"The menu has changed and the food has gone severely downhill. We ordered the bruschetta and the hummus for starters and the bruschetta was just two small pieces of toasted bread with half cut up cherry tomatoes and two dollops of mozzarella. The hummus was a tiny pot of hummus with ONE tiny bit of toasted bread. How on Earth you’re supposed to eat the amount of hummus you’re given with one bit of bread I’ll never know. For mains we had the pepperoni pizza and the duck pasta and the pepperoni had huge bits of onion on, neither of us minded that there was onion on it but it was poorly cut and had huge clusters of onions stuck together, it was just poor. The pasta was mediocre and did not have enough sauce and was lukewarm and when I mentioned this to the waitress she said sorry but no attempt was made to rectify any of these issues (through no fault of hers she was very new I am blaming the restaurant not her)"

The restaurant is spacious and offers a wide variety of food. The staff were friendly and efficient. My only disappointment was that the lasagna no longer came with garlic bread.

the waitress was excellent. the service was very fast, although you said it can be slow. the food was good. our only disappointment was that we were told that there were some elements on the menu that were not available, so we ordered three carbonaras to say that they also ran out.

we arrived on time and ordered drinks, followed quite quickly by eating. in consideration of the fact that this was a Vortheater dinner, we expected that the service would be prompt. then we waited almost an hour for our food. an article we ordered was gone and at the time when it finally arrived, we had 10 minutes to get to the theater. the waitress offered us to take boxes for late garlauchbrot, which we only accepted to say at the theater, we could not take with us warm food, so that it had to be disposed of in the mülltonne and in the deceptive.

We hadn't eaten at this restaurant in a few years due to a previous unpleasant experience, and unfortunately, our latest visit was no better. When we made our reservation, we mentioned that we needed to leave by 6:45 PM for a theater performance, but our main courses didn’t arrive until then, leaving us feeling rushed. Once again, the food disappointed us. We had all requested our dishes to be extra saucy, as we dislike dry pasta, but unfortunately, the kitchen did not honor this request. To their credit, the restaurant did offer a partial compensation on our bill, but we won’t be returning.

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
