"During our last visit to Freiburg in 2016/17 the situation was still aspekt . We enjoyed a very good Café Crème outdoors at the time. In the meantime, not only the name changed, but also the operator. We did not notice this at the beginning of our visit in September 2019. Since we had the address of the location on the corner of the Bertoldstraße/Niemensstraße in Freiburg still in good memory, we parked our bicycles on the banks of the Bächle on the Bertholdstraße and set ourselves to a free table in front of the village without looking at the Wirtshausschild and ordering two cups of coffee. It was only when we looked at the menu and drink menu that we noticed that the focus on beer and spirits is now. We enjoyed our good coffee, which is quickly delivered by the nice service mentioned by Tee Peter in Freiburg as before, and decided to come back on one of the next days to test the remaining offer. This Decision was implemented on the following day. The good late summer weather once again enabled a stay in the outdoor area with appropriate milieu studies. After studying the extensive beer card, which not only offers a few regional, German and foreign beers, my wife chose a soft Paulan yeast beer (4.20 EUR for 0.5l). I ordered a Fürstenberg house beer from the barrel, the 0.3l glass for 2,90 EUR. For one of the numerous single malts and other whiskeys on offer it was too early for lunch, although the water in the mouth was already flowing. Such a glass of 10 years Ardbeg for 4,50 EUR or Ardbeg Corryvreckan for 6 EUR would not have pushed untrunken from the table edge. But as we did other things this day than milling through the huge offer of high percentage, we drew it to another day. So we escaped palate kisses, but also the inevitable cat. Since the beer was fixed by a very nice operation, as we know, hungry, we finally studied the menu. My wife ordered a flashcake Alsace (6.90 EUR), I LInseneintopf with a pair of Wienerle and homemade latency (7.50) EUR from the lunch card. Both dishes were at the same time with fatz and tasted us sucked. I had to help my wife to consume the flame cake because it was just too powerful. Until then there were nix, but also nix to mecker on the Black Cat. Only the sanitary facilities had to be tested. Unfortunately, the guest does not have to deal with barrier-free issues. With a beer and schnapps house you don't screw up your expectations of a toilet from the start. The surprise is so cheerful: instead of a refined place that shows the way to the guest with its distinctive smell, I received a well cleaned and also visually original toilet (see photos). And an electric hand dryer working miracles. According to my wife's report, the ladies' room was well shot. Gast, what do you want more? We can award five stars and remember the location."

"Last year we were here in the area of the “Hundetreffen” and I took the opportunity to visit my birthplace (or the house of my first year of life). Heuer came with the question of what my mother should give for his birthday. And the thought was born immediately to invite them to a trip to the Suggental with delicious food. The Suggental. A small, beautiful, enchanting side valley of the Elztal, which is slender and half kilometers from Waldkirch to the Black Forest. And at the end of the valley the Adamshof slips under the early forest. My parents had rented the farm a few years ago and years later there was one or other visit. And at the entrance of the Suggentales there was always a lunch in the Suggenbad or the restaurant that was connected to it. The Suggental has sulfur-rich sources and the "Suggenbad" has been one of the well-known baths in Germany for over 500 years and was mentioned only in 1481 (curative: quote Wikipedia). To what extent this is still happening today, of course, I cannot say it or have not done it. It was (and goes) that at the time, as today, about the physical well-being, but this time more food supply. It was about 3 hours to complete, so it was already pointed out and reserved for an arrival time room 12:30-13. And at 12:35 we were there. We had seen some of them in traffic, but only on the highway. From Horb it was then overlanded, because there was also a tin-like snack on the A81. We were there and it was Kaiserwetter! As it should be for such a trip. There are enough parking spaces in front of the house and the narrow road in the valley did not have to be damaged in this respect. In front of the house there are a few steps, but on the back of the garden everything can be done evenly, including the toilets. And now to my little oblivion: Unfortunately, I did not look at the sanitary area for Rollit toilets. I could imagine it in the renovated part. We were kindly greeted by the lady of the house and offered us a beautiful place in the largely paved garden area. Comfortable chairs with seat cushion and the weather of course also invited. The maps (online visible) immediately came to the table and we already made the beverage requests. Specific (0.5l to 3.30). Mineral water (0.25 to 2.10), cyclists (0.4l to 3.20) and yeast wheat (0.5l to 3.50) for the thirst driver. The latter should be followed later by a cola (0.5l to 3.30) for driving fitness reasons. It was lasy there and that, for a few years immediately past, lying in a cut, B294 was truly not perceived. We took the cards. These were, especially under the week, somewhat, but meaningfully reduced in the course of lunchtime. Women soon found trout (15,90) fried from domestic breeding with almond butter and with salt potatoes. I wasn't that real yet. The trout laughed at me, but I was kind of after yesterday, so the memory of old visits, and finally I turned to the stolen pork carving with pommes and salad (14,19). In addition to the trout, the ladies were looking for an additional salad, which ultimately came to the table like the “Buntersalatplatte” (4,90). But a greeting came from the kitchen. A kind of parfait with dried tomatoes as main aromatizer with very aromatic essence drops on the edge and a few airy baguette slices. It tasted very nice on the main dish and could do something. Then a pleasant break should be completed. And I wondered if that was really my memory. I was probably under 10 years when the last visit took place. A small trip to the net found much more old trees in the garden. That would have been good. But can you reflect memories? I saw the other side of the street. But at the age...? Then the main courts came. And I annoyed not taking the trout a little. She saw sucking. My dear wife had ordered roast potatoes instead of salt potatoes and they did not make a bad impression. In the end, the trout was praised in the highest tones and I could agree with it after a little probation. It was really great! Authentic, almost intense taste and still beautifully juicy. Nix with dry fish!. But before I died in a shame, my carving was also very good. Visually not the eye-catcher, but the flesh indescribably tender and very beautifully seasoned. This was already very close to the "melting on the tongue" (if that could be a carving). That had something from the 70s. The Pommes also very neat, but now too much. Since I don't like lukewarm pommes, a part of the originally beautifully hot and perfect pommes naturally went back later. But the salad plate! Wrath! As I love it! Very intense and very strong in the season. In addition to other salads, which were also included in their own, suitable and very good seasonings. It was a petty-bourgeois salad from the finest! So I know it from the southwest of the Republic in corresponding houses and so I love it. With two ladies on the jump there was of course an ice cream as a finish. While my dear was “warned” on a beer cup, two “children’s ice cups” with two balls were more than enough for my mother and me. These Alliongs are very good and at a high level. The vanilla shoots were ubiquitous and it even tasted very good. My mother, of course, did not come around with the lady of the house that was already at that time, but was not yet active in the service to talk about good old times, but ultimately we found the exit and were very friendly and nice. The rest of the trip was still very nice and great encounters with many “old friends” took place. Conclusion: The house of Suggenbad has definitely made us more than satisfied and is still worth a return for us! Annex: On the way home, I was then able to find out what brain-cracked actions, obviously cognitively inferior drivers PS-strong SUVs are able to reduce the excess speed on the left track, even at a distance of 100m. If I didn't want to go home, I'd just hang up. Witnesses would have been more than enough on the whole highway. Never mind. Let life and live and be glad that... no matter. Laif's not bad! "Ein Kollege empfahl mir "seinen" Griechen in Waldkirch. Nicht ohne zu bemerken das eine Reservierung angeraten wäre. Also wurde für einen Sonntag telefonisch ein Tisch für 4 Personen bestellt. Bei der Ankunft am Restaurant sahen wir gar nicht unbedingt einen Griechen auf uns zukommen, denn von außen sieht das "Weinstüble" halt so aus wie es der Name ausdrückt. Man würde denken man steht vor einem Deutschen Restaurant.Auch innen gibt es nicht die sonst übliche auffällige Deko die es sonst in Griechischen Restaurants gibt. Alles ist eher schlicht gehalten. Nur vereinzelt gibt es kleinere Dekoartikel. Dafür ist es aber von innen urgemütlich. Man fühlt sich direkt gut aufgehoben.Der freundliche Kellner geleitete uns zu unserem reservierten Tisch und schnell wird uns klar warum eine Reservierung angeraten wurde: Das Restaurant war bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt.Trotz der Menge an Gästen kümmerte sich unser Kellner in freundlicher und zuvorkommender Art um uns. Die Getränke kamen schnell. Und auch der Vorspeisenteller ließ nicht lange auf sich warten.Wir hatten den Vorspeisenteller, zu dem Brot gereicht wurde, für uns alle 4 bestellt. Absolut ausreichend und wunderbar abwechslungsreich: Tintenfisch, Peperoni, Oliven, Pasten, und, und, und. Eine wunderbare Zusammenstellung.Wir genossen ganz in Ruhe.Die Hauptgänge kamen ca.10 Minuten nach dem Abräumen der Vorspeise. Sehr schön getaktet. Wir hatten dreimal Lammhaxe in verschiedenen Variationen und einmal Gyros in Metaxasauce bestellt.Die Haxen fielen vom Fleisch und waren grandios im Geschmack. Die Beilagen dazu wunderbar abgeschmeckt.Der Gyros war nicht trocken. Die Metaxasauce nicht zu kräftig. Dazu Kroketten die nicht selbstgemacht, aber von sehr guter Qualität waren. Die Hauptgänge überzeugten.Eigentlich wollten wir auch noch ein Dessert zu uns nehmen, denn es stand hausgemachter Kuchen auf der Karte. Aber wir mussten passen. Wir waren gesättigt.Einzig einen Mokka bestellten wir noch. Und hier gibt es auch eine ganz klare Empfehlung. Das war wirklich ein Mokka.Fazit: Nur zu empfehlen! Das wird nicht mein letzter Besuch im Weinstüble gewesen sein."
