"1) Nice hotel, with sometimes very mixed food: a) The breakfast buffet is very extensive and excellent. b) Lunch in the “Gugelhupf” café fluctuates between ok and inedible. For example, a tomato soup or the sauce from Spaghetti Napoli tastes like curry ketchup. I have no idea which chef does something like that, but outside of a currywurst stand it 's a no-go. c) Dinner in the Panorama restaurant is good, but unfortunately only a menu and no buffet. Dinner in the “Am Kachelofen” restaurant is a buffet, but with a rather mediocre selection. There are almost no dishes for children, even though it is actually a family-friendly hotel. 2) Target group of the hotel: That is perhaps a bit at the heart of the problem. The hotel fluctuates between a family hotel, a business hotel and a wellness hotel. It doesn 't exactly hit the mark for any of these target groups. a) As a family hotel, there is a sports hall with a bouncy castle and some children 's toys. Unfortunately, the family rooms are exactly at the other end of the hotel, so you can easily travel 20 minutes with children. Unfortunately, there is hardly anything in between that is barrier-free for strollers or wheelchair users. For whatever reason, there are only 1-2 hours of children 's toys in the swimming pool every day. b) The sauna area is good for wellness guests, but can hardly be used with small children. The rest of the swimming pool area is nice, but a bit small. c) As a business hotel, the many children in the dining room and in the swimming pool are probably annoying. And as a rule, you won 't go to the sauna together in a professional context. 3) Other points: a) It 's great that there is childcare including lunch. b) The staff is friendly, but sometimes not that helpful. There is sometimes a lack of knowledge about how child care works or what is in the food. c) Even simple activities such as billiards cost extra. In a hotel in this price range I would have expected that this would simply be included. d) The prices for cocktails are quite fair, even if you sometimes have to wait a little longer due to the crowds."

Very beautiful hotel in a really charming region. The rooms were spacious overlooking a great view. The facilities including the pool was amazing and the food was so delicious. Really great for families with small kids Service: 5

There just wasn't much for adults to do. The pools were always swarming with kids, spa treatments had to be booked days in advance, there was no concierge or maps/brochures for local activities. This ended up being a DIY holiday at an all-in-one-package price. Service: 2

Good, but uneven experience for one week here. Rooms had great view. Food, given the cost, was quite good, but no variety at breakfast. The service was at times very good and at times poor. (Eg, asking for a postcard being asked one euro after paying thousands for the stay) Service: 3 Visualizza piatti

A very nice hotel with great service, very friendly staff in every area. The hotel is in a quiet location just above the Schluchsee. Unfortunately you can't see the lake from the hotel. The lobby is very nice and you can relax with the Karussel Bar. Breakfast has a huge selection and is super tasty. The restaurant is beautifully designed. Cafe Gugelhuof is also very nice, really tasty and accessible from the pool. A huge selection of massages and beauty treatments. Pool made comfortable. Wellness area with 4 saunas, which have become very nice. With a steam bath and salt cave. The sauna area is textile-free. There is also a sauna area just for women. Great oasis of peace. We'd love to come b...

Fantastic family friendly hotel. Incredible views, great facilities if you get a quiet week can book your treatments well before you turn up , excellent wine, good food albeit strong leaning towards lots of red meat the vegetarian food was nice, but could be more flavourful. We all felt looked after and the staff were so kind about kids making noise, which helped us relax from the moment we arrived. The dining room chairs were too heavy; we managed to smash a plate and a glass trying to manipulate them; there were parts of the decors that might benefit from modernisation, but it was so clean and well maintained that you couldn’t complain. Would come back here and bring parents as think all a...

"the restaurant in the curhouse consists of a spacious room and a terrace to the lake. the parking lot was made in a small garage for 3 hours free. from here a lift leads directly into the reading room of the curhouse. is then separated by a locally connected glass pane. we haven't been here for years, it was closed for a time. I have read that since the beginning of 2020 Greek pawns were there. Greek always goes, and from 17 o'clock is open, we decided to go early. we had the hope that in this big place, even without booking, as elsewhere here, a space would be free. Actually we were the first, only on the terrace sat two guests, already at the door we were caught if we had reserved. no we have not, then unfortunately not a place for us, all tables are booked, only on the terrace is still free. then we were looking for a halfway wind protected kitten, unsatisfied, as all tables were still free in the inner. shortly after, the tip came back and offered us a table in us when we were to be finished around the half seven. So we moved back. after that the service was very satisfactory. the very competent above served attentive and friendly. our food, consisting of putenschnitzel with rice and metaxasauce tasted excellent. a dish salad was in advance, and baguette was served. the menu is varied and in the frame, the environment cozy, the terrace, with good weather with sea view, almost mediteran designed, very nice. but I thought that was for those who were to make sure they are not too crowded locally. but here everyone was occupied without much distance. many guests who came without a reservation were allowed to sit in the reading room and were served there. At some point, there was no more space. we were glad that we could come back early because more and more guests pushed our table. I'm not usually like that, but it was a problem this time."
