"My family and I were in Waldshut for shopping and decided to stop at this restaurant after walking around for a while looking at available places to eat. Our selection of this place was based on the fact that they had outside sitting, served pizzas and pasta (what we were after) and were located close to the exit of the main street. We were seated outside as requested, and the server was cordial when I requested another table, under the large umbrella, as it was threatening to rain. The menu is basic Italian: pizzas, pastas, various meat and fish dishes and typical desserts. The waiter came by and after listening to me struggle with German, switched his speech to English, which I thought was nice. My son and I ordered pizzas, while my wife and daughter orders tortellini. We ordered some wine, which they have available in a half carafe, which is nice. Sometimes, you want more than just a glass, but a bottle is just too much. These half carafes are great. Not the best wine, of course, but quite decent, and perfect for the occasion. The drinks were served pretty quickly, soon followed by the food. Overall, I found the quality of the food to be good. Of course, it it not the best Italian food ever, and I have had better pizzas. But it was good. I tasted my wife's tortellini and they were pretty good. They were quite big, and I prefer the smaller version, but they were tasty. We did not order dessert.Overall, I was satisfied with this restaurant. I rated as average, because that is what I believe it is. However, in some cases, average is just fine. Would I go there for a special occasion, birthday, anniversary, etc.? No. But would I eat there again if I am there for a shopping trip? Sure. The food was pretty good, decently priced compared to restaurants in Switzerland, and the service was pleasant and attentive. If you are looking for a decent place to grab a pizza or pasta, you can't go wrong there. They also have a wide selection of gelato (Italian ice cream), which we unfortunately did not take advantage of. Next time, maybe. Enjoy!"
