"I came to visit a popa with my friend, as we had seen very good reviews online, and we enjoyed the idea of a sea view. we arrived and we had no reservation, although a friendly waiter greeted us and told us that the tables were taken directly at the sea, but we could sit a little more inside what was good of us. we got menus after sitting, and everything seemed a limited menu in comparison to other restaurants we visited in palma and quite pricy, but we expected it to be as it is attached to a star hotel, so we don't mind. we were asked if we wanted to drink, we just wanted water and said we would order other drinks with our net. our server approached us and asked me: “You have a T-shirt or a jacket, you have to cover this a restaurant that is a restaurant that you need to cover.” I explained that I wasn't as though it was heat and I was very warm as it is. I was quite upset, but we offered to go when there was a problem - although there were no signs for a mandatory dress code and nothing was said when we came in and sat, we saw the server that talked to a man behind the bar, possibly a manager who told him to pass the message. we were not told it's okay, I was quite frustrated, but went on to look through the menu. a few minutes later the same server came back and told us: “You have to cover up or go” although I told him that I have no other clothes. remember that they tried to get money from us for drinks before something was mentioned about my pensioner and we would not have been able to stay for this drink if I had ordered. I grabbed my bag and stormed out and continued to break with drinking in the midst of a very busy beach. I am a year old young woman who wants to enjoy my vacation, and so I am treated. I didn't go in a bikini or something. I am disgusting that this is the attitude of this institution towards women, which is grossly unfair and totally unacceptable. I'm going to email management to take the problem further. there was no explanation given, only “it is a restaurant that they need to cover”. An image of said outfit-granted some can see that it is more evident than what they would wear themselves, but that is absolutely no excuse, a woman feel like a second class citizen who should be ashamed of her biologically dictated body."

Super nice place with good food! It is super clean and just looks amazing with stunning view to the beach! I have been there several time during lunch! The service is done by 2 super amazing ladys (august 2023), which really know how to make u re stay unforgettable!! Pass by when you are in Cala mayor!But also: it is a bit pricy!

Lo único bueno el sitio y el servicio (a pesar de que el camarero ha dado la carta de vinos a la mujer y al darse cuenta la ha dado al hombre) atento y simpático. La comida pretenciosa y cara. La carta de vinos cara no, tomadura de pelo. Mejor ir de dia así almenos disfrutas de las vistas de la terraza y no te toman tanto el pelo.

Fui con mi tía a cenar y celebrar su cumple en el Restaurante A Popa.. La verdad que hemos comido de lujo, ha sido un auténtico disfrute cada plato, el ambiente, las olas y el detalle de la música de fondo acorde con las olas del mar. Todos, el equipo que nos recibió, desde arriba en la recepción, los chicos y chicas que nos atendieron en el Restaurante A Popa, nos han sorprendido enormemente, su amabilidad, disposición, su sonrisa y sobre todo la calidad de atención con esencia humana que tienen cada uno de ellos. No solo ha sido una bonita experiencia, sino que ha sido fascinante!!!

Without a doubt it is one of the best restaurants in palm, with an exquisite menu that forces you to visit several times the place because you want to try all the dishes....great variety of paellas, rice (my favorite red rice with foie) and a wide variety of tickets and desserts that are a pleasure for the palate. and if you accompany the food with a wonderful view of the major cove and the friendly and very professional barn. many thanks to all the staff, the director of the hotel nixe francisco serrano, the waiter who attended us and the chef toni who each year surprises us with new dishes riquísimos.
