"Absolutely terrible experience! We decided to go to millies for my mums birthday a table of 10 was booked when we arrived we was shown to our table that was in the corner with another table right bang next to us so couldn't even sit down one side of the table without being squashed! we asked to change our table and we ended up having to move tables around to be able to sit better! We had eventually settled down and had all decided what we was going to order to then be told that 7/10 of our meals that we had decided to order was not available! So we then all had to decide again we ended up getting the seafood platter for 1 each and I am absolutely disgusted in the presentation and the food you got served with it it was absolutely vile we had to wait over an hour for our food the whole experience was terrible! The waiter we had was very apologetic and very helpful this was the only positive out come of this visit definitely will not be returning after this experience also leaving the place absolutely STINKING of fried food is another bad thing about this place"

"This delightful station cafe is a fantastic surprise as it is at the other end of the spectrum from the usual chains found at railway station. The decor is quietly stylish , the seats are comfortable and the wall art is local and lovely! We visited as we waited for our train home and spotted local ice cream on sale so as a farewell treat, ordered vanilla scoops and espressos then made delicious affogattos. Staff were charming, polite and took our Scottish money with good grace. An all round terrific end to our stay in wonderful Margate."

"Read the reviews here about the owner- spot on- a one off. Always chatting and cracking jokes with every one. Got here early and the restaurant soon filled up. The owner seemed to be front of house and also running into the kitchen for...a few minutes and the service was a bit hit and miss. Waited an hour for my food- there were obviously problems some where. When I eventually got my order it was very good- veg pathia- pilau rice and a puri naan- the naans were off the menu because the owner's wife- who is the chef- had been off or a day and they were always made freshly. Food was obviously freshly made- so different from many places- although my pathia was a tad too sweet for my taste- just a personal prefernce. All in all a very good restaurant where the food is freshly cooked- just wished the service had been quciker."

"My mother loved Riley's so much that when she passed away, we knew she would have wanted her wake to be held there. Despite it being an unusual request, the staff at Riley's were amazing. They are a beloved part of the Ramsgate community and knew my mother and her friends well. It was heartwarming to collaborate with people who genuinely cared for my mother and were saddened by her passing. They offered to close the cafe for the afternoon at a very reasonable price and provided a variety of delicious food, including options for those with dietary restrictions. They catered to all our needs and even offered helpful suggestions for the occasion. They set up a beautiful space for flowers, pictures, and a remembrance book, and even paid tribute to my mother in their own way. The atmosphere they created allowed friends and family to come together and honor my mother's memory. From the music to the attentive staff, Riley's did an exceptional job. If you're looking for amazing cake, food, and drinks, as well as a friendly and welcoming environment, Riley's is the place to be."

"Went in on Friday for a takeaway to eat on the beach, as we had used this chip shop on previous visits to Broadstairs and liked it. Seems to have changed hands since then, so was concerned it might not be up to scratch. Order taken at door, told it would be 8-9 minute wait, so I went for a walk, Needn't have worried. When I got back it was almost ready. Fish, chips delicious and fresh. Curry sauce great too. Expensive, but fish and chips is no longer a cheap meal."

"I’ve visited twice now to this coffee house and I’ve sat next to the counter where they prepare the food. I have never seen a place where they are so hygienic preparing the food wearing gloves and NOT handling any other item. Maybe just be one up on other restaurants and spray your tables and wipe with kitchen tissue not the same old cloth."

"Called in on the offchance today. My wife has dairy and egg allergies so finding suitable places to get dairy free sorbets is difficult. The lady who served us was really helpful, explaining which sorbets my wife could have. Very knowledgeable about allergens, which is...not always the case. The raspberry sorbet was lovely, as was the mint choc chip ice cream that I had. Well worth a visit."

"My friend and I went for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our food between courses, which was great because we ended up having 3 courses! The food was delicious, well-cooked with a great selection of fresh vegetables. We started with cheese and leek croquettes, which came with a spicy dip, and were delicious! For our main course, we had roast beef. My friend had it rare and I wanted mine cooked a little more, which they did without any issues - very pleased about that. The roast beef was served with a huge Yorkshire pudding, tasty roast potatoes, 3 fresh vegetables, and a delicious gravy. For dessert, I had the salted caramel tart which had the thinnest pastry and was rich and delicious. My friend had the pecan tart, which looked lovely and she said tasted as good as it looked. We didn't feel rushed at all, which was lovely. They also had another section of the restaurant where you could dine with your dog, which was a great idea. I would highly recommend this place for a roast or a snack with a relaxing atmosphere."

"Decided to visit this chip shop and saw advertised in the window “ Mini fish and Chips for £5 ! So I ordered 2 portions pointing out the advert to the person behind the counter . He replied that it would take 10 minutes ,to which I replied that’s fine and took a seat . When the food was ready I was beckoned over and was shocked and taken aback to be asked for …… £13 And not the expected £10 ! I pointed this discrepancy out but the lad behind the counter wasn’t interested and just said “ That’s the price …. And it’s wrapped up now ! “ I politely stood my ground and said that the price was wrong and pointed to the ad in the window ,at which point the owner intervened and got stroppy with me ,speaking partly in English and partly in another language . He said that £13 was the right price and it’s going up again next week ! I replied that whilst I know the price of things is going up , that’s not the price advertised in the window . He at this point still in a temper came round from behind the counter and said he was changing the price in the window …NOW ! I said that doesn’t help me in this current situation . At this point I reluctantly paid the £13 and took the food home . The chips were ok but the fish wasn’t cod but a cheaper fish , pollack ! On reflection I’m upset and disappointed to be treated like this and can’t believe that a village fish and chip shop dependant in its village community should treat a member of its village community so badly . Some serious consideration needs to be given to the level of customer service and satisfaction in this establishment . If I was the owner last night the very least that I would have done was to apologise for the wrong price , let me have it for £5 each and say the price from now on is £6.50 each ,but the owner didn’t do that and just threw a strop and not giving a monkeys about customer satisfaction . It goes without saying that I won’t rushing back there again anytime soon but will use The Minnis fish and Chips in nearby Birchington where I know what the price is and I don’t get cheap pollack served up as cod !"

"I almost don't want to recommend this cute cafe I'd like it to remain slightly undiscovered so there is always a table for me and my friends but it deserves a good review! It's a great find at the quieter end of Broadstairs beach, just a few tables at the edge of the sea, wonderful bacon and sausage sandwiches, and for us, a great way to start a Sunday morning when we visit Broadstairs.. You sit right next to the beach or on the beach if the few tables are busy , take in the sea air, just watch the quiet world. Busy bank holidays .... well, still as cute, but busy ! and a long wait for food, The staff are polite and friendly and very apologetic if you do have to wait a bit. Not sure if this is open all year round or just seasonal. Think we've been August, September and April, May only,"

"Took my wife and eldest Granddaughter for a Sunday Carvery at Stonelees. It was first class! We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table to peruse the 3 course menu. We decided against a starter to ensure we had room for dessert! The carvery had a choice of Roast Beef, Turkey, Gammon, (or all 3! served with stuffing balls, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and red wine gravy. Vegetables were served at the table. Everything was cooked to perfection, piping hot and delicious! The desserts we chose were amazing, prepared with TLC! The service by the waitresses was faultless, thank you. It was 'refreshing ' to have water on the table and additional drinks could also be purchased. It was a nice touch for the chef to come and have a chat with us at our table. It also gave us to opportunity to thank him and his team for a tasty lunch. Without hesitation, we 'll be back. But as for today, it 's battling the winds with 9 holes on the Executive Course!"

"Meal Type: Dinner Price per Person: £20–30 Food Rating: 4/5 Service Rating: 4/5 Atmosphere Rating: 3/5 I highly recommend trying the Minster Special Mixed Kebab, Hummus, Lamb Ribs, Greek Salad, Hot Mixed Meze, Mixed Grill, and Chicken Shish. The food was quite impressive, with a solid 4-star rating, and the service was equally commendable. The atmosphere, while decent, could use a little improvement, earning a 3-star rating overall. Enjoy your visit!"

"The evening started with a friendly, warm welcome. We were struggling to find a decent restaurant in the area and were recommended the Corner House. We had simple requirements, firstly when we book a table we expect it to be a table for the evening, there is no quality in dining in an establishment with two sittings. We never felt rushed. Secondly I like the service and the quality of foods to appear effortless, which it did. Clearly a tremendous amount of effort went into every detail from the foods, side salad, homemade sauces and deserts. Attention to detail was obvious and the service was perfect, just the correct amount of contact from the enthusiastic staff without being intrusive or overbearing. Thirdly I rate a restaurant on whether or not I could replicate the meal better, similarly or not at all. On this occasion my extra blue rib eye was one of the finest steaks I’ve ever eaten and I grew up in French fine dining. The homemade bread platter, starter, mains, deserts, coffee were all perfect. The visit was mid week and the restaurant was fairly busy. The atmosphere, ambience and surroundings enhanced a great meal. Most restaurants in the area (apart from The Marquis in Alkham Valley) are very mediocre, tedious, churning out the latest fads and boring, this wasn’t. We will definitely visit again, the staff were attentive, kind and warm."

"Just moved to the area so used this chinese takeaway for the first time today. Phoned up to order and was told could collect in minutes. Food was hot and tasty and the service impeccable. Had a spicy chicken curry, chow mein, prawn toast...and chicken balls, all great. Will definitely use again. Thank you, Sean."

"Although fairly local, I had never visited this delightful bakery before. The owners are warm, lovely and friendly. The interior is unique and a real treat, especially for little ones I expect. I ordered a nice take away coffee and two filled rolls, which were so fresh, soft and very generously filled with high quality ingredients. I thought the price was incredibly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the products. The cakes looked amazing and the way all the items were arranged, was exquisite. I am glad I finally visited ‘Naughty But Nice’ and highly recommend it. I wish them all the very best as they deserve great success."

"We popped in for a cup of tea and decided to stay for Sunday Lunch. We are really happy we did, the food was lovely. We both had a Sunday Roast Beef Lunch, which was served piping hot, with plenty of meat, gravy and vegetables, my husband also had a dessert Apple Crumble with Custard which was also very good. It has been a few years since we last dined here, the Hotel Restaurant has now been completely refurbished to a very good standard The Restaurant was spotlessly clean, also the toilets are now updated, very clean and very much improved since our last visit. On arrival we had a friendly greeting from Grahame who was working in the San Clu Reception. Zoe was our waitress, she was a breath of fresh air, cheerful, friendly, happy to help, she answered all our questions re our food orders, and she even sang a little song as she disappeared into the kitchen. After todays visit we would be happy to recommend the San Clu Restaurant to our friends family, we fully intend to return in the near future."

"My first experience of the relaunched Wyatt and Jones main restaurant on Friday was amazing. Jan and his team have remade the old restaurant into a smaller but far more intimate space embracing the concept lots of smaller sharing plates rather than the usual 3 course meal template. And what fantastic food it is too. I won’t go into dishes in detail but it’s enough to say my wife and I devoured a whole host of unique and delicious plates, all using the best ingredients. The drinks too were excellent and simple and we sat at the extremely comfortable bar to eat and were made very welcome by Jan, his family and staff. The refurbished restaurant has somehow a ‘speakeasy’ feel with darker more sumptuous decor but with those amazing picture windows juxtaposed to give you dramatic views of the bay and sea. And, to top it all off, it’s nowhere near as expensive as it could be. All in all, a most excellent experience which we can not recommend highly enough. It was so good that we went back for Sunday lunch enjoying their take on a traditional roast which was equally delicious. Well done to Jan, Emily, Henry and team. Visiting Wyatt and Jones feels like having dinner at a friends house and we can’t wait to go back again soon."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."
