"The restaurant is probably the most well located one in the city with a nice view on the marina.however we had a terrible negative experience in the evening of the 10 th of August. We reserved a table for four including my two little daughters 2 and 4 yo. As we requested a child menu to share for our girls, the waitress told us we had to pay 4,90 extra euros due to the fact their plate would be shared between them. I accepted it while telling her I found the principle stupid for little kids as in most cases kids below 4 yo never end to eat one menu. At the ended the dinner (after having given only one cup of ice cream to divide) while asking for the bill, another waitress asked us about our experience. I repeated my feeling about finding stupid to pay this extra 4,90 for sharing a meal for two young children. One of the guy in charge of the restaurant heard me and immediately turned crazy while insulting me in reaction of my comments and feedback. Telling me he had to refuse clients for the table, that I could have left if I was not happy (at 8:20 with hungry children, difficult to find another place), and as I was just telling the guy to stay calm he told me leave my place using bad French words. So my advise would be to find a restaurant where customers are not only considered as payers but are kimdkly received and well treated. I would like to add that I stayed smiling and respectful toward the guy who turned completely agressive and irrespectfull after my comments. In a nutshell, food is ok, the place is nice but customers are very badly treated with zero consideration except their money. So take your time to find a nice and welcoming restaurant in Porto Vecchio and avoid this one. Sad picture sent to the town and to Corsica as a whole. Best regards, Gilles"

"We had been to this bar three times for breakfast/brunch and twice for an aperitif/ice cream for the children and found it charming and very good. We had chatted with Emma, a waitress from Manchester, who told us she was there because she had fallen...in love with a Corsican man. Tonight, impressed by the burger our son had had yesterday, we went back for a meal. We had to wait a long long time, though the place was not busy, to place an order for food and drink. People got so fed up at other tables that they left. We hung on in hope. Another family told us that they had been told there was a fault with the computer. A french waiter tried to explain after 45 minutes and we asked for someone to speak to us in English. Emma appeared and said there had been a fault but our food was just leaving the kitchen. After another lengthy wait the food finally appeared. It was cool and disappointing. When we asked for the bill, Emma brought it very quickly. There was no hint of apology. She complained that there had been a fault it always happens when we are busy and she had lost four orders. We tried to pay by credit card, but her machine wasn 't working. Again no apology, just moaning from. Emma. As we were leaving we pased by Emma standing at the reception area. I said that I found it unbelievable that after one hour waiting for our food she had not apologised. She brushed past me calling me a female dog Tripadvisor won 't let me use the word beginning with B). I couldnt believe that the seemingly pleasant girl from our previous visits had been so rude and abusive. I went after her into the covered area where she was talking in French to a waiter. I asked to speak to the manager and was shown to where a man in a blackshirt was folding napkins. I asked to speak to the manager and he summoned Emma. I repeated my complaint about her lack of apology. She dropped to the floor and with great drama on bended knee asked in French, what more did i want, she had apologised three times. She had not. My husband came in and asked to speak to the manager. The man in the black shirt waved him dismissively aside and said caio and pushed him away. Two more waiters suddenly appeared pushing and shoving my husband. He was thrown out of the restaurant and I was pushed by the man in the black shirt who was shouting caio, I love you. Another diners were staring. What a horrible place. How misdirected we ever were to think it pleasant or buzzy. Please, don 't there!!"

"I had the beef spicy noodles. In my mind I thought- 'this place concentrates on Japanese food, surely it would be fresh and yummy!'I WAS WRONG.My dish consisted of frozen mushy peas, pot noodles, gravy, fatty beef and was swimming in onion. Absolutely disgusting. The prawn tempura was gloopy and over battered. The chicken tempura was basically chicken nuggets stuck on a plate with sticky rice.DO NOT HAVE THE COCKTAILS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I tried a strawberry daiquiri. It was sour, tart and had no ice, it was all liquid. I thought 'oh well, maybe it was a one off and I'll try a mojito instead'. I was wrong, once again. The mojito had lemons in. Who has a lemon mojito? Nobody. It was once again sour, with no fizz or sparkle. The ice had virtually melted as if it was brewing in the sun all day. May I also mention it was very small for the price we paid- €11.Perhaps they use the salt water from the harbour to make their cocktails? Would not surprise me.We waited over 30 minutes for drinks alone, 45 minutes for a menu to be placed on the table. I feel bad for our waiter writing this as he was lovely- but it doesn't make up for slow service. We will not be visiting again for the listed reasons. I conclude this review by warning trip advisor members that if they consider eating here please be aware all items on the menu (apart from the pizza) are prepared in the kitchen- which is disgusting placed next to the toilet. We watched the fresh food be carried from the kitchen, passed the toilets along one main hallway. Not nice."

"Please read this incredible review to the end! I must say in advance that we have known the Corsicans so far without reservation as very cosmopolitan, helpful and sympathetic hosts, but the visit to this restaurant has so far exceeded anything we have experienced around...the world. Furthermore, I should mention that we usually eat vegan, but on vacation we also make exceptions and so especially on Corsica often eat vegetarian because vegan is almost impossible. So, assuming that we could eat a vegan pizza (just the vegetarian version without mozarella.. we reserved a table for four at the Palm Beach. After minutes waiting for the menu and another minutes to take the order, the waitress told us after returning from the kitchen that there was no pizza today. So short-term rescheduling and change to spaghetti with tomato sauce for the children and linguine with truffles for the adults (as a vegetarian compromise), whereby we pointed out to the waitress again that we are vegans and would need only a simple tomato sauce for the children. She reassured the kitchen again, so we changed the order accordingly. A salad plate was ordered as an appetizer. After another minutes, the main course arrived: Spaghetti Bolognese with meat and the linguine. The salad plate came after the main course. When we asked the head waiter, we were told that due to the high number of guests, cooking a pure tomato sauce was not possible. He then took our plates from the table and told us rather unkindly that we could otherwise visit the neighboring restaurants, where, by the way, we had already eaten several times without any problems, or go to the kitchen to cook the sauce ourselves. To keep our cool, we accepted the alternative offer (spaghetti with pesto for the kids). After consumption of the lukewarm meals as well as payment of euros for the evening, which was already disastrous up to that point, we still wanted to talk to the head waiter again, and address him on his behavior towards us as paying guests: mind you, we have never had to do anything like that before. Since after consultation of the head waiter with the patron neither an apology nor a small reparation in the sense of a coffee let alone a reduction of the amount came into question, we left the restaurant without further discussion. On the way to the exit, however, the patron pursued us and threatened several times to knock out my teeth, screaming in front of all the guests, because we should pay our bill. He had to be actively stopped from using violence by his staff. Repeatedly I stressed that we had already paid our bill! Also on the parking lot we were stopped again that the police was on the way. After this time my wife and I yelled that we had already paid, we were able to leave. Such impudence and contempt for the guests we have never experienced!"
