"After a frustrating day of travel, my daughter and I discovered Ristorante da Tony only a ten-minute walk from our disappointment of a hotel (Marriott). We were instantly and warmly welcomed by Tony. He asked just the right questions of us while going over the...menu and specials to determine what comfort food he could provide. He brought the perfect wine, exactly the appetizer that would compliment the meals we'd chosen, and hearty plates of pasta exactly what we needed to improve the day. His gracious hospitality is even more appreciated than the wonderful meal. We look forward to telling friends to be sure to visit this special place!"

"The origin of beer . This is the biergarten of the oldest brewery in Germany. The food is amazing (the porc knuckle will knock you out) and comes in large portions. The beer is very refreshing and tasty. The seated setting is nice, a green garden with nice views. You could also give the obazda a try. It is one of the best here. If you sit inside (at the restaurant) think about making a reservation first. You can then try the pfandel."

"A special experience to be able to make it here. Accessible by train but easier with a car and plenty of parking. On a beautiful campus with stellar views. Impressive for a state-owned brewery, the facility is huge with a classic layout and traditional biergarten. Inside seating looks great but luckily it was a beautiful, sunny, warm day. Food and beer are cafeteria style but it's all fresh and all delicious. Friendly folk and a truly great atmosphere/vibe."

"Local restaurant serving Bavarian meats, gravies and dumpling, red cabbage, sauerkraut, etc. Food is good and plenty. They serve a good beer, including Weissbraeu and Hofbraeu beers. We sat outside in front of the restaurant at a small table near the door. The table we sat at had an annoying fly problem, literally tens of flies attacking our dinners. There were several large tables out in the courtyard that did not seem to have this problem.The service was typically German, somewhat in-attentive with a lack of interest. Not one of the best places we have eaten in the Munich area, but not terrible."

"Having read some positive reviews on Kathi’s, we decided to go. Upon arrival we were advised the restaurant was full and the only table available was within a small overflow area. Before taking in the surroundings, we accepted and sat down. We quickly realised the...area we were sat was the entrance to two shops and a bar?!! The shop windows were in need of a wash and the ambience was non existent. I absolutely adore steak and often cook in my own kitchen, I was really keen to try the special Bavarian steak. I’m a little confused as to why you would come to Bavaria and order meat from another country? There was many selections from other countries available. I should note that with a price tag of €39, my expectations were high. My husband ordered the burger. Our food arrived and cutting into my steak, it became obvious the meat was not cooked as ordered, I requested “medium”...the meat had not been rested either meaning the meat juices and blood were on my plate. I requested the waiter return to the kitchen for further cooking. Once my steak arrived back, it was cooked to my preference however still oozing meat juices on the plate. At home, my steak is rested for a minimum of 5 minutes to avoid this. The meat was nice and so too were the accompaniments, my husband reports his burger was tasteless and laden with various sauces, causing it to collapse with moisture. All in all, we would not return. A restaurant focusing on serving steak should have chefs who know how to successfully cook (and rest) this expensive cut of meat."
