"I honestly don't have a complaint in the world about this cafe, I've been several times now and it ticks every box. My non-vegan mother usually avoids non-dairy milk in favour of black coffee if there is no cow's milk option, but she says that the cappuccino here is the best she's ever had (vegan or otherwise! . The food is well portioned, very fairly priced and high quality. The venue itself often hosts events, which is evident in the ambiance. It's somewhat low-light and cozy, but could easily become a punk venue if it needed to be. There's not much like it in Weston, so it's a wonderful escape for those who don't generally fit into the area (though of course anyone would enjoy it . I'm glad to have a cafe like this in my area and can't wait for the next time!"

"Popped in for a light lunch, and ended up finding a little gem. I ordered the eggs Benedict, eggs were cooked perfectly, lovely and smooth hollandaise, well seasoned. My partner ordered a jacket potato with tuna which she said was lovely. Her stand out favourite was the coleslaw, we both like it when people use thick mayonnaise to make it. All in all, just a lovely simple lunch visit with polite and helpful staff. We will be returning"

"This pub seems to be all over the place. lovely carvery but meat cold, lovely range of drinks at fair price but only one person serving hence queue and even colder food. It seems to be new owners yet again, who will take time to get it right. As for the customers it seems to be how much food can I get onto a small size plate. If you want a large dinner for goodness sake just pay the extra couple of quid to have one, it really is not a good look. The poor old pub needs to make a profit and the food is very good value why be so so tight. The biggest downside is the bar area , it is not quite as clean as it could be, the decor is old and tired and the seating is very close and cramped in places. This pub could be the pride of Nailsea with a little investment in the ambience and staff."

"a great new restaurant with the most beautiful Christmas menu. Surrounded are beautiful, workers attentive to eating wow! Roast potatoes to die, bark shiny was just divine, chicken cherrine was delish. and did I mention the bratkartoffeln? omg. we also had cornish hake a nut on the table roasted, all cooked for perfection. the whispering of chocolate pattytone, ice cream, cheeseboard chesscake all received again serious attention, fabulous! seriously! If they did not try this venue, please book it. You will not be disappointed!"

"We were trying to find a cosy pub with a garden and found this gem in Locking. I'll be honest, from a glance at the photos, I thought it would be cheap and cheerful hungry horse type. I had 2 starving kids so we made our way over to the pub. To our surprise, they had a gorgeous pub garden in full sunshine but plenty of parasols to keep little ones in the shade. The outside is kept clean and tidy! We ordered white bait, calamari, falafel salad, scampi and chips and 2 kids meal deals (cheesy pasta). It was absolutely amazing! So good I forgot to take pictures, we ate everything. Best part is how reasonably priced the menu is! The staff and service was wonderful. Truly friendly, happy and the customers reflect the atmosphere of the place which is warm and welcoming. Thank you so much for your hospitality, hopefully see you again soon!"
"Another meal at this South African-themed pub and a fantastic experience. The Bobotie Croquettes starter were delicious, and the bunny chow main course was bursting with flavor. The tender meat and aromatic spices in the bunny chow were perfectly balanced, and the bread bowl was soft and fluffy. The sides of chakalaka and sambals added even more depth of flavor. The service was exceptional, with a knowledgeable and friendly server making excellent recommendations. The warm and inviting atmosphere was perfect for a casual dinner with friends and family. Overall, I highly recommend this pub for a top-notch South African-inspired meal. Five stars!"

"We’d booked for a family meal but were abruptly told when we sat down that a mistake had been made and the kitchen was in fact intended to be closed. The member of staff serving us emphasised she had been made to come in especially to accommodate us for two hours (making us feel guilty/as if it was our fault). We were told several items weren’t available and we were happy to be flexible. The food was nice but the brisk reception was a mood killer. It would have been better to call us to tell us that a mistake had been made, so we could have made other plans and avoided the bad vibes."

"What a fantastic discovery! This charming pub features a delightful garden, welcoming staff, and a hearty Sunday roast that I've enjoyed three times now. It's far superior to other pub roasts in the area, with plenty of extras included at a reasonable price. While I haven't tried the dessert yet, I'm definitely drawn to the gin and tonic cheesecake. I'm amazed this hidden gem hasn't attracted more attention from the crowds!"

"We planned a pre cinema tapas meal but the restaurant we were heading to was full ... Our friends at Moguls came to the rescue and although almost full at 6.30 in the evening, they had one table for four left! A quick dash to CoOp for some beers and our orders were taken ... I chose the chicken shazlick which was absolutely gorgeous ... super fresh, super tasty and a huge sizzling plateful ... I wish I'd taken a photo but I just dived in! The other meals and sides we're all highly praised too. You could not wish for friendlier more attentive service either and always amazing value because of the restaurant being byo. Thank you all and see you soon!"

"My experience at the coffee house in Weston-super-mare was disappointing. I was shocked to see a coworker named Brand coming from behind the service counter and petting a customer's dog. It seemed like Brand knew the dog, but it was concerning to see him handle the pet and then go back to touching food preparation surfaces. Another staff member ended up serving us, as we were uncomfortable with the situation. This lack of cleanliness and appropriate handling of food items was disappointing. Strict hygiene protocols should be followed, and as a result, we would not choose to dine there again."

"We booked for 12 of us. Roast dinner amazing, lots of meat, lots of veg, cauliflower cheese came as standard. Burgers looked great too. None of our burgers had onion rings which was queried as menu stated they came included. None arrived anyway but the price of a meal was taken off our bill which we were pleasantly surprised with. The only negative was our table. Two of our chairs wouldn’t pull out very much as the fire surround was in the way, even the skinny ones struggled with this. Well worth a visit for the roast though as this was definitely one of the nicest I’ve had and good value."

"Staff were polite and friendly. One thing I didn't agree with though...I ordered the fish, chips and peas but asked if I could swap the peas for curry sauce and they said ok. On paying my bill I had been charged extra for the curry sauce even though I did not have the peas. I don't think there was any need for the extra charge."

"this place is now called lucy’s, but also browns stateside diner. we're here on 03-05-22. we arrived shortly after 9 o'clock after 11 o'clock. the service was horrificly slow, which she lost our ticket, the order was massacred! my daughter ordered the pancakes that had blueberries but not specified on the menu. I asked for milk three times to go with the tea, but that was never materialized. the wrong milkshake came up, which was so not busy with only 2 other families in the inner of the diner. they have thrown the wrong food drink off the bill, but I would avoid this place."

"Last night, our party of five, including my 4-year-old daughter, dined at Mexican Loco. The restaurant's decor is vibrant and colorful, which we absolutely loved. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our daughter was entertained, bringing her coloring materials and engaging her in conversation. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of Mexican dishes at reasonable prices. The portion sizes for the main meals were generous, ensuring great value for money. The children's menu also had a diverse selection of options, going beyond the usual chicken nuggets or fish fingers to cater to more adventurous young eaters. We had a great experience and will definitely be returning to this restaurant, which we highly recommend."

"We Went to the new “sports bar”to play pool and have a game of darts….. you’d expect them to have new Dartboards as it’s just reopened after a refurb and level(ish) pool tables etc but nope! Old battered dartboard, pool table was one sided, beer was flat….also 2 others in the pub. So very empty for a Saturday afternoon, maybe everyone else had the same experience! Can’t see it being open long!"

"have eaten here in the past and decided because it is busy getting a take delivered. have already tried twice in case of separate locations and receive notifications that the order of the restaurant was accepted with and expected time for delivery etc. diabetikum I then have taken my insulin in preparation to only realize that the time for delivery has gone, check the app that has been ordered without declaration and no notification canceled. this is not only frustrating and annoying, but dangerous for people in my situation, as I have them to quickly sort food that is not necessary to combat a potential diabetic hypo due to the insulin that affect without food preventing it. Of course, this is very unprofessional and I will not use or recommend this restaurant again. very disappointed."

"We stopped by for breakfast at this restaurant while staying at the nearby campsite. The service was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast, although we found it unusual to be served bread and butter instead of toast with the full English. The prices were reasonable compared to other places. We appreciated how dog-friendly the restaurant was, even though we no longer have a dog. They also had an outdoor hut serving drinks and ice creams with a seating area, although unfortunately it was raining heavily on the day we visited."

"Saw the reviews online and decided to give it a go, usually use super market restaurants, but they have gone down hill lately, especially morrisons , who used to be very good. Dan saw me approaching and greeted me and showed me to a table. As soon as I settled, the first thing he asked was my choice of drink. Within a minute, a beautiful big china teapot was placed on the table, and Dan went to cook a marvellous breakfast. It was such a nice change to be able to have a nice cup of tea while waiting for the meal( which only took a few minutes) He also put a plate of the best toast I think I have ever had on the table. Four cups of tea 9Oroper tea) later all food gone , I was completely satisfied. Thank you Dan, will definitely be coming again."

"I am a vegetarian and I do like a paneer curry, I checked out the take away menu and the only paneer available was a sag paneer at £4.95. I looked at the other veggie dishes and the looked reasonably priced. They were either £6.95 or £7.95. I asked one of the staff if they can do me a tikka masala paneer, which they agreed. They then asked if I wanted any sides like rice and I said, just a plain naan please, which was £2.95. He then gave me a price of £13.90 for a paneer tikka masala and a plain nann, that kind of made up on the spot type price.I paid it but then sat down whilst waiting and studied the menu. I noticed that most of the meat curries were even cheaper than what I was charged. I felt like I 'd been taken advantage of and I approached the member of staff behind the bar and asked why it was so expensive. He then showed me the sit down menu and showed me the price of the paneer masala which was actually £10.95. However, a sit down meal is always more expensive at a restaurant as you are paying to eat in the establishment. He then showed me the price of the nann bread on the sit down menu and pointed out that it is £3.95. I then explained to him that I was taking food away.and that isn 't the correct price and told him that the take away menu says £2.95. He mumbled something and then reluctantly gave me £1 back. I took the curry home and was extremely disappointed. It basically looked like a bowl of tomato soup with 5 lumps of paneer cheese in it. It tasted nothing like tikka masala either, it tasted exactly like a korma which I don 't like. I was so hungry though, I reluctantly ate it. I will post a pic of my plate after I had eaten half of one of the 5 paneer cubes. Dare I say, the worst curry I 've ever had and with a shocking price!"
