"Basic food really. We eat there because we were staying there and didn't want to go out. Just stick to the simple things and you are OK. We had curries one evening which were quite good and fish and chips and chicken the following evening. They were fine, but nothing special. I understand that there was just one chef and it seemed like just one waitress for most of the time (who was looking after the bar too)."

My partner and I enjoyed a cream tea for two. It was fresh, well presented, but the quality and assortment were standard.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant on Christmas Eve. The food was excellent. Our only complaint is that we were anticipating Italian cuisine, based on the menu on OpenTable.

There was a lot of confusion regarding the booking I had made for the terrace restaurant, as we were instead seated at a table in the bar. I ordered a risotto that was very dry and not very enjoyable. Overall, I was not impressed at all and would not choose to dine here again.
