"Ate here twice, so the first night at least impressed us. Arrived into Spain Friday night and tried the first bar we came to for dinner. Good Friday and it was very quiet with a couple of policia local watching the football on the TV. Not really sure if they were supposed to be on duty but they were in the back room so couldn't be seen from the road. Just an authentic small town bar with a large menu choice. However it is a big bar and extends a long way behind the front bar. At the very back of the bar there is a dance floor and an elderly couple were dancing. It really set the mood and even with the footie blaring from at least 3 TV's, it was all a bit romantic. A very large party started to arrive , suitably late as always in Spain, so I expect it is used for special occasions quite a lot We had a selection of tapas, all very good, other than the fried artichoke which they assured me was in season but it was rubbery and just awful Chicken and entrecote from the main menu as main courses. not exactly delicious but acceptable and very reasonable overall. Staff not exactly falling over themselves but pleasant enough. Our last night in Spain before the flight back from Alicante airport the following morning, we returned, partly due to the fact it was raining heavily and we were getting very damp. Staff were really totally disinterested in all customers, so it wasn't just us. Service slow although the place was even more quiet on this visit. not sure I would ever return but my partner liked the authentic atmosphere."

We always have the menu del dia. Salad, three course, wine and coffee. Still just 10€ per person. Same staff for years and always busy. Menu in Spanish but waiters always helpful.

Tienen menú entre semana a precio económico y gran variedad de platos. El servicio es correcto, pero la calidad de la comida no es gran cosa, pudiéndose incluso justificar con su bajo precio, lo que no quita que no sea de mi agrado.
