"Situated in the medieval heart of Genzano, in the Roman castles, this trattoria is immediately welcoming thanks to its slightly retro furniture, with some of the walls covered in wooden decorations and the large open kitchen. There are no secrets here, because the cuisine is authentic with delicious recipes cooked just like in the past, with genuine local ingredients, such as the fantastic homemade bread, crusty, dark and intense in flavor with almost a hazelnut taste. In the hunters' trattorias, many bruschettas are offered with slices of this bread, including the one with mangalica lard, a quality of pork known as 'sheep', which has a dense hair that curls in winter, so much so that it looks like a sheep. A beautiful breed, which gives a rather fatty but very tasty lard (you must not miss the classic fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, in a sauce whipped with Parmesan cheese: excellent! In the basement there are several rooms all with beautiful murals with mountain scenes and landscapes where the protagonist is the primitive man. Warm atmosphere, very friendly waiters, good food!"
