"Goodness me, it’s been a very long time since I stepped foot into Arthur’s. It’s actually moved location by a few blocks within the city centre so I guess it’s over three years since I last visited. What used to bring me in then was their coffee deal, and it was the same deal that brought me back in this time as well, aided too by just pure curiosity: any coffee a quid. £1 up to 11am. Now I already had a great flat white coffee for a quid an hour before at Hotel Chocolat cafe and I was just in time for their deal. So it was another flat white from Arthur and I was buzzing but it Arthur behind the counter? His distinctive gait, his friendly demeanour and his barista skills combined with old memory told me it’s the same bloke as before, he may be Arthur maybe not. Damn fine coffee mind. As I waited for my £1coffee deal Revolut card at the ready I noted a £4 lunch deal including a chicken filled ciabatta sandwich, a soft drink or Americano or tea. Now just like the pre 11am coffee that’s a real deal."

I stopped for lunch in this conveniently placed 'coffee house '. Well, to call it that would be to sell it short, as the food is exceptional all made with fresh ingredients right before my eyes by pleasant and polite staff. Visualizza piatti

Ordered a breakfast baguette which contained bacon and sausage. Pre cooked cold deli counter meats, were then placed in a baguette and toasted for a couple of mins. This was then served partly hold and some of the meats still cold.

My wife and I stopped into this coffee shop sandwich bar recently and we were well impressed with good helpful friendly service, really good food with generous portions and all served at a very reasonable price. We will be back soon when in the city centre again.

found myself outside this hidden gem when hunger hit and the warning light came on indicating I needed coffee and fast. Ended up have the chicken chilli toasted sandwich with a cappuccino and boy was I glad I did. Very quick service with friendly staff and a happy camper here. Highly recommended. Visualizza piatti

I love all of the Arthurs coffee houses the staff are exceptional so polite and accommodating! The soup, sandwiches/bagels and freshly made salads are second to none. If you are in need of a £1 morning coffee or a £3 £5 lunch then go to ARTHURS on Upper Arthur Street, Callender Street or Gloucester Street in Belfast ... you won't be disappointed! : [hidden link]

Thought I'd try Arthurs for a change. There was no queue when I arrived which was great. I ordered a white bread sandwich from one guy, there were two people working at the counter. There wasn't a great selection of salads on the counter. The lady asked me what I wanted inside then took me over to pay immediately before my sandwich was even made. I thought this is great very time efficient. It wasn't. There was no butter on the sandwich. The bread was hard. There was red onion in my sandwich which I did not order. I was charged 4.60 for cheese and salad.

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."
