"I was there three weeks ago. While pouring the sauce over my lobster, the waiter emptied it all over my torso and pants. We're talking about 300ml of hot, fatty sauce. Everything from the left breast down to the waistband of the pants was full. From that moment on, the evening was over for us. We actually wanted to move on after dinner, but that was no longer possible. How did the restaurant accommodate me? The waiter offered to have the shirt cleaned, which I declined because it would be less hassle for me to just throw my shirt in my own washing machine instead of having to go back and forth to the restaurant and then back and forth again to be picked up . So wouldn't really have been better for me. Afterwards the waiter just offered me the aperitifs. Those were two sparsely filled glasses. In my opinion, far too little for what was done to me. The two of us ended up leaving over CHF 380 for a ruined evening. What I would like to add: The restaurant's toilet was the worst and most disgusting one I have ever experienced in Switzerland. The whole floor was sticky and not a single toilet had any toilet paper. A toilet was full. Apparently they invest far too little in cleaning staff. The food tasted good, especially the lobster. My starter, fish soup, was rather mediocre. I've had much better ones in much cheaper restaurants in Portugal or Greece. For example, these were nice and creamy and the fish pieces in them were very tender, literally melted in your mouth. But here it felt like it was just bouillon with a few dry pieces of fish in it."

Made booked through The Fork via Tripadvisor. Walked an hour plus to get here and told the place was fully booked. No apology we just got shouted at and ignored.

Top service and amazing food! Amazing atmosphere and interior style. I will definitely recommend this restaurant! Perfect cooked lobster and fish, large selection of caviar and oysters.

Mr. Ellermann greeted my partner and I upon arrival. His service was impeccable yet friendly. The selection of food was wonderful and the atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant and romantic. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys seafood and appreciates 5* service.

My mother, grandmother and I celebrated 2022 Mother’s Day dinner. Elegant atmosphere. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly, the service was excellent. They even accommodated our request for a chocolate desert although not offered in the menu. We will come again! Highly recommended.

It may not be Michelin-rated but we had a wonderful fine dining experience here. Although known for their lobster (which we get at home) we had local fish and oysters and other regional specialties served by an expert wait staff. Only recommendation would be could they update the background music a bit--Sinatra for 3 hours gets old. Ambience, service, menu, great tasting food--the whole deal.

We have been regulars at the Hummerbar for almost ten years now and it has always been a pleasure to have our Saturday lunches there. Friendly staff and service, and we almost always get our favourite table. During the last years we however noticed a slight decrease in food quality (although not bad by any means), and that’s why it was such a fantastic experience when we returned last Saturday, after a Covid hiatus of more than six months, and found the place back in good form and even better!
