"1) Nice hotel, with sometimes very mixed food: a) The breakfast buffet is very extensive and excellent. b) Lunch in the “Gugelhupf” café fluctuates between ok and inedible. For example, a tomato soup or the sauce from Spaghetti Napoli tastes like curry ketchup. I have no idea which chef does something like that, but outside of a currywurst stand it 's a no-go. c) Dinner in the Panorama restaurant is good, but unfortunately only a menu and no buffet. Dinner in the “Am Kachelofen” restaurant is a buffet, but with a rather mediocre selection. There are almost no dishes for children, even though it is actually a family-friendly hotel. 2) Target group of the hotel: That is perhaps a bit at the heart of the problem. The hotel fluctuates between a family hotel, a business hotel and a wellness hotel. It doesn 't exactly hit the mark for any of these target groups. a) As a family hotel, there is a sports hall with a bouncy castle and some children 's toys. Unfortunately, the family rooms are exactly at the other end of the hotel, so you can easily travel 20 minutes with children. Unfortunately, there is hardly anything in between that is barrier-free for strollers or wheelchair users. For whatever reason, there are only 1-2 hours of children 's toys in the swimming pool every day. b) The sauna area is good for wellness guests, but can hardly be used with small children. The rest of the swimming pool area is nice, but a bit small. c) As a business hotel, the many children in the dining room and in the swimming pool are probably annoying. And as a rule, you won 't go to the sauna together in a professional context. 3) Other points: a) It 's great that there is childcare including lunch. b) The staff is friendly, but sometimes not that helpful. There is sometimes a lack of knowledge about how child care works or what is in the food. c) Even simple activities such as billiards cost extra. In a hotel in this price range I would have expected that this would simply be included. d) The prices for cocktails are quite fair, even if you sometimes have to wait a little longer due to the crowds."

"The old Black Forest House is located in the district of Fischbach and is a secret tip. Here you can relax in the middle of an idyllic valley, here the fish stream flows down to the canyon lake and gentle meadow slopes. I'm checking the hotel restaurant and I can't say anything to the rooms. In the short term we decided to eat here. Rings around the canyon lake were overcrowded by the possibilities of return, and we hoped to find a place outside. Since we were not reserved before, we have a little two table with chance and luck. The big restaurant was completely reserved. Fortunately, we were there at 5 a.m. so we could eat almost alone and quietly. Most guests came at 6:00, then it became pretty narrow. Cordon Bleu and veal carvings with fresh vegetables, salad and pommes tasted very well. A tannial dish for Mr. B. and a non-alcoholic dish for me. Otherwise, meat and fish dishes are on the map. You have to spend 20 euros for a meal, but it was worth it. You can also sit in a beautiful ambience with subtle background music. When looking out the window you could see some cows that were well balanced on a mountain slope. If you don't have the AHA all the time in your head, it could be so beautiful here. So you could not enjoy the stay very much as it became quite full. But no one can, and I give 4 stars and recommend it."

"after a long trip a relaxed first evening at the lochheiri. we had to get away, there's warm food only until 20:30. outside it was already a bit damp and cool. a visit is worth it anyway, the map is clear and very affordable. we had flutter soup and Swiss sausage salad or salat and flaky cake with salmon, also of course rothaus pils from the fass. auf’s house excellent pear brand to the conclusion. very accommodating service. if it allows the weather, necessarily put on the beautiful terrace."

"as a hotel guest the a la carte 3-course menu costs 28€. as we were tired from the trip, we decided to eat in our hotel. as an appetizer we had smoked salmon (oké, nothing special) and meat with chestnut (very good). the main dish was also very nice (meat and a carving, sounds normal, but was well prepared). homemade late tent was good! also I was impressed by the noodle (which I usually abhor) the dessert was somewhat strange, we liked the honey of the cheese plate (which was rather a collection of breakfast cheese) and the sweet desert was a raw purple birne, strangely tasting mousse and normal ice. we choose 3 out of 6 very good oriented. the courts had a very good size (actually we were already full-cocked before the desert);"

"pure chaos - still deliciously eaten at 18 o'clock. as this was locally full, which seemed sun, we sat on the terrace. as well as 4 more couples. we were not observed by the service, although we had communicated to want to eat.After approx. 30 minutes came a totally stressed, yet friendly young man and took the orders. the drinks came quickly. it was 19.oo clock. 20.oo clock nothing happened. after 2 complaints, the second somewhat more violent, the salat was served. unfortunately not the one ordered, but was changed quite quickly. large salat plate consisted of mushy leaf salad, carrot and herbal salad, a few tomato quarters and egg quarters. the whole sponge in a dressing. my man had ordered a preliminary. that was announced but not served. here again complaint. so the suppe was finally served together with the main course. on the terrace, now 20.45 clock, it was slowly cold, so faster had to be eaten so that the food could be enjoyed even a little lukewarm. the suppe and the main foods would have been a real pleasure, the annoying would have been spared."
