"Looking at the other reviews on here I almost wonder if I ordered from the same place..but I did! Can only speak from our own experience but the food we received was **** awful. Jalfrezi cold (sure you can warm it up) sauce watery no substance meat looked old nothing like a traditional jalfrezi meal. My wifes chicken korma looked a strange shade of green and tasted disgusting. Rice sloppy and naan bread rock hard. All food went in the bin and thats £28 down the pan. Very poor will not return!"

"bhuti is an excellent little vegan caffe at the bottom of richmond hill. it is part of a health center (there are yoga courses, etc. and treatments go) so that the food and drinks are very much health-based. they will not get junk food here quickly, but they will get tasty healthy eating. eating is vegan, although they sell honey and bee pollen to take away, this is the only non-vegan product and it is not in the food to take only for non-vegans home. they have a hot dish that varies every day, plus vegan cakes (the cookies are excellent) and lunches like avocado on toast and freshly prepared suppening. everything I had was delicious and my body feels better for eating something healthy instead of processed eating. there are many hot drinks with a selection of mandel, cocos or heel milk. they can have coffee, crimped or something for their health like a matcha bat or even a coal platter! the caffe is beautiful and quiet and relaxing, the antithesis of the loud cafe chains. there are free internet usage and powerpoint so a nice place to sit and use them to read their laptop or laptop. the staff is very friendly and polite. Whenever I have been here, I have always been satisfied with my experience, and have left the feeling relaxed and healthy inside. I couldn't find a mistake with this place. updated by previous review on 2019-08-14"

"A wonderful local cafe and deli. Tables inside and out. As well as consistently delicious breakfast, lunch options, and cake, the deli stocks a broad range of interesting and high quality wine, cheese, vegetable, bread, oils , teas and other larder items that make great last minute gifts. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. My only criticism is that their coffee is pretty dreadful. It’s a shame, as this often steers me away. Recommend they get on top of their coffee game to earn their rightful place as top in their class in Richmond."

"It was good to start the New Year in the cosy renovated Victorian pub that is the King’s Head in the sleepy suburb of Teddington. It is part of the olde English gastropub empire of Raymond Blanc whose menus have long since fused no doubt on the grounds of economy and efficiency either those at his brasseries. There was a 50% discount on mains for the whole of January which felt like a belated Christmas present of the likes of smoked pork ribeye, beef burger on a brioche bun preceded by a cheese soufflé (so popular are these that barely a table missed at least one order) or an equally retro prawn and crayfish cocktail. A treat to bring in the New Year."

"Beginning to get really frustrated with this old favorite. The last few times l've visited l've been really disappointed. It's become a place to hold kids parties and this is only putting off loyal customers from dining. Tonight my partner and arrived at 6:30 hoping to get a table, thankfully we did but not without being told we'd have to give it up by 7:30 to accommodate another party. The only other table occupied in the restaurant was that of a kids party taking up around 20 seats. The noise in there was unbearable. Kids screeching and shouting at one another across the table. l asked the lady serving us if she could switch off the music playing from the speaker above my head to which she just shook her head and waved her hands before leaving the table. The music was not turned off. My partner and I didn't even finish our food we couldn't bear to sit in there any longer. Really not happy with our recent experiences. Something needs to change. You must limit these kids parties, you're driving loyal custom"

"We tried Monaf's based on the decent reviews compared to other similar restaurants in the vicinity. Ordered via Just Eat and was notified our food was ready to collect only 20 minutes after ordering great! Not so great when the chicken dish is undercooked and pink inedible. I liked that you can order small portions of various dishes so we chose a few veggie options but unfortunately felt they all lacked flavour. We will not be ordering again."

"Tiffany is absolutely amazing. Even with everything going on, she still makes a pub environment feel safe and enjoyable. It is so nice to see someone take so much pride in what they do to keep a business going. There is not a bad word i could say about this pub. Everything is clean and tidy, even prior to COVID, it has always been the way here with her running it. For the food, what can i say.... i have never had a bad meal here, Friday night, cant beat the nachos, Sunday, i cant say i have ever had a better roast in a pub/restaurant. As for the AJ pies, if you haven’t had one, you NEED to try one. All in all, i would highly recommend this pub, wether it is for food or drink. All staff are so friendly and welcoming, but Tiffany is by far is the best manager of a pub i have come across and there is never a dull moment being here."

"We had dinner here Christmas and the staff (and food) were wonderful. Lisa kept up with us in communication and led to the big day. The staff was friendly (they gave up their Christmas day to accommodate us, so we were ever so grateful) and the food was absolutely fantastic, which is why we chose the Hare and Hound. Also a great thanks to the blonde lady on the pass that supplies our food. exceeded all expectations and we will be back in the new year."

"We have been to Corto before and the food has always been great and the service friendly. However, I would advise against going on a busy Saturday. My husband and I visited today and got there at 2pm. The rugby was on at Twickenham so the whole street was very busy. We were told that it would take five or so minutes to get a table and be served and we were fine with that, particularly as it was a busy day. After sitting down we had to get our own menus and then call the waiter after 20 mins of waiting. We ordered a water and a beer (in addition to food) but were given a beer and a coke. Food did not arrive and at 3pm I asked if we were still getting it. 18 mins later when our order was given to a table that arrived at least 40 mins after us, we got up to pay for the beer and leave. The waiter had no clue what had happened and someone inside eventually said sorry and gave us the beer on the house. This place always has good food but they can't cope with a busy weekend. This is not the first time service has been slow the last time it was also a sunny Saturday (but not a rugby day). I fully appreciate it will take time to be served and for food to be prepared when it is busy, especially on a rugby day. However, what I cannot understand is 1) why one couple that arrived after us received their food, ate it and paid for it before we'd received ours 2) when our food finally came it was given to a table that arrived 40 mins after us and 3) why the place could not manage customer expectations. If you're busy then tell customers that they should not expect to receive food within an hour, or get their order taken within 15 mins. Manage expectations! Its not difficult and then at least customers know perhaps its not a good time to eat at Corto."

"Go to Google for the real reviews on this poor place. £60 for a god awful afternoon tea that includes stale sandwiches and cheap filing. Absolutely nothing like the advertised material which has brioche rolles, beaguttes. This was a really poor tea. No tarts, éclairs, compote..just some cheap tiny cakes. The restaurant service is as bad as it gets. Plenty of staff but it's like managed by donkeys. How did this take 30 min to come out? I literally could've gone to the local supermarket and bought the ingredients, made it within that time and it wouldve been much higher quality. How they can misadvertise and think close to £60 for an afternoon tea of this quality to beyond embarrassing. It was seriously close to school dinner. Have a look at the photo."

"Take me right back to those days of old Where I cared little much about what I was told When I was young, free and single, fearless and true Where I gazed upon the river, as the boats sailed through High on that hill, with that view so rare Painted by Turner, for millions to share To the pub of my choice, in the the midday sun Serving this town since seventeen forty one Wonderful service and a welcome so sweet To table number one, for my lunchtime treat Atlantic Cod, battered, with chips A pint of Guinness and an assortment of dips Nothing had changed, I was eighteen again Memories returned aboard the melancholy train So happy to be home, I almost shed a tear For The Roebuck is a place I will always hold 'Deer '"

"I looked up ‘the best cafe in Teddington’ and I was disappointed. At £3.60 a latte this is above average pricing, milk was way too hot for a latte, coffee was ok and the service was disinterested. Will try second best next time. Sorry, 3stars from me."

"a bit out of the way, but that was delicious. everyone was surprised that we had booked here to eat before the QUINS game, but when they got the meal, they all said they could see why and would come back. the service was very efficient and the meal was super fast. in the main there were 4 tvs with sport and the atmosphere was friendly and lively. that was right up there with the cabbage patch and the aal cake."

"I came here for lunch approximately three weeks ago. I ordered Mediterranean Quiche with salad and a milkshake. No frills attached – you get what you order. Possibly, the quiche wasn't made on the premises, nor the alluring pastries, but my dish wasn't soggy and suited me fine. This is not fine-dining, but meals are very reasonably priced, substantial, and I like the casual, friendly vibe. People sit outside in the sunshine with their pets, staff are attentive, and there is no sense that you will be rushed to finish your meal – I waited for 40 mins for my brother to arrive. The lasagne in the chill-cabinet looked very good but too large a portion for me. Veggie dishes also looked tantalising – eggplant bake, lots of different salads. For a budget lunch, you really couldn't ask for more."

"I was on a journey to Heathrow and decided to find a place that served avocado on sourdough toast. Spotted Cafe Toscana and bingo they served meshed avocado on ciabatta with poached eggs on it. It was so delicious. If you are near Teddington a place to check out. Nata and Cannoli are available too. "I've eaten here 10 times or more. I spent three years working in Bangkok and have good Thai friends so I am relatively clear on what I want from a Thai restaurant. I don't think and Thai restaurant in London can be 100% authentic but this is close. It is run by a charming Thai family and they do all of the favourites very well. Som Tam is spicy and mainly green papaya which is one of my tells for a good restaurant. Poor restaurants or anglicised ones serve it bland, with cabbage and carrot or not at all. I don't think I have had a bad dish here. The only issue can be that upstairs is better ambience but v small. However, downstairs is fine. And they close for quite long holidays."

"Visited The Tap Tavern recently because friend B used to go there in his misspent youth in the 70s and wanted to see his old stamping ground. It was mid-afternoon and completely empty (so we were pleased it was open and serving), so one could hardly say there was any atmosphere. Very nice beer, a generous bowl of mixed nuts, and pleasant serving staff. Apparently the place had changed over the intervening half century (including its name) but the perilous ascent up rickety wooden stair to the loos I guess has not changed! Be careful if you're infirm! Otherwise it's a place I'd happily recommend."

"Our group of 5 visited Cafe Venice for the first time after attending an England rugby match at Twickenham Stadium. It's a 20-minute walk from there, so not much different than a venue in Twickenham town center. I made a telephone booking about 10 days before our visit and clarified that on rugby days, they offer a restricted menu at lunchtime but a full menu in the evenings. Note that there is a good specials menu in addition to the extensive menu on the website. We had booked for 6:30 pm, and the restaurant was busy with many other customers who had also been to the rugby match. We received a warm welcome, and the service throughout was friendly and efficient. For starters, we had dough balls, mushrooms, mussels, calamari, and whitebait. For mains, we had carbonara, calzone, and sea bass fillets, all served with salad or chips. The portions were generous and very tasty, and the food and wine were reasonably priced. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Cafe Venice and will definitely be returning."

"Monday 27th March. Wanted a nice meal before the theatre and Chose Cote Brasserie. On entering the welcome was kirt and shown to the table. We sat reading menu for some time , had decided and still waited for any interaction from staff. As time was ebbing away I called a member of staff and ordered both drinks and our meal. Drinks came and eventually the starters. Mushrooms on soggy toast. We ate and waited. Other diners who roughly ordered the same time as us were into their mains by this time. We waited until others had finished before I called a member of staff to explain why our food was taking so long, he promptly arrived with our food with no explanation just 2 plates of overcooked and very dry French cottage pie. Our drinks were at this time empty, no staff returned to ask if we wanted more or importantly was everything ok and would we like and condiments. We were loathed to complain as this would have upset our ongoing engagement, but couldn't help noticing staff were asking other diners if they wanted more drinks, and the couple next to us were asked if everything was ok could they leave a review. The staff knew their errors but moreso they knew the food was substandard which is why they avoided us. We grabbed a flying member of staff, ordered the bill paid and left. Dreadful experience."
