"Awesome little restaurant. The owners were very welcoming. Found us a nice table outside. The service was great. The food was magnificent. The drinks were nice and refreshing. Overall great experience. Before our dishes came out they gave us a small fried bread, which was nice. We also had the Aperol Spritz, and Spritz Hugo (with Elderflower . Both very refreshing. We had for first course the Fried zucchini flowers with fresh ricotta, roman cheese (pecorino D.O.P. and anchovies , Roman tripe (typical Roman recipe in tomato sauce with croutons with mint oil . Both were excellent, great flavor, the batter on the flowers was nice and light, the tripe was so rich and tender. The second course we had the Carbonara with Black peppers Tellicherry and pork cheek from Norcia and white truffle cream , Carbonara with Bottarga (smoked tuna eggs from Marzamem , FETTUCCINE ARTIGIANALI HOMEMADE PASTA Alfredo with flakes of balsamic vinegar , Fettuccine with Sophia Loren pesto . Both versions of Carbonara were excellent, great el dente pasta and rich sauce, the Bottarga version was a nice alternate from the gunciale version, albeit a bit richer taste. Both Fettucinne stood out, the handmade pasta was so light and delicate, absolutely superb. The balsamic flakes lightened up the Alfredo and complimented the flavors nicely. For deserve we had the tiramisu with pistachio made with amaretto. And as a post dinner drink the owners brought out complementary limoncello shots, and a a dark chocolate no bake brownie she said yound kids would historically make at home, and sometimrs referred to in Italian as chocolate sausage (because it 's loosely mixed and the white flecks can be seen like you 'd see fat in a slice of sausage . Overall a great experience, will be a meal we remember for years to come. Grazie e buona notte!"

"I had the pleasure of visiting this ancient hostaria during my recent stay in Rome and I must say that the experience was absolutely fantastic. Located in a side street of Via del Corso, the hostaria has a welcoming and authentic atmosphere that makes you immediately feel at home. The food is simply delicious. I was lucky enough to taste the amatriciana, a traditional dish of Roman cuisine and the lamb, all prepared with skill and fresh ingredients. Every bite was a journey into Roman taste and culinary tradition. But what truly made my visit special was the hospitality of the staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and impeccable service. The staff were not only friendly and helpful, but also extremely professional, providing dish recommendations and making sure every need was met. In conclusion, I highly recommend this ancient hostaria to anyone looking for an authentic Roman dining experience. The food is delicious, the staff is pleasant and professional, and the atmosphere is simply lovely."

"Quando abbiamo lasciato il Teatro dell'Opera abbiamo visto questo Ristorante di fronte a noi e ho visto quanto è esistito e ho detto che deve essere buono e soprattutto che c'era una linea di persone in attesa di un tavolo, che è il segno migliore che è buono!!!! Abbiamo aspettato 15 minuti un po 'di tempo e tutto il tempo ci hanno servito molto bene, per mangiare abbiamo scelto un laminato, malconciato e fritto carciofo che era delizioso, poi alcuni spaghetti con Tartufo Nero che erano deliziosi e infine un pollo, fatto di pomodoro, un molto fatto in casa ed era EXQUISITE, non ho lasciato spazio per dessert così camomilla e un espresso e siamo stati estremamente soddisfatti!!! Buon rapporto qualità-prezzo SUPER RICOMANDATORE!!"

"The staff here is friendly. Despite the lack of sockets next to the tables, we put the phone on charge at our place. For food I took fried lamb with potatoes. Well. Sembra un ristorante dove gli italiani si conoscono bene. Non hanno portato antipasti. Quindi mi chiedevo se fosse nel menu fisso e andasse avanti, ma eravamo gli unici a non averlo... Portano il pane come aperitivo, e se lo mangiate, si ottiene 2 euro a persona. Certo che non te lo dirò. Ho bevuto solo un bicchiere di vino, ma l'hanno contato come due persone che bevono e mi hanno dato il conto. Il cibo è così."

"A hearty portion of pretty good carbonara. Slightly undercooked pasta, slightly oversalted, but I was both full and satisfied. As a starter we got a fried cheese ball with pesto. It tasted great, but we had to pay for it, even though we had never ordered it. Somewhat rude in my opinion. The waiter seemed to have a bit too much to handle, but still managed to smile, which I appreciate. Nice people, a bit strange local. All in all, a good and safe choice in this jungle of tourist traps."

In short, Le Striatelle di nonna Mafalda offers a highly recommended culinary experience, with food that really stands out. Although front of house service could benefit from more consistency in enthusiasm and customer service, this doesn 't stop the restaurant from being a place you would definitely want to return to. The combination of a cozy atmosphere, exceptional food and fair prices make this place an attractive option for any lover of good food."

"Being in the Kosher neighborhood, that is a reason alone to pay a visit. It is different instead of another church and more of the tourists. This area is a step away but still within grasp of being visited. Knowing of this, when in Rome we did want to visit for lunch. It was on the list. And this was a place to see as we heard it is one that has been on social media and used in other areas. So we went. It was ideal. We had all the especial in the area. Especially the best of fried Jewish Artichokes. This alone was worth the stop. It was large, fresh, had a good taste, and was worth the stop. It was ideal. We had that along with an order of mozzarela and tomatoes. That was followed by two different pastas. One with pesto that was freshly made that day. And a pasta with more artichoke leaves and olive oil. This was an excellent lunch. The price was fair for what we were to receive. It is an old-school formula and what you would expect. It was great to have the experience and to enjoy something a little different. Thank you."

"Il locale che non ti aspetti tra i viattoli del centro storico di Fondi. Locale con più sale e tutte molto particolari e suggestive con uno splendido giardino interno di cui purtroppo non abbiamo potuto usufruire causa maltempo. Il menù non è molto ampio ma tutti i piatti sarebbero da provare. Le polpette di baccalà e il risotto con gamberi rossi e stracciata direi favolosi, polpo fritto particolare e da provare, un po’ sdoganata la pasta con pesce spada e melanzane. Abbiamo optato per pasteggiare con dei cocktail per i quali il locale è rinomato, ma resto legato ad un buon vino. Esperienza comunque super positiva anche grazie ad un servizio eccellente delle ragazze che seguivano il tavolo."
