"Excellent dîner. Je recommande absolument cette pizzeria car je viens ici depuis dis ans et je ne pense pas qu'il y ait d'aussi bonnes pizzas à Megève. Ce n'est pas vrai que les prix sont élevés, ils sont conformes aux prix locaux mais ici vous avez un produit de meilleure qualité. De plus, vous pourrez constater le savoir-faire du pizzaiolo italien; an chose très difficile de retrouver ici en France . J'étais très satisfait."

"The staff is not very attractive or very fast... I found once the drive closed (a "glazing floor" sign hitting the passage) at almost 7:00???? Otherwise, no order errors for the 3 times I went there."

"Que d'éloges si on lit les précédents avis...Personne ne s'étonne de trouver une carte très fournie, et d'être servi rapidement ? Impossible que tout soit cuisiné à la demande à partir de produits frais.Certains plats demandent beaucoup de travail pourtant...Rien d'exceptionnel dans ce que j'ai pu manger, et pourtant je suis une amatrice connaisseuse des différentes cuisines asiatiques. Le point positif étant en effet de manger exotique en station. L'accueil du patron est souriant."

"Nous sommes allés déjeuner au club du Mont d'Arbois et qu'elle ne fut pas notre déception ! Nous en avions garde un excellent souvenir , a l'époque cet endroit était tenu par la Baronne Nadine de Rothschild , et même les non golfeurs venaient y déjeuner ou prendre un goûter ( à leurs fameuses tartes aux myrtilles , j'en ai encore le goût délicieux ) et tout était frais copieux et bon ( Buffets les jours de pluies ou menus et carte les jours de beaux temps sur la terrasse ensoleillée ).Mais ça c'était avant , aujourd'hui malgré la gentillesse du personnel , l'atmosphère et les plaisirs de la table ne sont plus au rendez vous , par contre les prix eux le sont pour une cuisine inexistante un carte pauvrette des pâtes avec une sauce en boite , des frites tristounettes une salade sans sauce etc ...Il est dommage que de si bons souvenirs s'en soient allés"

"Le barman et la serveuse sont plutôt sympa et accueillant. Le cadre est dans le coup avec terrasses à l'avant et à l'arrière. Vite installé à l'intérieur (pluie). Par contre dans l'assiette rien ne va plus: tout est congelé, calamars à la romaine, le fish and chips, la tarte Metro. OK, on en a pour 15€ mais ça ne vaut pas plus et le chef n'est cuisinier que de nom. Le plus désagréable est de constater que les habitués ont des assiettes plus copieuses que les gens de passage. Effectivement, c'est le moins cher de Megève......"

"The crepes are really very good (salts and flats: it is much too fast, so little time to enjoy the place.We were served minutes after the arrival; so far, ok why not. the salts swallowed, you get the map of the desserts, take the order min after, and crêpes barely later. When you're on holiday it's really too fast.To finish, you didn't know it but cider bottle billed a little too much to our taste. But don't lose sight of the essential: the ridges are excellent."

"We had two salads as starters, both covered in a lot of tasteless sauce. Disappointing. Filet de beuf was overcooked and also covered in a liquid sauce that tasted of everything but morilles mushrooms. Ordered a classic steak tartare, been given the italian version without asking/apologising. Could not even taste the meat as it was all parmesan+garlic. I complained to the waitress who only laughed in return. Ice creams were ok, at least!"

"let me begin with the positive: we were warmly and efficiently welcomed; there were parking possibilities and we were led directly to the restaurant. the latter, despite the subway, does not feel at all claustrophobic, and the entire ambiente is quite good, therefore kudos too. the decorator architekt. the personal was very friendly, but the service was badly coordinated: after a long wait we had to remind them to bring the bottle chablis, the appetitors arrived late, we had to ask for brotbutter (while we wait for our appetitors to arrive), and both the appetitors and the main courses felt overwhelmed without the corresponding result in the taste. we ordered the cuisses de grenouilles for the risotto truffe noire for the octopus ceviche (acter of the day), and the velouté de topinambours for overall we paid (incl. wein in the value of two and we were both deeply disappointed by the quality of the courts, the (un)timeliness of the service and the total lack of money. we have visited practically all the top restaurants in megève, and although the village is not famous for its value for money, the total experience definitiw this restaurant has set on our black list."

"We've been staying in the Lodge Park in Megeve for 5 days - the hotel is lovely.I only tend to post reviews when something really upsets me - so here goes.In Megeve we've eaten in some really good restaurants - Table de Trapper, Ideal ( expensive but worth it), La Fruitiere, Flocons Village. I probably eat out over 100 times a year.On our last night in Megeve this year we thought we'd eat in the hotel's restaurant Beef Lodge. What a mistake to make.It started badly when we were ushered to a table next to a pillar only fit to seat one person.Then the lady waiter offered me the menu before my wife - bad form.We ordered our food from what looked like a good menu, and our wine. The waiter suggested we finish the aperitif before tasting the wine - then forgot us - I poured and tasted myself.Staters came and were good.Main course came, my fillet steak (ordered a pointe)came and was well done. I said to the waiter that it was overcooked and she said a pointe meant well done! We googled and it confirmed a pointe is rare to medium rare I.e. Perfect. My wife looked on whilst this occurred and the waiter offered to recook my steak - my wife asked to keep the other steak warm so that we could both eat at the same time!When the steak came back the waiter passed me the portion of cold fries - when I suggested warm ones were appropriate she took them away. My wife's steak had gone cold - had not been kept warm - I had no cutlery. After two minutes we said that we'd had enough an retired to the hotel bar.A bill of 139 euros was presented for starters and wine, leaving me hungry.Not good service, hospitality or complaint management. Plenty of better places to eat in this lovely town.Avoid."

"Cet endroit vient d'être racheté et la différence se fait tout de suite sentir. La cuisine typiquement savoyarde mérite de s'améliorer mais le reste de la carte propose des plats intéressants. L'accueil est enfin chaleureux et le rapport qualité prix est excellent. L'emplacement est simplement remarquable car il se trouve en plein cœur de Megeve. Je vous conseille vivement d'essayer cet endroit. Mon avis concerne pour le moment la saison d'été."

"Nous étions 7 convives de la même famille et sur les conseils du site la Fourchette, qui prôner un menu moyen à 20 euros et de bonne qualité, nous sommes allés dîner dans cet établissement. Hors ce n'est pas tellement la faute du restaurant mais plutôt celle du site qui doit fournir des informations erronées mais les prix sont assez élevé rien à voir avec ceux mentionnés par le site . Nous sommes quand même resté dîner mais je reconnais qu'à MEGEVE. Tout est onéreux et ma fois le restaurant est pas mal, la cuisine bonne mais pas à la mesure des prix affichés et surtout cette forte odeur de fromage qui plane dans la salle est assez gênante pour un établissement comme celui ci qui possède également un hôtel étoilé.il faudra préciser qu'un établissement de cette catégorie possède de belle toilettes mais avec des sèches mains qui ne fonctionne pas et des murs de lavabos en décrépitude. Quitte à ce considéré comme un établissement de standing avec les tarifs qui vont avec, il est préférable d'être irréprochable !"

"nous avons eu l'occasion de déjeuner à plusieurs reprises l'été dans cet établissement ...la cuisine y était très correcte ...en revanche nous nous y sommes arrêtés cette année en février et la ..grosse déception ... service ultra long , mauvaise organisation , et la cerise sur le gâteau une salade verte avec un bout de reblochon insipide dont le contenu tenait dans une assiette à dessert et cela pour 19 € , ne parlons pas du croque monsieur grillé limite brûlé et froid à l’intérieur... extrêmement décevant !!!"

"The nice gent who takes your skis said they were full, but then, after a quick chat, a table for 4 was secured. Result! Now, bearing in mind this was a lovely sunny day in Feb....they were indeed full. However, within a few minutes the...order was taken and excellent hearty food appeared. Two subsequent orders were quickly sorted, with good humour and accuracy on a clearly busy day. There is an abundance of good food and excellent service here so it is well worth the money. Not one for every day as one would become too hefty to ski away, but definitely one for a special day."

"We read this was under new management but decided to take our chances, since we enjoyed dining on the terrace on sunny days in past seasons.We arrived early without a reservation but they found us a table (best to reserve if you want to sit outside on a sunny afternoon). Service was a bit slow to get going but they were trying really hard. I think some of the staff are same as previous seasons but there seemed to be lots of discussions about who was doing what! No matter, we were enjoying New Year's Day drinks in the sunshine.The buffet lunch spread has gone but there is still a dessert buffet option. The menu is limited but appetising - lobster half and whole, steaks, fish stew of the day etc. Prices are quite steep, but it's a panoramic terrace so to be expected in megeve. The kids can choose between fish, chicken breast and burger (15 euros). And the best news ..... The food was surprisingly good! We tried the monk fish fish stew which came with potato gratin (very good) , half lobster which came with lovely potato purée and some whelks (not a fan, would have preferred more lobster). Kids plates were great - very nicely cooked fresh fillet of fish and frites and a fresh chicken breast with a creamy sauce with lardons which my son loved (welcome departure from the usual nuggets on nearly every Menu in town). It would have been considerate of the kitchen to remove the bones in the child's fish as there were many and I had to do that for my daughter. Also, I would rejoice to see a few vegetables on the children's plates. Main dishes are served with sides but I see there are extra vegetable portions and potato dishes that can be ordered. We were there early so saw a lot of food for other tables pass by and all looked very good - especially the steaks and starter sharing plate. Desserts were a very good deal and I hope they continue with the buffet idea and generous portions! You can buy singly but we chose 3 desserts st 19 Euris to share and they were delicious.So, all in all, this looks very promising and if they build on this, I think it could turn out better than the previous restaurant (I was never a fan of the previous overpriced savoury buffet anyway). We shall be back.Also, there is a separate burger van (monkey diner has migrated up the slopes) at the end of the terrace where you can sit at a few tables and deck chairs. Great idea and seemed to be busy.Interesting to see how this will develop over the season. Good luck! We asked for a card with the new details - there wasn't one?! Might be a good idea....!"
