"my partner and I decided to check the old inns services and passed over the milano express, which is left from the railway station. this restaurant offers a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. as they expect, this is a restaurant, which mainly sells Italian dishes. from the rather extensive menu my partner chose the steakburger who came with a part of chips while I had the pollo ratouille with rice. both meals were very delicious."

"The food at Singh's Tasty Village is delicious. The curries have great base flavors and the spice blend for the South Indian garlic chili chicken curry was perfectly balanced, although a bit too sweet for my liking. The chicken korma had a tasty sauce but was too thick and gloopy. The chicken pakoras were plentiful, well-priced, and not soggy at all. They were more authentic than typical takeaway pakoras, with a crispy coating and juicy chicken. The portion sizes were generous and I would definitely go back for more. Overall, Singh's Tasty Village offers high-quality food at reasonable prices with fast delivery times. The only downside was that the delivery driver tried to charge more than the total on two occasions, so it's wise to keep the final statement handy when paying cash. Despite this, I still enjoyed my meal and would recommend this restaurant."

"Yesterday we decided to give the New Gulistan a try and placed an order at 5.10 for a set meal for 2..We patiently waited until 6.20 and then my husband called to cancel the delivery only to be told it had already left and was on its way. At 6.50 after it had been cancelled,the delivery guy knocked at the door with the food, which had to be freezing cold after being driven all around for more than half an hour.We live 600 meters away from the restaurant. Disappointed is an understatement, we heard good things and now well never get to try it."

"Arrived early for our booking and staff were very helpful and accommodating by seating us straight away. We ordered a sharing starter which was the only issue we had as within minutes of ordering it was out on the table (however we watched a starter (same as we had ordered) returned to the kitchen from another table. So we tried ours which was freezing. We informed the staff who said it wasn’t supposed to be hot. My husband asked for a fresh one because it needs to be under heat to melt the cheese which ours was not even remotely hot, it was cold so he didn’t think it had been made fresh. The staff were brilliant though and replaced our meal. The rest of our food was delicious."

Both my main course and dessert were perfect, with large portions cooked to perfection. The prices were very reasonable compared to other nearby restaurants. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend New Franklyns to everyone."

"No idea how this place has so many good reviews. When we arrived we were waiting for nearly 10 minutes with nobody at the front desk to check us in. Eventually I had to pop my head into the restaurant to get someone to check us in to our room. Not ideal when we had driven 4 hours to get there. We were also told the bar and restaurant had a fault and hot breakfast wouldn’t be served in the morning. Far from ideal to start with. The room itself was a tiny attic room, half the size of our bedroom at home. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and the radiator had been left on full so it was absolutely sweltering when we went in. I had been looking forward to a shower but this was the worst showering experience in my life. The water came out of the shower with nothing more than a dribble. It took me 15 minutes to get showered properly due to this and at 11pm at night, was a huge annoyance, especially after the bad news and inconvenience with check in. There was also only half a toilet roll on the holder when we arrived, which made me disgusted to think that it was probably kept on there from someone else’s stay. On our second night there must have been an event on as we could hear music blaring out until the early hours, as well as people shouting and screaming. Only convenience was the proximity to the train station, but I would advise anyone to save their money and go to a travelodge or premier inn at least they have working showers and decent food drink amenities."

"Usually have a very good time and this time wasn't much of an exception, however it seemed to me that, on this occasion, the kitchen was short staffed or unprepared for the night as the cooks were visibly stressed and upset, food wait times were long depending on the meal (pizza thankfully did not take long however i did overhear staff talking of waits yp to an hour) and much of the carvery food had sat out too long. Roast potatoes hard as bricks for example. I do not hold it against them but as my daughter had wanted to come here for her birthday dinner it was a little disappointing. Still do not let this put you off as this is not the norm for Broadwood farm. I've had many a great meal there and will definitely be back. We all have bad nights and this was simply one of them. They were clearly doing the best with what they had but either due to sickness or poor planning on management's part, they were struggling. Also as a side note I do not believe it is fair that the kitchen staff themselves should have to come out with dishes and apologise to patrons. As a former cook and chef, they have enough to deal with in the back nevermind doing front of houses job as well. This should be scrapped. 6/10 10/08/24"

"Recently ordered a FULL lamb chasni which should come with both rice and naan, however only received rice. My bottle of coke was also out of date. Called up to rectify the issue and initially it sounded like they will send a naan to me, then got a call back 2 minutes later to say it doesn't come with a naan, a full is either rice or naan, I pointed out that is not what it says on the menu.. they blamed the host of the menu (Being Just Eat). I took him at his word, seemed weird, but arranged to have a free drink next order. Later I talked to a couple of people who use the take away regularly, they told me yes it should come with both, I checked a competitor to JE they use Scoffable says the exact same thing comes with both, and a physical menu I had also says the same thing. So they guy actually lied to me to save himself sending out a naan, even though he was going to send a driver back for a refund for the drink initially. Really Really sad, the food quality was actually good... it was soured by a lie to save a couple of pounds. Now word of mouth will spread with some people and they lost customers already from the 2 that spoke to me. Absolutely silly thing to do."

"Disappointing experience for Christmas dinner. The writing was on the wall when we ordered drinks only to find out that there were very few soft drinks available, including no lemonade. The food, which was actually decent overall, took quite long to be served but appreciate that can happen in a busy restaurant for Christmas dinner. Though, perhaps a gap of one hour is too long to wait between starter and main course and main course and dessert! Unfortunately the attitude of staff was poor at times; letting their stress and exasperation overspill into their engagement with customers. Only one staff member can be excepted from this criticism; a very attentive and helpful gentleman who clearly wanted our experience to be better but who was hamstrung by the poor planning and organisation by senior staff. You would have thought there would be better planning for Christmas Day but one staff member was constantly checking his phone for food pre-orders whilst scurrying around trying to serve. I would have thought these details would have been printed out multiple times and given to relevant staff in advance of the sitting. We were also served part lukewarm/part cold sticky toffee pudding for dessert. And on receiving our bill the deposit had not been taken off so we had to request this. Overall, it was poorly planned, poorly organised and badly executed. A very disappointing experience. We most certainly will not be returning to this restaurant."

"Had dinner in Culdesac on Friday night. My friend and I both had strawberry daiquiri's and i can honestly say was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. We both had two courses,there was a few specials on, I had one of...the specials which was the peppered steak pie (Il get back to that one). To start my friend had the chicken tempura and I had the chilli meatballs both of us really enjoyed our starters and you can tell the food is cooked fresh here,they were delicious. For the mains my friend had chicken fajitas and I had the special which was peppered steak pie,this was amazing I have never tasted anything like this,it was so good, I have never heard of this before but would highly recommend this to anyone. When we got the bill the waitress had given us the 2 course deal which she didn't have to do as the special wasn't part of it. Our bill came to just under £35 and I would've payed more as we really enjoyed our meals,the atmosphere was great and the staff were lovely(so friendly and very welcoming).if your looking for amazing fresh food with a twist and reasonably priced I would definitely recommend this place."

"Booked in advance for the restaurant. We have been many times pre concert and have been in the restaurant. Very surprised to be told we were in the bar area when we arrived. The area we were put to was at the back of the bar in a freezing cold part of the venue. I did feel for Emily our server as she was very attentive but was obviously embarrassed about the situation. There seems to have been many patrons put in a similar situation as us having pre booked. We had no communication beforehand that tables were not been given as booked. Unfortunately for us people who had not booked were getting seats in the warmer part of the area. We did have the food and there was no question it was of a high standard. However, rather than stay for the 2 hours we left straight after we had eaten. I really don’t feel like we would book here again as it really ruined our experience."

"Been using Michaels now for the past 3 years and normally order once a week. There are 3 Chinese takeaways in this area and Michaels is marginally better than the other two. Be prepared to hit the redial button when you phone as it’s often busy (our record is 81 times) before giving up. Staff in the shop are pretty friendly however different kettle of fish when rating the delivery driver woman. We’ve maybe had deliveries 3 or 4 times in the 3 years (last night she even moaned about where our house was, she said she had a big car, it was hard for her to get out and asked if we could tell the shop the next time we order a delivery).Now, maybe I was having a bad night (just come out of a 6 night stay in hospital) but found the comment unacceptable. When I closed the door I realised how cheeky her comments were.Like I say, the food is the best between the 3(only just) but after last nights escapade I will be trying the 2nd one from now on."

"Got a Groupon deal for 2 steak dinners and drinks for 2, got there and they had no licence to sell alcohol so was 2 soft drinks and they had a sign up for a steak meal for £7.50 which is strange as I paid £22 for my 2 which was supposedly a saving from £52.80 so felt ripped off right away but though I would give the food a try, paid £3.45 for 4 very small pieces of chicken pakora as a starter which was ridiculous and then came the main course which tasted like it had been marinated in salt, service was also very slow and when asked about desserts we were told they only had 2 things left as they were very busy, I could not in good faith recommended this eatery to anyone and I will definitely not be returning ."

"Last time we dined here was about 10 years ago but we thought we'd give it a try and we were very glad we did. The staff couldnt have been any more welcoming, friendly and professional. Very attentive and courteous without being overbearing. Now down to brass tacks, the food was truly amazing! We chose from the Valentine offer menu which came with a complementary glass of prosecco however they very kindly offered to swap them to a lager and glass if white wine instead. My wife had chicken pakora which was delicious and my chicken chaat was juicy, flavoursome and perfectly cooked. The portion sizes for these starters was very generous and the dishes well presented. For our mains we had chicken korma which was rich and creamy and full of flavour and one of the best lamb bhoonas i've ever tasted. Both were bursting with meat and we struggled to finish them as we both had a portion of rice each and shared a perfectly done nann. We usually share one rice and nann but we thought what the hell, we had both saved ourselves for this lol. To finish we had gulab jamin with ice cream, lovely. And a coffee to finish. All that for £29.95 each is exceptional value. This offer runs right up to Valentines Day and i cant recommend it enough, you wont be disappointed. The waiter even presented my good lady with a red rose before we left. Excellent food, amazing service and at a phenomenal price, totally 5 stars! Thanks to all at Bombay Dreams!"

"we had just a meal at this fabulous venue, eating was absolutely delicious and the presentation of all dishes, from beginners to desserts, was impeccable. the restaurant is immaculately clean and has the most cozy and intimate ambiente, a return absolutely necessary, the warm welcome and the cheerful smile of the staff and the love to detail on each level, sets this new venue of the others. the prices are so competitive that we have actually asked if they had made a mistake, as the calculation for the quality and quantity of food we had consumed seemed so low. this food is of the highest quality. we have left this restaurant completely satisfied and cannot believe that we have eaten so healthy, that eating was so attractive and so delicious. if this is the way for healthy eating, they count us in! this restaurant must be tried to be believed, we have already booked our return. thanks to the entire Lo-Cal team for a wonderful evening and great eating."

"visited on Friday night for anniversary dinner.... arrived seated straight away in the lovely new extension .... bright airy and very stylish have seen previous reviews with reagrds to the music personally we found the volume to be absolutely fine.... drinks were brought by a nice young girl who made us feel very welcome.... ordered al a carte and i must say we have eaten italian all over even in italy..... not a patch on the food at benkaz ..... gamberoni and meatballs to start.... my husband had a fillet which was cooked to perfection i had the chicken milanse delicious.... the home made sweets and bellini topped the evening off..... all in all price food surroundings and staff are all top notch.... first visit and will not be the last keep up the good work ...."

"First of all, this takeaway is located in Uddingston, Lanarkshire, not Falkirk. It is hands down the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. I have enjoyed almost every meal I have ordered from here as their curry sauce and special chop sueys are fantastic. They have great options for vegetarians and have assured me that their vegetarian dishes do not contain any animal products. The only downside is that some friends have mentioned that the chicken dishes they have ordered did not seem like real chicken. However, this can be easily remedied by requesting breast of chicken or opting for a vegetarian option. Overall, I give the Shatin four stars, despite its questionable name."

"Booked a 130pm table for 3 for lunch. Can 't complain about the food, which was really nice but the service was atrocious and completely ruined the meal for all 3 of us. Drinks order was wrong which can happen but we were offered a dessert menu by the waiter, but when we where approached to take our order, the female manager (I presume) was abrupt and told us we couldn 't have dessert or tea/coffee as they were now shut (it was 225pm) and then proceeded to ask us 'so what do you want to do? '. The three of us were left awkwardly sitting. We paid and left quickly. We will not be back."

"This lovely airy cafe spanning inside and out offers an excellent selection of homemade food that 's becoming more and more popular as we start to eat healthier. I have recently become a fan of superfoods and all things chickpea which is great but it does mean 'treating ' myself when I go out. This is the lovely thing about The Project Cafe, the food is mostly salads and snacks and a good selection of desserts and cakes. I had the bulgar wheat salad with caramelized onions, a latte, a glass of mineral water and a piece of lemon drizzle cake. I had had a late appointment so decided that this would be the main meal of the day and I wasn 't disappointed! The portions were excellent and very flavoursome. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and had no problem offering to take my food to my table for me as my mobility is challenged and I use a walking aid. The café is situated up a slope which has a considerable incline but if you take it slowly it 's not so bad. I will definitely be tackling the slope to return here. I 'm so glad to have found it!!"
