"What a shame, what a shame.... I had to delete my 5 star review from 5 years ago and make a new one now.... : The Rosalys was always my place to go I was always happy with the service and everything about it but after Corona the Rosalys changed a lot which I heard from many and now I was able to experience it myself on the phone : When I called and wanted to reserve for 9p or maybe 10p, I was told that that wasn 't possible because from 10p there was a menu with a minimum consumption. 9p works but 10 doesn 't work?! When I spoke to the manager it only got worse. I 've always noticed how absolutely NO ONE there is interested in their job and all the employees have an I don 't care attitude and walk around with a fake smile. In any case, the manager then told me that it was what it was, he even said “Take it or Leave it”!! Sorry, but that 's not the way to behave with paying customers, isn 't that how you serve?! We are all ex military and would have left a huge amount of money at Rosalys because we wanted a double seating from 6 p.m. to open end and that was denied, so we would have had to book the wine cellar for a double seating with a minimum consumption from 1,800. had my reservation been accepted as I would have liked, we would have spent much more than 1,800 Fr. just a shame. Then the manager said he didn 't have time to talk to me on the phone! hahah sorry that you don 't have to accept reservations from wealthy customers! "Die Familie Gnädinger hat dieses Unternehmen mit viel Herzblut und Schweiss geführt bis zum bitteren Ende. Die Freundlichkeit wurde immer an oberste Stelle gestellt und die Atmosphere war wie in keinem anderen Betrieb. Die Produkte einfach ein Traum und hinter jedem einzelnen Produkt waren echte handbegabte Künstler am werke. Das Team war nicht nur ein Team sondern eine eigene kleine Familie in der jeder auch ein offenes Ohr für jeden hatte. Andy und Yasi Gnädinger waren immer mit an vorderster Front und gaben vollen Einsatz. "Bin ab und zu hier. Am Mittag gibt es tolle Menues und einen speditifen Service. Am Abend kann Mann/Frau auch alleine oder mit Freunden hier etwas essen. Das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist fair. "A typical Swiss restaurant in the countryside with a relaxing atmosphere. There are many tables in the garden that are set under beautiful old trees and they also provide a cute little playground. So sweet. The service was friendly but a little bit inexperienced. The menu has a crazy lot of choices of Cordon Bleu and nice wines that are inexpensive. We had steak tartare as a starter. It was a little bit dry but seasoned very nicely. I had the Cordon Bleu Mex (spicy dish) in Lady size (250g). I mostly have spicy dishes in Thailand and I was surprised that this tasted real spicy. The meat was also really good and the fries were so crispy! Mmm~super! I would love to go again anytime."

"I chose this restaurant very carefully as it was my birthday, and my first time overseas in 2 and a half years (thanks Covid). I could not have chosen better this was my dream swiss restaurant in the heart of Zurich, really cosy, great service, it was the complete package. But its food that is most important to me, and neither myself or my 3 guests were disappointed. I had the barley soup to start then the entree portion of duck liver with salad. Both were terrific and the duck liver was plenty. My friends had respectively Wiener Schnitzel, Geschnatzlets with roesti, and Wild (game menu) all were served in traditional two portions, hearty and delicious food. For the quality and experience, I thought it was exceptional value for a special occasion dinner."

"Excellent quality at a very competitive price. It 's a real Japanese restaurant, not the usual fake Chinese all you can eat . The place is not very large but still welcoming and easily accessible. The menu is very rich in gastronomic options, well presented and with good quality ingredients. The staff is friendly, also speaks English, and is very efficient. The open kitchen. The parking is not very easy to find as it is on a main road. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended."

"This was the only non vegan restaurant in Zurich where the staff cared that my dining experience was just as good as all the non vegans in the party. Truly cared and made an effort to ensure I'd get enough food, knew what was vegan and what wasn't and didn't make me feel like a difficult inconvenience. Safe to go with a mixed party!"

"the gambrinus is rather small, therefore necessarily reserved. for many years you eat in the gambrinus in equally good quality. simple, good bourgeois cuisine to absolutely fair trips. our favorite is the firestone. pouletfilet with pommes in the small and fine sauces. the salad with the fine homedressing tastes us as an appetizer each wonderful. always liked."

"Ein sehr interessantes Restaurant bzw. abends wohl Restaurant und Bar, etwas puffig und ungewöhnlich, sieht eher aus wie ein Etablissement in der Langstrasse, aber ich fand es super und das Essen war ganz hervorragend. Der Flammkuchen, den man nach Belieben selbst zusammenstellen kann, war total lecker. Der Service war reizend, sehr nett und flott. Das kann man wirklich sehr empfehlen für mittags, wir testen sicherlich auch bald mal am Abend! Tolle Lage. Interessante Venue!!"

"First visit to the garden behind the building with the restaurant. Dining al fresco has its charms and it is less prone to excessive noise as experienced inside (because the place is always full). As reported in an earlier review the food is very good whether fish or meat and the desserts are so delicious that indulging even after a full meal is a must. The staff actually display some humour - a rarity in Switzerland - and the whole place has a familiarity to it that only establishments that are truly owner-run can boast of. We did not even miss the abundant flower arrangments in the restaurant, nor for that matter the beautiful candle display in winter when entering the place. Congratulations to the Gonzalez family for a truly superb eating place and may you be able to continue for another two decades."

"Visited Jai Prays with five family members. A small Thai restaurant in a tired area of Zurich. Menu was small but interesting. Decor good for a quick meal and gone. The main fault was not the food, it was delicious except the Tom Yum Soup as a main course was only warm. It was the time it took took to serve the six dishes to six people after the first dish arrived on the table! 22 minutes!!! Two of us had finished our meal as the last member was just getting theirs! All should have arrived at the same time or near to it. Poor kitchen priorities. When questioned the management just shrugged their shoulders. When in Switzerland be prepared - It's not a cheap or even reasonable country to eat out. Six dishes and two small beers and my wallet was 218 Swiss francs lighter. Tap water was free but not chilled. Not particularly thoughtful on a very warm Summer night.Table waiter was very good, waitresses left something to be desired and kitchen staff should be looking elsewhere if they cannot control their time. Overall an adequate restaurant let down by kitchen staff. Would I dine there again - no."

"...... i'm sorry! Bis bei mir die1 fällt braucht es extrem viel und ich hab ja nicht malgegessen.Das Essen sah gut aus, was auf den Tisch der Gäste kam. Ich kam nicht in den Genuss, leider.19.00 da gewesen, reserviert und ready. Draussen frei, drinnen nicht. Es war recht windig und dann wäre drinnen besser. Es hiess 19.00 draussen, oder 20.00 drinnen. Versprochen. 100%ig. Wir sassen dann extra neben an für ein Apéro und tatsächlich 19.10 kamen 4 Gäste. Da hiess es ja vorher, die hätten jetzt knapp 50 Minuten Zeit, wir hätten ja den Tisch um 20.00.Als wir 19.55 kamen hiess es gleich ready. Unser Tisch war um 20.03 noch gemütlich besetzt und bekam dann essen (erst)! und wir hätten warten sollen oder halt wieder draussen, wo es logischerweise noch kälter war als vorher! Es war sowohl den Kellnern & der Chefin ziemlich egal das wir extra gewartet haben und dass riesen Abstimmungs- und Koordinationsprobleme haben.Dann diese Arroganz, man merkte ganz einfach dass man auf 4 Gäste pfeiffen kann, es lief grad zu gut. Suppen verkauft man noch genug. Ich persönlich denke diese Probleme sollten nicht missachtet werden. Schon renommierte Blogs wie harrysding oder auch andere erfahrene Leute sprachen von Kommunikationsproblemen und vor allem von Chaotischen Zuständen.Lokal ist ok, eher eng und kostengünstig eingerichtet, liegt zentral gut am Lochergut.Trotz x 100 Restaurantbesuchen in Zürich muss ich sagen, so kam man mir erst einmal einige Jahre davor in Zürich. Ist absolut nicht zu akzeptieren. Schade. Allen mit endlos Geduld und dem unbändigen Drang zu japanischer Küche wünsche ich "Guten Appetit"."

"We were very excited to visit this restaurant due to the very high rating it is receiving and currently even the number 1 Chinese restaurant in Zurich! The place is situated on a side street with plenty parking spaces just in front of the restaurant. We have been informed that we will have to respect the social distancing as well disinfect our hands whenever we wish to use the buffet. The staff are friendly and attentive and the settings are just fine. If you have read until now and you might start to wonder why the heck did I only give a three star if everything seems to be fine? Well, since the center piece of any restaurant in the world is the food, the weighting of the score always has to be predominated by the food and it was: VERY AVERAGE! I have eaten all over the world and tasted all kind of cuisines and a lot of Chinese and it’s just a disgrace or probably a scam to give this restaurant such a overwhelming score.. the food is really not bad, but it’s also nothing to write back home and really doesn’t correspond with the rating reflected in the system. I suspect only cheap Charlies with no culinary senses at all finds this place “special” or “tasty” or whatever words they are using to describe the food.. it’s just very average and a big disappointment. If you opt for cheap buffet food, this is the right place to go. But PLEASE don’t dare to praise this place with such high ratings and to direct true foodies to this place, thank you!"

"We were here for a work dinner on a weekday so half the restaurant was empty. We were seated at 18:30 and our food did not arrive until 20:06 ! . We did get some appetizers earlier, but we had ordered our food well before 19:00 so there was no excuse for this. Actually, the wait staff gave the following excuse: you are 12 and you all ordered different dishes so it takes a while. In reality, we had ordered about five different dishes since several of us had the Wiener Schnitzel and others also had similar dishes. Worse, they completely forgot one of my colleague's orders so that colleague had to wait another 20 minutes for her food. The wait staff did not learn from this and proceeded not to take notes about our dessert orders either. Yes, it's our fault that we even bothered ordering dessert. She got the dessert order wrong, too. Additionally, the seating was uncomfortable. And the Wiener Schnitzel was only so-so. There are way better versions of that dish elsewhere in Zurich. I'm giving it a 2 instead of a 1 because the appetizer with the sausage was delicious. But there is no way I am ever stepping foot in this restaurant again and nor will my work group."

"we decided to go spontaneously after the Zoo visit to eat in adlisberg. it made a very good impression from first. we took place on the terrace. when the service was then served at the side table with a probably own vocabulary, we only looked at asking. we were also served after longer waiting. after waiting for a long time, what would have been understandable if it had had had guests (in the local were not guests), our drinks came, forgetting the service what I ordered to drink. again we were allowed to wait unusually long for our food and soon wanted to ask in the kitchen where it remains. it was then served. it was not bad and the price/performance ratio was not satisfactory for us. well, last but not least we were allowed to wait for the bill. in short: how were the first and last times in the adlisberg. _"

"accessible: the pizzeria is right on the road and has a large parking space. bus stop is also close. the pizzeria opens at 18:00.Ambiente: at these pleasant temperatures you have to sit outside. the garden is covered and typical italian: simple, but colored. the music is a bit too loud and no longer serves as a background music.Essen/Service: very friendly and fast. we were received with a smile and felt comfortable all night.We had a pizza prosciutto and a calzone. both very tasty and very well proven. the thin pizza prosciutto was very tasty and the don't make any cheap product. the added sharp olive oil is also recommended, but it is certainly has good sharpness.Price performance: the azzurro is not among the cheap restaurants in zürich, but the price/performance ratio is right in my eyes. with 21.50 the pizza prosciutto is priced at the upper end of my pressibility. but I am always worth the price and I will surely return to the azzurro. Conclusion: more stable and safer worth. I always like to come back to the azzurro. I can only recommend.Tips: book at the weekend if you want to sit out. come sooner or later than normal, then the service is faster. also pasta dishes are to taste."

"Wer aus einer grossen Auswahl Wein geniessen, oder mal etwas besonderes machen und Neues lernen möchte über einen bestimmten Wein oder eine Region (Personal fragen), oder wie wir - etwas Unterstützung suchten für die kommende Wein-Prüfung auf schon recht gutem Level (WSET3), wünscht sich best ausgebildetes und freundlich-zuvorkommendes Personal selbst im Rush-hour-Stress (aber natürlich besser etwas ausserhalb). Ihr sucht so etwas? Dann seid Ihr hier sehr richtig! Bereits zum dritten Mal war ich in der Mövenpick-Weinbar, um mein Weintraining zu verbessern sowie um einfach guten Wein zu geniessen - einmal alleine an der Bar, zweimal in Begleitung an einem der Hochtische. Ramona bot sich an, nebst der Bedienung vieler vieler anderer Gäste, uns ein wenig herauszufordern mit einem "personal winetraining": Wunderbar genuss- und lernreich, mit passendem Essen. Perfekt, danke sehr herzlich! Auch Jordanis gebührt ein besonderer Dank! Und beide sind sehr gut ausgebildet und geben gern etwas von ihrem Wissen preis. Nebst der vielen Arbeit mit all den anderen Gästen!Mövenpick Wein-Bar - Es lohnt sich zu reservieren, aber da die Weinbar mitten in der Stadt Zürich ist (Bahnhofstrasse- bzw unmittelbare Kaufleuten-Nähe), kann man auch auf gut Glück da hin. Und noch ein Tipp: Wer eine Weinausbildung machen möchte - empfehlen kann ich die "academie du vin" in Zürich, die gemäss dem WSET (wine and spirit education trust) eine Stufen-Ausbildung anbietet, beginnend mit dem interessanten Basiskurs für Alle fürs Grundwissen im Wein-Degustieren an nur zwei Abenden, auch ein sehr schönes Geschenk für beginnende Genuss-Profis. ;)Wünsche viel Spass & einen guten oder gar besten "Tropfen"! :) Clemens"
