"I went with friends to have a goose meal at the guest house which also has a wonderful restaurant. The restaurant is well known, therefore, if you have a specific date to have a goose dinner, I would recommend making reservations about six months in advance. The restaurant usually offer goose dinners from about 11 Nov to the end of the year. There were eight of us so we had two whole organic geese. Only organic goose is served at the restaurant. The goose was perfectly cooked. The skin was crispy and light, and the meat moist and very well seasoned. There are two courses of goose. The first course started with a green salad with a very nice dressing. The Chef/Owner of the restaurant carves the goose for each table of diners. The Chef placed goose meat on top of a delicious chestnut puree with a side of roasted potatoes. After a short break, the second course consisted of more goose meat served with the traditional potato dumplings, red cabbage, stuffing made with goose liver, and gravy.The two geese was more than enough for us so we had leftovers. We also decided not to have dessert.We definitely enjoyed the goose dinner and would highly recommend Landgasthof Neubauer."
