"I am American and have lived in Italy for 6 months. My Partner is Italian and loves to show me new places and I love adventure. The atmosphere was fun, large ponds /streams with icy mountain water running by. The grounds were not maintained well...and the seating was designed for large groups. Everything is do it yourself, get the paper table cover, silverware, plates water, etc. and the man must get the stuff. they say it is some tradition but I think it is a way to save money on labor. which would be great if the saving were passed along). You tell them what you like and the broadcast your name over an annoying PA system when each dish is ready. We ordered an appetizer, a pasta dish and a fish and 2 beers, price 50 euros $75 us) The food?? I am not a chef but I have eaten all over the world....In some of the best/unique restaurants you can find. I have eaten also very bad food. In some ways I am hard to please, but other ways im easy. To start with it was a warm day and id just run up gran Sasso in a brutal race and all I could think of was a cold beer. so even before we sat this nice guy brings me a bottle of basic beer. WARM!! they put one in the cooler for me as I choked down the other. The appetizer was toast with with white beans and pieces of trout soaked in vinegar. more on the Trout later) I like the white beans and the bread had the rustic multigrain texture, but the vinegar trout part gave me a wide eyed pucker up hence a thumbs down. next...A large bowl of Penne style pasta with a red sauce and a shell type crawdad creatures. There were plenty of these guys in there, about the size of a small mouse, hard as carbon fiber on the outside and meatless mash of green and brown guts on the inside, better over cooked than undercooked. No meat but I chalked it up to that's what they were supposed to be like and I ate most of mine avoiding the stuff I avoid on lobster heads. Even if I had liked them they were not drained properly as water gushed and squirted out when biting into them. The red sauce was ordinary as was the pasta, nothing noticeably bad or good. The fish trout) arrived, at the same time I retrieved my COLD beer. The had a case of coke with, watermelon and wine cooling in the stream!! hello!! throw a case of beer in! Back to the Fish. i am from the Rocky mountains and my family are fishing nuts....so I grew up eating a lot of trout. I love it! except farmed trout There is a big difference. just because the pellet fed fish was plucked from his cage on the pond that morning fresh fish is the claim) does not mean it is good. Molto bene. cibo locale molto ben preparato. ottima ospitalità. Cuochi assunti pesci d'acqua, principalmente trote. ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. atmosfera familiare, possono aiutare e servire se stessi.

this place is a rich to the earth fantastic eating. I love the whole concept of this place. ladies sit while men go back and forward to get what is needed for the table. the wonderful food is called, and they come to Assunta and gather her precious lunch. amazing massive and juicy garnels. love it. the place to go

Consigliato da un negozio locale, il ristorante si presenta molto bello con molti complementi in stagno. Ben tenuto e cibo buono, con prezzi nella norma. Giudizio negativo, nasce da alcune cose che personalmente preoccupano, prima di tutto il dover prendere posate, piatti e bicchieri a prescindere dalla pulizia delle mani di tutti, e non. Il cameriere inesistente per il quale il conto arriva al tavolo e si paga, giustificato dal costo basso del coperto. Non sono ancora convinto.

It is a great place with a inside and outside nice accomodation. The water garden is a natural masterpiece. You can eat at the sound of the little river. You will not have a huge variety of food, but the speciality are the local river...fishes. Perfect cooked. You will have to serve by yourself. But this is an old tradition of the place. Il mio tour per l'Abruzzo è stato prima di tutto un viaggio gastronomico, perché questa terra offre sapori unici e piatti che mi hanno fatto scoprire nuovi ingredienti ai quali non avevo mai dato troppa importanza. Vicino a Laquila c'è Tempera, un piccolo villaggio sulle montagne dell'Abruzzo, e qui si trova il ristorante assunto, su una strada defilata fiancheggiata da pioppi. Il ristorante si trova a Tempera, un paese a pochi chilometri dall'Aquila. Seguendo le indicazioni, a un certo punto si abbandona la strada principale e si percorre una stradina sterrata tra pioppi e faggi. Quando si arriva ti trovi davanti a un cancello di legno aperto su un sentiero di ghiaia, ai lati sono posizionate bellissime file di piccoli vasi di gerani rossi. A pochi metri si arriva al parcheggio riservato agli ospiti. La location è davvero splendida, circondata dal verde e dalla natura.
