"I put one star because zero stars are not available, we ask to take chicken instead of beef, to which we are told no problem. The dishes are not good and the manager tells us it is impossible to change while sighing. I ended up with a full plate and the surprise of having no gesture or apology from the manager! I am a trader and I find this unacceptable. I will no longer measure my feet and others will follow."

"The brunch was incredible, all you can eat for big eaters, it’s perfect! Perfect quality of food, Italian type, tasty as we like. The waiter Filip has become a friend over time, he ensures incredible quality of service with perfect proximity to the customer. "We had lunch at KJU today, and once again we were delighted with the experience. The service was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive. The presentation of the dishes was worthy of a work of art, and each bite was a delight for the taste buds. There is no doubt, the quality of the food and consistency in excellence are the hallmarks of this establishment. Although the restaurant can become quite noisy when the room is full, this does not detract from the enjoyment of our visits. It's always a pleasure to come back and we look forward to our next meal here. Another positive was that there was an option for children, which was greatly appreciated"

"It was unexpected great restaurant. The service is perfect, the food is excellent. We tried fish and it was amazingly tasty. The side dishes as well and the starters mixed salad and foie gras. The décoration of the dishes is also amazing. I did thankful the chef personally because I did not meet this quality for a long long time. I am gonna come today again to try meet dishes. Very quiet place yes, not on the cost of the lake, a bit up in the town but for me the quality of food is much more important!! I recommend this restaurant 100"

"It was almost chance that brought me here (Smartbox to be transparent) but what an excellent surprise. “Small” old brasserie style establishment. Certainly such a small menu but let's be clear, it's the fondue that is consumed the most. And by far. Was the fondue good? Yes Just like the starter and dessert. But what makes this establishment so special? The musical show when a fondue is brought to the table. Believe me, it has a little effect and brings a good atmosphere. In addition to that, I particularly appreciated the bottle of wine bearing the image of the establishment and I loved the bread rack. To discover without hesitation"

"Nice, cozy place for a winter's day. I was shocked at my order of rouleau de printemps because there were a LOT of them. I ate them all though and very happily. My fries though meh. They were thin like McDo's fries. No restaurant should serve those thin McDo fries because we've been eating them since we were kids and they are nothing special anymore (I'm 67 so believe me, I've eaten thousands of those damn things). Get thicker fries. Otherwise, service was great and I loved the place."

"The expectations were very high, given the glowing reviews. However we were quite disappointed. The service was very slow it took 30 minutes before we were able to order). For a starter, main and dessert, it took a total of 3.5 hours. The food is classic, very delicately flavored in fact some food did not taste much). There was a new waiter, so we give that credit, but he was not trained at all. There was an ambiance of panic and stress in the air. Our first waiter left us in the middle of his chat and so did the host. We had a lot to talk about so we did not mind the wait that much. Many details are disappointing: the madeleine with the coffee was dry and not fresh. The amuse-gueule at the start was some dice of tomato bread, which was also dry. There were very few non alcoholic drink options. I had made a reservation mentioning one of us is vegetarian and that it was also his birthday, but there was no mention about it. The confusion over the choice between bistrot style and mystery menu was frankly annoying. The small talk with the host was awkward and borderline dismissive. There is zero creativity in the food. I am surprised about the Michelin star."

"Food tastes really good, cosy restaurant, well decorated place as well. From the paintings on the wall to the naps on the table, everything is well thought to make you feel like you are eating the food in the country from which it comes from. A bit expensive though. You can expect 35 to 40 chf per person if you eat well."

"Very friendly service, pleasant neighborhood brasserie atmosphere. The venison entrecote was good and the cordon bleu as well. On the other hand, disappointment. Out of 3 portions of fries, we weren't able to find a crispy fry. The beef tartare was really chopped too fine, giving the impression of mashed meat which was not very pleasant. The Mediterranean burger filled with hummus is surprising when it is not announced on the menu. My opinion is that you should favor brasserie dishes, it's a safe bet and you won't be disappointed!"

"The food was nothing particularly special however I would say it’s good value for money. My disappointing rating is due to the waitress who spilt a whole bowl of satay sauce over our fellow diner’s blouse and although profusely apologised, offered no compensation when the bill arrived. Quite frankly, if you ruin someone’s dinner experience (and blouse! the least you can offer is a discount on the bill or cover drinks as a gesture of goodwill!!!!!"

"Pizza was tasty and met my standards. I asked for a vegetarian without mozzarella and it arrived after 15 minutes. HOWEVER: Customer experience was low and pretty disappointing. We were 3, we arrived 1h before the closing time on a Saturday. Some tables were still available. We entered the pizzeria and had to wait 10 minutes before the two waiters would speak to us. After getting their attention, I spoke to one of them to ask if we could have a table. I gave my apologies for not booking in advance and he told me: at least one thing you got right! I was shocked for such a comment. l understand it was the end of his workday, maybe he was tired or frustrated but his approach ruined the enjoyment of pizza unfortunately. I will give a second opportunity to Vecchia Napoli because pizza is good and the place has a vibe but I hope Vecchia Napoli will learn from my feedback and won’t disappoint me."

"Je vais avec mon enfant de 4,5 ans et moi, sa maman à midi. Je demande au serveur combien paient les enfants pour le buffet, il me répond 10 CHF. J'hésite à prendre un buffet moi-même n'ayant pas très faim, je demande la carte mais je décide de prendre le buffet. Je me dis encore que ce sera un repas à environ 30 CHF pour nous 2.Lorsque je demande une carafe d'eau, mon enfant est diabétique je ne lui fait pas boire autre chose. La patronne dans un français très approximatif me dis c'est 2 CHF la carafe d'eau... Je lui dis oui.Au final: 15 CHF le repas de mon pti gars de 4 ans... et une carafe d'eau à moitié vide, donc 5dl d'eau du robinet 4 CHF!!!! Je lui ai dis mon mécontentement pour l'eau, mais n'ai même pas vu qu'elle m'avait taxé le menu enfant à 15CHF!!!La prochaine on ira au Mc Do!J'appelle ça juste du VOL!... donc des VOLEURS!!! D'autant plus que " minérales" sur le ticket est un mensonge, c'est de l'eau du robinet...Ils peuvent songer à augmenter leur buffet et arrêter d'arnaquer une maman et son enfant.... et cela discrédite tous les restaurants chinois du genre...Déçue!!! Dommage que le papa n'était pas là, cela se serait passé autrement..."

"We arrived by chance at this restaurant in the center of the old town of Vevey. We took the entrecôtes on the slate...the piece is just enough...3 butters seasoned differently are served with...why not put green pepper or mushroom sauces and butter instead, it's not practical at all as it is presented ..the bread is in a bag like it came from the bakery and placed on the table without explanation.. the vegetables cooked in oil which are served with it are good, the dry homemade matchstick fries.. are they of the day? and why not sort out all the little grilled pieces that we find at the bottom of the bowl.. Really nothing extraordinary.. Perhaps we should have taken the chase which seemed to be much better served on the neighboring tables .."

"I would rate this restaurant zero because the waiter sarcastically told that explaining things to Desi people is a big issue....he was trying to explain the two options of veg curry but owing to his limited English wasn't able to explain and in seconds he said that's the problem with you Desi people....he was racist and rude and when we said we are leaving because of his behavior he wasn't apologetic infact he was showing his anger....very disrespectful restaurant...how can you call yourself an Indian restaurant and treat Indians like this..... It was clear that he wanted to just cater to western crowds and this is the first time I have come across such an arrogant behavior in service industry..."

"What a horrible experience , I knew this place was never that clean or drinks were never great, mouses running around.The drinks are so bad that you get automatically a headache and stomach ache after two sips.The owner doesn’t even say hello which I find so sad and miserable.The music was tragic normally people dance but it definitely did not happen.You can see this place is not the same anymore and lost quality and good clients too.Too bad !Never back !"

"Their credit card machine was not working right. They ran my card through twice saying the charge did not go through. we paid by cash. came back to US to find that both charges had gone through and we had paid 300 dollars for a mediocre dinner. my credit card company is working on disputing the charges but a lot of inconvenience. Please fix your machine to avoid problems of this kind for visitors and tourists."

"Mit durchaus gemischten Gefühlen sind wir bei Denis Martin in Vevey aufgetaucht. Das Restaurant ist teuer, die Bewertungen der wichtigen Guides sind durchschnittlich, Tendenz sinkend, manche Blogger leisten sich einen Totalverriss. So haben wir uns selbst ein Bild gemacht. Es gibt im Prinzip nur ein Menu mit unterschiedlich viel Gängen, wir haben uns für das kleinste, Emotion zu CHF 220, entschieden, würden wir wieder tun. Denis Martin liebt das Spektakel, eine Muh-Kuh auf dem Tisch, ein überlebensgroßes Portrait vom Meister im Lokal, viel Stickstoff, Kühe an Wand und Decke. Sättigungsgrad: angenehm satt, nicht überfressen, das Fehlen von Brot finden wir durchaus vernünftig. Auf dem Teller jagt eine Überraschung die andere, mutig und gekonnt, eigenständig, man muss bei Denis Martin gewesen sein. Weinpreise hoch, aber da ist er in der Spitzengastronomie nicht allein. Mit einem kleinen Apero und einer Flasche Dezaley fanden wir die Rechnung für das Gebotene durchaus in Ordnung. Die mäßigen Bewertungen können wir nicht nachvollziehen, beinahe alles verdient Höchstnoten. Der Service, allen voran die charmante Mme Martin sehr kompetent und auskunftsfreudig. Denis Martin denkt nicht an den Ruhestand, gut so, dann haben wir die Chance, noch einmal zu kommen."
