. Tortelloni Ricotta e Spinaci (9,50 € Of course a finished product, but a very good one. The huge noodles beautifully outdated, the filling really tasty, good parmesan and a beautiful muscat note. The sauce on the basis of cream deceived with a lot of leaves of spinach, and I now claim that it was fresh, and I could also feed a whole noodle. Miss happy and tired, what do I want more? But since it wasn't done in this house, only 4*. Pizza Spizza (8.50 €) (Mozzarella, Salsiccia Calabrese, red onions, cocktail tomatoes, garlic If desired, this was not baked in the leaf but directly on stone. And you noticed. I was only surprised by the rhomb-shaped pattern in the pizza floor as if it was on a grid. The pizza wonderfully pink, maybe a little too thick the dough. Tomato sauce really spicy, garlic plentiful, tomatoes full of aroma and cheese mozarella. Only the census and the salsiccia again so rough. You could eat them well and I had more fun with it than I expected. I am striving for about 4* conclusion: I can make a conditional recommendation for food. The pizza can be something, the noodles are also of good quality. Let's practice salad again, but honestly; in Italy I rarely had better. I'm hard, three are too small, four for the raw food too much. 3.5 would be good, but there is not. Undoubtedly for the defendant, 4*, rounded! The service does what it needs, but not anymore. And that we had to wait ten minutes until the bill could be requested, is not a testimony of good performance. But they're kind. There's still air up there. 2* The ambience is not. 2* And clean it is only on the table. That's enough for 3*. I can't judge inside. Total impression: 3 – if it results, again! All the little things I can see if I want to go uncomplicated food. Only why is the Popeye Shop called? (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – when it comes back, 4 – again happy, 5 – necessarily back to the kitchen trip."

"I know brunos restaurant at its old location on the lerchenberg. I loved the old location with the great outdoor space to enjoy all the delicious local and international dishes. I follow him on facebook and wait every Sunday full of joy for the weekly lunch menu. this year during our trip to Germany I made this a mandatory stop to dinner. I haven't seen the new one locally yet and I wanted to try it out. I agree with most commentary, the new local is not in a typical restaurant location as it is located in the industrial area, but it had the great advantage that there was hardly any traffic and we found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. the restaurant has a great outdoor area with plenty of sitting and comfortable garden furniture. because of the cooler weather we decided to sit inside. the inner has a tasteful decor and plenty of seating for larger groups. we were immediately served by the owner bruno and had a nice table with a good view of the rest of the inner. we had luck and were personally served by bruno. the menu offers a lot of dresses that are supplemented by several day dishes. we chose a carving in cream sauce from the menu and a ragout from the specials. the food was absolutely delicious. the carving was soft as butter and had a nice crispy panad. the carved (plural) were served on the sawn sauce. I know that sounds unusual, but I really liked this part because neither the carving nor the pommes were soaked in sauce and I could enjoy the carving taste with and without sauce. I felt hard to finish it because it was a bit of food. my friend had the ragout with noodles. the presentation was very beautiful and the taste was excellent. the tenderness of the meat and the fullness of the sauce tasted like omas homemade ragout, which simmered throughout the day in a pot. we added eating with a weeping and (yes, harm to me) a Cola beer. we arrived late on Saturday night, but even after 21 o'clock, several groups of people flowed in. despite the business in the restaurant, the atmosphere was quiet and cozy and bruno continued to meet all its customers to ensure the satisfaction. overall we had an excellent time and would return more often if we were living in the opposite."

"It is apparent from the interior that this place used to be a non-Oriental establishment and no amount of plastic flowers or Asian trinkets hanging on the wall can mask its past. However, once your food is served there is no denying the restaurant’s faithfulness to Asian flavor which makes it easy for one to forgive the confused decor. A mixed Spezialitäten (specialties) of Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand with a bit of Chinese thrown in, all fill the menu. Prices for Suppen (soups) and Vorspeisen (appetizers) delightfully start around 1.50 Euros while the Spezialitäten take off at 6 Euros up. There’s a good variety to choose from as categorized by the main ingredients like Vegetarische Gerichte (Vegetable dishes), Nudelgerichte (Noodles), Reisgerichte (Rice with something else), Hühnerfleischgerichte (Chicken), Knusprige Hühnerfleischgerichte (Crispy Chicken Thighs done in different ways), Rindfleischgerichte (Beef), Schweinefleischgerichte (Pork), Entengerichte (Duck), Garnelen und Tintenfischgerichte (Shrimps and Squids) and the so called Spezialitäten (mixed ingredients). There are only two types of desserts but you probably won’t be craving for any once you’ve downed your food as servings are ala Deutsch (in huge portions). Typical sodas and juices are available as well as wine and other alcohol drinks like beer.A minor caveat to diners, though. It might take a while for your orders to reach your table as the place fills up with hungry patrons and people waiting by the doorway to pick-up their takeaways as all the food are simultaneously prepared. It is obvious that the restaurant is undermanned but again, the nicely cooked dishes can make you forget about the shortcomings. In general, the food’s taste is above the typical, more ubiquitous Asian restaurants around Mainz like Thai Express and yes, there is a long list of dishes on the menu that should entice you to come back many times over."
