Osteria Ars Vivendi

We visited this nice restaurant located at the old city. The food is fresh and very good, service friendly and professional. The portions large and delicious. There is a nice sitting terace outside in a pedestrian area or you can sit at second floor with...in a warm and nice ambiance. Great choice of dishes. Higly recommendet.

I went on the August in and in Switzerland it is a national holiday (like July) so I thought it might be closed but it was not so we went there and everything was amazing.We did not have Pizza so I don't...no what it was like but the soup (tomato)was epic and o.m.g. the pasta must of been one of the best pastas I ever had.It was a good value.

Only a table left for two persons between and Therefore or not, a quick information and an even better service. Ordering what the person on next table did choose. Unfortunately a misunderstanding between me and the waiter let the wrong dish appear on...the table. But as quickly it has been changed to the right one. Just too delicious a tres di pasta! What a nice place. Located in a pedestrian only area. This Italian Restaurant is a blast. We go there often for Lunch -Dinner. We get a personal feeling with the way we are treated, particularly by the Steaward named Marco. Food is awesome. Our favorite...is Tomato Soup and Foccacia when we are not too hungry. When hungry we go for usual Pizza or pasta. We are Veggies still manage stuff to our liking. IF you go there once you will go there again

We are repeat guest at the Osteria which serves the best Food in town. Consistent high quality and in combination with the Gelatteria below an unbeatable offering when it comes to desserts. Typically, a salad easily feeds two. Their home-made pasta are world class...and if you order their vino di casa you get a very decent wine at a very reasonable price. At times, service can be sluggish. And do not forget to book in advance, particularly on weekends.

After being to Osteria Ars Vivendi for a few times I can confirm the great food we had there the first time wasn't a fluke. Everything we tried was delicious, but I reserve a special spot for the Suppa di Pesce: literally the best fish...soup I ever had, with a mix of different kinds of fish and prawn, delicious toast and a creamy consistence it's always a treat. Pizzas are also especially good as is pasta. The service was also great every single time, though I should mention that we always sit upstairs, inside. We come back regularly to the Osteria, as it offers great food and service at very reasonable prices. If the weather is fine, a table outside in the very middle of the city is of course the most logical choice, but we had to eat...inside once and we've found the place very clean and modern. Pizzas are among the best ones I've eaten outside Italy, but everything else, from starters to desserts is just perfect. Everytime we've been there the place was full, but most of the times they've been anyway quick, plus they're super friendly and nice. The only reason for us to eat somewhere else in Waldshut is because they have no place

Rainy saturday, almost snowing. What better than a glass of wine and a meal? Even more so if the reception is warm hearted. Its my second visit to this osteria that actually would classify higher than just that. They offer a wide range of italian...food , the usual starters, pasta and even pizza. The pizzas I haven't tasted but they are huge and look very tasty. My suggestion is to go with their specials. Today I did order a European sea bass in crosta di sale , which is the whole fish baked covered in a thick crust of coarse sea salt. I used to go the this restaurants for years and it was always good! last saturday however I experienced the biggest disappointment in this restaurant. Appetizer, beef carpaccio was excellent!!! The pizza I was looking forward to eat, did not come while other guests which...came after us already paid their bill. After asking the waiter where our food is, the answer was it will come soon. it took minutes from the carpaccio to get the pizza. The pizza was hard, I mean really hard. Like old bread. Our neighbour table ordered pizza carpaccio. their pizza was hard and cold. the explanation of the waiter for the pizza being cold was the carpaccio makes the pizza getting cold ??????? the waiters exp...
