Great little restaurant with a warm welcome, simple but elegant menu and a great wine list with myriad champagnes to try. Perfect for a trip to Ay.

We had to wait 2 hours for the main course! Due to this we cancelled the dessert! The tables are too small to serve as tables in a restaurant. The service was not very attentive and less professional.

very friendly and original decoration. card reduced but very good. very long service: we reserved for and went out without taking desserts! at the table, we waited before the entrances arrive with a few bottles but without amuse-plugs... report quality price very well

small stop at ay before returning and taking forces for the road:)resto atypical for the corner, young and smiling staff (mostly feminine on the day of our passage). good small dishes without pretension: organic egg, pork chest h. enough room between the tables, pleasant sound background, no cool discover!

Friendly helpful staff with our poor French. Thankfully the menu was in English too! We also appreciated 3 well thought through options for each course. We enjoyed tomatoes and burrata for starters and veal burger with fries and fish in cabbage with champagne sauce for mains with plenty of fresh baguette. Some might consider the portions on the small size but it was plenty for us and we didn’t leave feeling overly full. Would give 4.5 from us. I would definitely return on a future visit.

Très joli cadre. Accueil sympathique. Carte des vins très fournie contrairement à celle des plats. Pas d'indication sur d'éventuel plats pour enfants. Service par contre brouillon et informations contradictoires. Plats qui n'arrivent pas au même moment. Certains mangeront froid en attendant les autres. Quantité restreinte cela peut laisser certaines personnes sur leur faim. Présentation soignée et mets raffinés. C'est bon mais attention au manque de sel. Il en résulte un manque de saveurs, dommage. Prix trop élevés. Ça part d'une bonne intention mais j'ai un goût amer face au rapport qualité prix qui ne suit pas du tout.

We has dinner on a very wet and windy evening in late March. Avarum has glass ceilings over much of the dining area and this meant it was rather too cold inside for our liking. Service was reasonably attentive. The menu is very short and didn’t offer much choice. The food was presented nicely but portions are small. We could and maybe should have stuck to just the charcuterie and cheese platters. The mains were very expensive for what they were. No children’s options so our two boys are little more than bread and salmon. This is a place more for couples or small groups of foodie friends.
