from the lunchtime bao bungalows to the evening tasting menu this place never disappointed. tonight I had the Christmas-Japanese tasting menu and it was so delicious, I'm already excited for my next visit!

Came here for dinner food was incredible as were the staff!! The bao buns and rice sticks were both out of this world (highly recommend aubergine katsu bao)! Although small, the staff have addressed the social distancing well with screens in place. Highly recommend it here! Well worth a visit!

We enjoyed the following dishes: - Fried chicken with sriracha mayo and lettuce in a brioche - Beef tartare with dashi, soy, and artichoke crisps - Japanese popcorn shrimp with tom yum sauce - Seared scallops in green nam prik - Miso cookie with malt ice cream I highly recommend all of the dishes, but especially the shrimp with tom yum sauce and the fried chicken!

Been here for a bite at lunch time. It’s really a cool little place. Tried a chicken Bao bun, Aubergine Bao bun and pork in Brioche bun. And also tried their specials of the week “Japanese ginger” . All of them tasted so different and so tasty. It’s a great place if any one wants to try some real Asian flavours . The chefs are so passionate about what they do. Will be back again .

Went to Bao Bar for the first time tonight and had an amazing meal. It’s a small space but they have the whole vibe just right. Every plate of food we had was faultless. The ingredients are clearly fresh and high quality. The service was absolutely spot on. There are lots of nice little touches like a frozen glass for your beer. The food and drink is really reasonably priced. We will 100% be going back soon and highly recommend to anyone who likes Asian food.

What an incredible restaurant that delivers on its Instagram promise and more! We were so happy we made a reservation. The soft bao buns had fantastic filling combinations, and the katsu tofu and wagyu bark special on Wednesday were absolutely delicious. We enjoyed yuzu cocktails and a miso caramel dessert, all complemented by the super friendly and attentive service. I'm grateful that Bao Bar is such a great find for us! The communal tables may be a bit cramped with a maximum of eight people, but the interior is warm and inviting. I don’t usually write many reviews, but I felt compelled to share this gem!
