"my partner and I decided to check the old inns services and passed over the milano express, which is left from the railway station. this restaurant offers a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. as they expect, this is a restaurant, which mainly sells Italian dishes. from the rather extensive menu my partner chose the steakburger who came with a part of chips while I had the pollo ratouille with rice. both meals were very delicious."

"This is an outstanding establishment in this price bracket. That said, I actually think it is under priced given the professional service, quality of food in the restaurant and hearty breakfast. The restaurant's atmosphere was also wonderful.While some aspects of the room are a little functional, at less than per night I think The Coachman is a bargain! All staff were wonderfully warm and friendly and the business appears to be very well run. I'll certainly recommend The Coachman and look to return if I'm in the area again. stars all round. "On February 29th, my group and I were surprised when the manager informed us at 10:15pm that the restaurant was closing and we needed to finish our drinks and leave the bar. Shortly after, another staff member approached us with her jacket on and reiterated that we needed to vacate the premises. In a group of 21 people, along with three of us and another two ladies, we were all asked to leave. Earlier, at 9:50pm, the group of 21 had requested another round of drinks and were told they had to pay by card if they wanted to order more. Last orders were called at 10pm. When the manager returned at 10:25pm wearing his jacket, we questioned him about the closing time, as the website indicated it was open until 11pm. He explained that from December to June, the restaurant closes at 10:30pm, but we noted that the website had not been updated to reflect this change. This review would not have been written if the staff had not been so abrupt in their approach. Sincerely, Tracy Watson."

"The quality of food is great and not only are the staff polite and helpful the waiting time for food is on point. I’d definitely recommend the windmill to my family and friends whenever they ask if theres a relaxed place and atmosphere to get a good munch! Parking: There’s available parking around the back of the building and there’s spaces out front too. Kid-friendliness: They have a claw machine and a kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a side door that has an easy access ramp for people that are in a wheelchair."

"Enjoyed the beer garden in the sunshine yesterday. The food was so good I practically inhaled it. We both got burgers cooked to perfection. Sharon, who served us at the bar, deserves a special mention. Despite being busy she took the time to answer questions about the menu and went into detail about the quality of the cuts of meat. We’re definitely going back to try a few of the other meals she mentioned."

Normally I am hard to impress as I worked in the gast friendship, but I have broken my arc I took my sling on the table when I uneasy to wear, the staff had noticed it when I came and came past to say that the cook would not know that would be recommended here for everyone."

"Felt bad, because I had suggested we go to Artisan. Today all four of us were disappointed with our meals. Two of us had Cajun salad, One had fish and chips the other chicken and potatoes. The chicken seem tough and the plate overwhelmed with leaves but no taste to the salad. The chicken in the potato dish tough too. All left a great deal on the plate. Even the cheese cake lacked substance. I do think the sticky toffee pudding was good for two of our party. We did tell the staff we were unhappy with our meals. We were not offered a discount or waver. Some people can be fussy but four people cannot be wrong. Staff were very friendly but this does not detract from the disappointment of the meals. unfortunately we will not be back again."

"No idea how this place has so many good reviews. When we arrived we were waiting for nearly 10 minutes with nobody at the front desk to check us in. Eventually I had to pop my head into the restaurant to get someone to check us in to our room. Not ideal when we had driven 4 hours to get there. We were also told the bar and restaurant had a fault and hot breakfast wouldn’t be served in the morning. Far from ideal to start with. The room itself was a tiny attic room, half the size of our bedroom at home. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and the radiator had been left on full so it was absolutely sweltering when we went in. I had been looking forward to a shower but this was the worst showering experience in my life. The water came out of the shower with nothing more than a dribble. It took me 15 minutes to get showered properly due to this and at 11pm at night, was a huge annoyance, especially after the bad news and inconvenience with check in. There was also only half a toilet roll on the holder when we arrived, which made me disgusted to think that it was probably kept on there from someone else’s stay. On our second night there must have been an event on as we could hear music blaring out until the early hours, as well as people shouting and screaming. Only convenience was the proximity to the train station, but I would advise anyone to save their money and go to a travelodge or premier inn at least they have working showers and decent food drink amenities."

"The food at Singh's Tasty Village is delicious. The curries have great base flavors and the spice blend for the South Indian garlic chili chicken curry was perfectly balanced, although a bit too sweet for my liking. The chicken korma had a tasty sauce but was too thick and gloopy. The chicken pakoras were plentiful, well-priced, and not soggy at all. They were more authentic than typical takeaway pakoras, with a crispy coating and juicy chicken. The portion sizes were generous and I would definitely go back for more. Overall, Singh's Tasty Village offers high-quality food at reasonable prices with fast delivery times. The only downside was that the delivery driver tried to charge more than the total on two occasions, so it's wise to keep the final statement handy when paying cash. Despite this, I still enjoyed my meal and would recommend this restaurant."

"Yesterday we decided to give the New Gulistan a try and placed an order at 5.10 for a set meal for 2..We patiently waited until 6.20 and then my husband called to cancel the delivery only to be told it had already left and was on its way. At 6.50 after it had been cancelled,the delivery guy knocked at the door with the food, which had to be freezing cold after being driven all around for more than half an hour.We live 600 meters away from the restaurant. Disappointed is an understatement, we heard good things and now well never get to try it."

"Phoned for a takeaway meal for myself and my granddaughter who was due to visit. I had asked my granddaughter to collect it for me and I would make the phone call while she was on her way. However when I tried to give my card details to the girl taking the call she asked me to pay by cash when I collected. I explained that someone was on their way to collect and I didn’t know if they had cash on them but she still was reluctant to take my card details. So I agreed to phone my granddaughter to check. Granddaughter did not have enough cash to pay so I had to transfer money to her account so that she go to a cash machine before picking up the meals. I then phoned the restaurant back to confirm this and asked why they were not accepting card payment any more. She replied that cash was easier for them when people were popping in to collect. Well it certainly was not easier for me. The food was lovely though."

"Usually have a very good time and this time wasn't much of an exception, however it seemed to me that, on this occasion, the kitchen was short staffed or unprepared for the night as the cooks were visibly stressed and upset, food wait times were long depending on the meal (pizza thankfully did not take long however i did overhear staff talking of waits yp to an hour) and much of the carvery food had sat out too long. Roast potatoes hard as bricks for example. I do not hold it against them but as my daughter had wanted to come here for her birthday dinner it was a little disappointing. Still do not let this put you off as this is not the norm for Broadwood farm. I've had many a great meal there and will definitely be back. We all have bad nights and this was simply one of them. They were clearly doing the best with what they had but either due to sickness or poor planning on management's part, they were struggling. Also as a side note I do not believe it is fair that the kitchen staff themselves should have to come out with dishes and apologise to patrons. As a former cook and chef, they have enough to deal with in the back nevermind doing front of houses job as well. This should be scrapped. 6/10 10/08/24"

"This evening my boyfriend and I visited the restaurant reluctantly and unsure of what they would have on offer for me (a vegan). But to my delight, they were able to cater to my every need and more. Siddhesh answered every question with confidence and knowledge. The staff were lovely and polite, whilst delivering a quick and pleasant service. I am so pleased with my visit to the restaurant, as not only were the above positives present the food was delicious too!! They also had a vegan chocolate cake which was superb. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in future! Thank you to you all!"

"Disappointing experience for Christmas dinner. The writing was on the wall when we ordered drinks only to find out that there were very few soft drinks available, including no lemonade. The food, which was actually decent overall, took quite long to be served but appreciate that can happen in a busy restaurant for Christmas dinner. Though, perhaps a gap of one hour is too long to wait between starter and main course and main course and dessert! Unfortunately the attitude of staff was poor at times; letting their stress and exasperation overspill into their engagement with customers. Only one staff member can be excepted from this criticism; a very attentive and helpful gentleman who clearly wanted our experience to be better but who was hamstrung by the poor planning and organisation by senior staff. You would have thought there would be better planning for Christmas Day but one staff member was constantly checking his phone for food pre-orders whilst scurrying around trying to serve. I would have thought these details would have been printed out multiple times and given to relevant staff in advance of the sitting. We were also served part lukewarm/part cold sticky toffee pudding for dessert. And on receiving our bill the deposit had not been taken off so we had to request this. Overall, it was poorly planned, poorly organised and badly executed. A very disappointing experience. We most certainly will not be returning to this restaurant."

"Booked in advance for the restaurant. We have been many times pre concert and have been in the restaurant. Very surprised to be told we were in the bar area when we arrived. The area we were put to was at the back of the bar in a freezing cold part of the venue. I did feel for Emily our server as she was very attentive but was obviously embarrassed about the situation. There seems to have been many patrons put in a similar situation as us having pre booked. We had no communication beforehand that tables were not been given as booked. Unfortunately for us people who had not booked were getting seats in the warmer part of the area. We did have the food and there was no question it was of a high standard. However, rather than stay for the 2 hours we left straight after we had eaten. I really don’t feel like we would book here again as it really ruined our experience."

"Been using Michaels now for the past 3 years and normally order once a week. There are 3 Chinese takeaways in this area and Michaels is marginally better than the other two. Be prepared to hit the redial button when you phone as it’s often busy (our record is 81 times) before giving up. Staff in the shop are pretty friendly however different kettle of fish when rating the delivery driver woman. We’ve maybe had deliveries 3 or 4 times in the 3 years (last night she even moaned about where our house was, she said she had a big car, it was hard for her to get out and asked if we could tell the shop the next time we order a delivery).Now, maybe I was having a bad night (just come out of a 6 night stay in hospital) but found the comment unacceptable. When I closed the door I realised how cheeky her comments were.Like I say, the food is the best between the 3(only just) but after last nights escapade I will be trying the 2nd one from now on."

"Owner Giuliano is friendly and very welcoming! I walked to Giuliano's from my hotel in Cumbernauld to try authentic Scottish Fish Chips for my dinner that Saturday night. Giuliano immediately engaged me in conversation. He explained all the dishes as I watched him work behind the counter. I ordered the haddock fish with chips and walked back to my hotel to eat. I enjoyed a generous portions of hot, tasty chips and haddock. Finally, I tasted real Scottish Fish Chips! I had not had an opportunity to have fish chips earlier during my trip, so I was happy to have the opportunity at long last and within a stone's throw of my hotel. I returned Monday night for my final meal in Scotland as I was leaving early the next morning. I ordered mince pie and chips. Again, I walked to my hotel to eat and enjoyed hot, delicious food. I enjoyed the mince pie! After my dinner, I returned to Giuliano's and ordered a small tub of cherry gelato after Giuliano offered me tastes of other flavors. Giuliano and I talked the entire time I visited his shop, and I met his daughter as well. I love that this is a family owned and operated business.
