And at the end of waiting so long we decided to walk out the door. At which point the manager very aggressively ran after us, calling us thieves. "My partner and I were walking around Roma when it started pouring rain like hell. We ran and hid wherever we could and searched on Google Maps the closest restaurant with vegan options. We found this place, and we made it, soaked to the core. Little did we know that would be the best meal we'd have in all our trip. We had vegan carbonara spaghetti, and I don't lie when I say that it was better than any carbonara I've had in my life. The mile foglie desert was also finger-licking good! "Ordered steak that was basically killed twice that's how overcooked it was. Diavola and calzone were the only saving grace. Everything else I'd never order again especially a steak (di mazno as the owner is trying to say I meant the 16 euro steak. Di mazno is clearly steak as well) that's 22 euros comes with no sides and you're never asked how you'd like it prepared. I've never been somewhere where the default wellness is well done. Good views have to be for the place next door on accident. Service charge for a sleeping infant is insulting too as she was in a kangaroo carrier and took up no space and required no service. "Un cordiale benvenuto seguito da un insediamento quasi conquistato. L'ordinazione dei pasti è stata fatta in modo, in una bella sequenza di come i corsi dovrebbero essere portati a tavola, ma l'implementazione era completamente poco professionale. Tutti hanno ottenuto il primo corso secondo quello che era conveniente in cucina e ha dovuto aspettare fino a quando abbiamo finito di mangiare individualmente. Il secondo corso poi è venuto improvvisamente. Il cibo era forse la peggiore esperienza in tutta Roma."

"Clean, cosy, lovely little place, a lot of choice but clearly laid out, simple food made with care and very good value. Not fine dining but it does not pretend to be, vegetarians and vegans would not struggle here, bread could have been better was the only quibble. Seemed to be filled with tourists such as myself from all over the world, we seemed quite a pleasant rounded mix the night we were in. The place also seemed to have a few locals and possibly Italians from further afield dining here, which myself and my partner took as a good sign just after we had ordered and observed people flowing in chatting to staff; i'm pleased to say on this occasion this turned out not to be an unfounded good sign. The staff were excellent, the best experience from an eatery point of view after two days in the city. Reflecting a little more they would hold their own in many of the best places I've been too."

"Had a great lunch here! We got the lemon risotto, fried seafood platter as well as the ravioli. The risotto was really good, it had a fresh and interesting flavour which blended well with the fresh prawns. The ravioli was good as well, and well stuffed. The fried seafood platter can be skipped as it was pretty normal. Note that there is a €3 cover charge per person to sit down which we did not know about and the waiter did not give us olive oil till we asked nor did they refill our bread"

"We went to this restaurant one lunchtime in October in 2022. Best margarita pizza and tomato pasta we had ever had. We just came back to Sorrento today and searched for La Basilica. We eventually found it. My wife had La Basilica pizza and I had Scialatielli allo scoglio (clams, mussels, king prawn cooked in a sauce that tasted like it had been cooked for days in a slow cooker . We had a tiramisu also. All wine and food as amazing as before. Staff were fantastic as well. All i can say to them is Bravo! Grazia! Salut! We will be back. Probably tomorrow :"

Il pesce è sicuramente fresco e in cucina lo sanno trattare bene; ottime le tagliatelle con cozze e vongole, la tartare di tonno ed anche la tagliata di tonno. Solo i dessert non offrono nulla di particolare e sono un pò low profile. Porzioni decisamente abbondanti e prezzo assolutamente onesto, meno di quanto ci si potrebbe aspettare per del buon pesce fresco in una località turistica. "The definition of a hidden gem! Happened upon this place on our last night in Rome and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Very romantic, cozy spot, with excellent service, and authentic, delicious food to match. It’s tucked away in a quiet side street: a calm and intimate oasis amidst all the activity in Trastevere. We shared the Zucchini Flowers (filled with ricotta and shrimp – what a combo! , the Cacio E Pepe (had me drooling , and the Saltimbocca (the best I had during my stay in Rome – all were cooked perfectly and just oozed with flavour. Capped the evening off with an Amaro. What a genuine joy this place was. We simply can’t wait to return and have another meal here the next time we're in Rome!"
