Am Kai - Piatti

Ich habe in der Preisklasse schon deutlich besser diniert. Das Essen war sicherlich sehr gut und auch der Wein, aber es fehlt an Herzlichkeit und das Besondere fehlt erst recht. Daher für diesen Preis inakzeptabel.

Das Essen ist wirklich klasse und zu einem Preis, der okay ist. Die Weinbegleitung zum Menü hat ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Der Service könnte freundlicher sein, bei einem Restaurant dieser Klasse ist man eigentlich einen anderen Service gewohnt.

Was für eine Entdeckung! Die leichte von der japanischen Esskultur inspirierte Küche war ein kulinarisches Highlight! Subtil und mit viel Können abgestimmte Gerichte kombiniert mit hervorragend passender Weinbegleitung machen ein Dinner zum absoluten Geschmackserlebnis. Bravo! Visualizza piatti

Excellent food, I had octopus followed by venison, a lot of different tastes some conflicting but very well cooked. This place deserves a start even a Michelin star, but the service is pretty bad! It just is none existent, when it is it is...poor, everyone is ok just not attentive or professional. When I complained the lady in charge took responsibility and saved the evening. A lovely setting on the river, a nice bar too. Shame would have liked to give it star, I’ll come back maybe I had a strange Saturday night.

dieses Restaurant ist ungemütlich, in einer Ecke steht das Büro, die Tischdecken nicht ordentllich und die Dame die uns bedient hat sehr unfreundlich, konnte nichts erkären, wir hatten das Gefühl , als würden wir hier stören, lauter Flaschen auf dem Tisch und die Präsentation der Speisen war unterirdisch . Man fühlt sich hier einfach unwohl. Das Essen war nicht schlecht, aber zu einem Sternerestaurant würde ich es nicht zählen. Warum wird dieses Restaurant nur so hochgelobt ???? Uns wird man dort nicht wiedersehen.

Wir freuten uns auf einen angenehmen Abend. Wir waren der Ansicht, dass wir einen freistehenden Tisch (Prospekt) erhalten würden. Wir sassen mehr oder weniger in einem Bistrôt! Relativ eng und dies in einem Sternerestaurant. Die Weinkarte ist gut, wobei die Preise zu hoch sind. Die Speisekarte war übersichtlich und in Ordnung. Die Wartefristen zwischen den Gängen war sehr zähflüssig wenn nicht gar zu lange. Das Essen war gut aber auf keinen Fall den Preis wert. This was my second time at this restaurant. I went there years ago. it was a total disaster. The manager (a lady, I think her name is Barbara, she has been there for a long time she was very rude, unfriendly and didn’t...like answering questions either. The menu is overpriced, but food was tasty even though the portions were small. The service was very slow, we waited over one hour to get our main entree. I do have to give credit to a Japanese waitress, she was outstanding, she tried her best to provide the best service. This was our first visit after the renovation (and subsequent lockdown), however we've visited Berens regularly over the years. New is the bar at the entrance, the newly designed backwall and the possibility to sit alongside the harbour having a drink. We were shown a...table on the terrace, as the inside was occupied with a large group. The terrace was also almost at full capacity. And that showed throughout the evening. Our table was not set, it took minutes until someone arrived to lay it and give us the menu (which then was the wrong one, as we pre-booked a special menu). The location is really nice and food deserves one GM start. But that is where the praise end; with a full stop. For over one hour, sitting outside on the deck, I had the sun straight in my eyes and ended with massive headache. No...help possible from staff so a huge miss-design by owner. We took the Modern menu (really good food) and asked for wine pairing. This was was available but no price mentioned anywhere. If interested is was per person which is a bit expensive for what we got. Now to the service which was the poorest GM star restaurant service ever.
