"Nos lo recomendó un amigo y fue todo un éxito. Fuimos por sus maravillosos caracoles, la gamba de Garrucha y la morcilla y no nos equivocamos, todo excelente. Además de su pan recién horneado con ali olí. El dueño nos recomendó algo típico, el puchero y aunque nos pareció mucha comida, aceptamos. Sin embargo, para 2, al terminar con las 3 entradas, se acercó y nos preguntó si lo queríamos o no sin problema. Le dijimos que ya estábamos llenos las raciones son grandes) y no nos lo sirvió, un detalle por su parte. Volveremos si regresamos a Almería. Un sitio excepcional!!"

"Ya habíamos estado otras veces para comer los platos de la carta, pero esta vez nos decidimos a probar uno de los arroces de su carta. La verdad es que acertamos: el arroz con secreto y setas estaba realmente bueno, de los mejores arroces que hemos comido por la zona en los últimos tiempos. Repetiremos algún otro arroz en las próximas veces."

"Went here for lunch today (support local businesses etc). Ordered a salad to start followed by pasta. The rather 'in your face ' waiter asked if we would like to try some calamari with our starter. We refused, saying we only wanted a light lunch. He insisted 'it is only small and very good ' so we said we would try some. Well it was nothing special, quite rubbery in fact, the pasta was also disappointing. We asked for coffee and the bill, that 's when we saw we has been charged 21 € for the calamari!! When I complained the waiter said it 's that price because it is fresh!! Will never eat there again."

"Okay, so this is one of those restaurants without a view. View is of the car park and street. It can't live off the view of the beach or anything scenic. It also doesn't have a great ambiance with outside patio, limited indoor seating in a usually noisy environment with music loud enough to be heard outside. It also has several immediate vicinity competitors. So why four stars?? Pretty simply, basic food, well prepared, competitively priced in a local family run restaurant where the family is on site and makes every effort to make you happy and feel welcome. It does well because it does food well and isn't marking it up because of the view. You're paying for good food pleasantly served. A little broader menu in the peak season would be good, the off season menu is a little better but slows the kitchen down. Summer menu is faster to prepare. Popular with locals."

"Used to love this place. But on last visit they were quite busy. The waiting staff were running around like headless chicken's. They just couldn't cope. But to be honest there were 3 serves and that should have been plenty. My husband and I orded food. His came but mine didn't I waited 10 minutes before I asked where my food was. A few minutes later my food arrived cold. I sent it back. By this time my husband had finished his meal and I was furious. My allegedly warmed food duly arrived at which point I was no longer hungry didn't want to eat alone and was quite upset so I sent it back and we left after paying for 1 meal! Dreadful service."

"Hace un año que estuvimos veraneando 15 días, y creo que desayunamos todos los días pan con jamón y tomate “muy bueno”. Las cervezas con la tabla de jamón sobre la hora de comer entraron muy bien, y las copas por la noche muy buenas. El personal muy atento y agradable. Uno no necesita tampoco grandes lujos para estar a gusto en un lugar si te hacen sentirte cómodo Por otro lado, me alegro de la ampliación del negocio y esperamos poder ir pronto para volver a desayunar ese jamón y de paso probar lo nuevo. "Can't say I'd recommend it after this first experience. Will try again but €10 for small bowl of iceberg lettuce and a few pieces of breaded grilled chicken constitute Chicken Ceasar salad. They didn't have my first two menu choices so the salad was a compromise. They did do a nice Asiatico coffee though. Too many smokers on the covered patio to enjoy the food. Face mask was helpful for the smoke. Pet friendly was a plus. Will give it another try but prefer some of the nearby establishments for food."

"El mejor restaurante de la zona de Vera-Playa por la relación calidad/precio. El personal es muy amable y simpático. Si no sabes qué pedir, deja que te recomienden. Las carnes a la piedra son espectaculares. Los mejillones están todos muy buenos, aunque nuestros favoritos son con mostaza y bacon. Pero con vino blanco también son increíbles. De postre, esta vez cogimos unos servifríos de dulce de leche y limón, pero volveremos para la muerte por chocolate. Muy muy recomendable"

"Saw a post about a Wednesday steak deal and had never been to this bar for a meal. Location : Nice spacious bar with plenty of outside and inside seating. Food: Steak Deal was Wednesday night treat at Frankiesbar Veraplaya. 2 Fillet steaks, hand cut chips and peas (or salad) for €12. That's €6 a meal! At Frankies every Wednesday, fantastic meal. Steak was cooked to perfection and a good size too with salads and chips. Fantastic meal. Service: Excellent service with quick delivery of drinks and food. Value for money, hard to believe you can get this fantastic deal at €6 a meal. Well worth a visit, you wont be disappointed, best to book early as bar was packed out."

"Buen ambiente familiar. Experiencia muy buena, pedimos el menú del día que incluye ensalada, primer plato, segundo plato y postre o café. Pedimos dos menús: La ensalada de tomate con el picadillo, para chuparse los dedos, muy buena 1er plato: Gazpacho. BUENÍSIMO, lo sirven con cebolla y pimientos picados y patatas fritas. Nunca lo habia probado así y me encantó, estaba riquísimo. Pasta a la carbonara. Estupenda! 2o plato: Patatas con huevo y pimientos de padrón. Buenísimos Rabas. Las rabas estaban buenísimas. Si las patatas que le acompañaban no hubiesen sido congeladas, un plato de 10! No tenían postres caseros pero si una amplia variedad de elecciones (contesa, flan, sandía, melón,... . La atención fue estupenda! Buen trato y rapidez entre plato y plato. La comida casera y la atención magnífica, por lo que si pasas por aquí te recomiendo hacer parada. La calidad precio, genial. El precio del menú entre semana fue de 12.50 euros."

"We have just visited this lovely restaurant and will return before a return to the UK. A one woman show of care, service and quality of food tonight. This lovely lady was waitress, cook, cashier...everything! She worked tremendously hard with humour) to give the customer the quality of food they ordered. Very, very nice.
