"This tiny restaurant has just become my favourite place to eat in Lugano. It's just one big room with a few tables but it's decorated in such a way that you feel in someone's traditional and old fashioned home, or in a French bistrot. I...had lunch here twice, the second time was today and I will be back in 3 days, you can see how I love it : The food is delicious: 6-7 main courses and 3-4 types of desserts, limited choice means quality and freshness. Many of the veggies come from their garden, dishes are original in their combination and different from standard classic restaurants. They have a small menu that changes every time, with vegetarian options. Everything is homemade, including desserts. I love drinking their ginger infusion together with my meal. They are open from breakfast to aperitif, however if you are a big group of people they can open just for you in the evening. In the summer they have a few tables outside, I can't wait to try that too. It's so nice to have such a unique place in Lugano, different from all the mainstream normal restaurants and so full of character!"

This place is simply beautiful with amazing attention to detail. It breathes devotion to great food, enjoyment and has wonderful service. I can't think of a place that is unique to Ticino in Lugano.

I was on my birthday with my local friend. The menu for lunch had 5 dishes, of which 3 were vegan. We both the same because the lady next to our table just got it served and it looked fantastic. You can only pay money that is a little sad this time, but fortunately we had it. Two sisters (older) own the restaurant and it is like the grandmother at home. We loved it! Visualizza piatti

I accidentally discovered this place and when I booked, I didn't know they had a courtyard. It was nice to sit in this picturesque garden. Food is organic and there is a great choice for vegetarians. The food was delicious and beautifully presented.... The only complaint was the hearty tar was heated in a microwave that makes the pastry soggy. I would definitely recommend this place.

No doubt the best restaurant I've ever been. Oh, my God. Found this place as it was close to the place where we were, and we chose to dinner last night. The atmosphere was amazing. We were greeted by a wonderful, passionate lady who presented a beautiful handwritten menu with amazing dishes. I don't think we're lucky. The court was so elegant and underlined. The wine was brilliant. And the dishes. Wow, fresh ingredients. Italian food for its best and cheap. Couldn't recommend enough. What a precious little jewel of a fund. Highlight of our holiday. Thank you. Visualizza piatti

The A Fior Di Gusto Bio Bistrot offers a daily changing menu selection (see picture), I could choose between four main dishes and two desserts, which were labeled as vegan: Lentil mushroom stems with beet root a vegetable soup Erbsenravioli with roasted walnut herbal sauce a Kurdish dish with wort, chickpeas spiced and not tasty The small restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and has a cozy vintage touch with its painted porcelain and wooden tables. The service was friendly and the waitress could translate the menu into German. Updated by previous review on 2020 10 15

The A Fior Di Gusto Bio Bistrot offers a daily changing menu selection (see picture), I could choose between four main dishes and two desserts that were labelled as vegan: lentil mushroom strudel with beetroot a vegetable soup pea ravioli with toasted walnut herb sauce a kurdish dish with bulgur, chickpeas spiced pumpkin rice soup with leek, chestnut and cabbage buckwheat nutcake with berries and raspberry sauce beetroot and raspberry mousse I had the lentil and mushroom filled strudel and a piece of the buckwheat nut cake. Both didn't taste very special, but were still tasty and filling. The small restaurant itself is nicely furnished and has a a cozy vintage touch with its painted porcelai...

"Me and my husband chose this restaurant to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We came all the way from USA and I can tell you this place didn't disappoint us. Very nice location, close to the lake and easy to find. We started our 5 course chef's tasting menu from appetizers by chef. It was mix of cheeses in different variations deep fried, cream cheese, cheese truffle and refreshing gazpacho soup. 1.Our first tasting dish were amberjack ceviche with fresh mint, peach and lemon sauce. It was absolutely delightful. 2.Then we had poached egg in creamy pea puree and shaved with Belèer Knolle cheese. It was also one of my favorite dishes because it was so creamy and egg was a great addition to this dish. Also there were Bona crumbles sweet to balance the pea puree. 3. Next Paccheridi Gragnano halves with oriental veal ragout. unfortunately this pasta wasn't my favorite. It was too al dente and I am not used to such a thick uncooked pasta. We ask waiter and he confirmed that's the way it should be. Also too much peanuts overwhelmed the sauce and it felt you are eating sneakers. But I absolutely loved veal ragout sauce, it was rich with flavors and very nicely done. 4.Then our next dish was Red Mediterranean tuna with charcoal, teriyaki mayonnaise, cucumber and puffed rice with seaweed. It was the best cooked tuna that I ever tried. It was so tender and melting on my tongue. 5. Next was perfectly cooked Duck with cherries. I absolutely loved duck, it was cooked to perfection!!! 6. Pre dessert strawberry basil puree to refresh tasting buds and prepare for the dessert. 7. Vanilla cheesecake with apricot and carrot sorbet with prune compote. 8. And complementary truffle selection from Chef to congratulate us with our anniversary. Absolutely best anniversary meal. I also loved that service here was very open and nice. It was my first Michelin star experience and I didn't felt any snobbism, like in other restaurants in Milan for example. Nice presentation, and all dishes were properly described in English for us which is additional plus since my husband doesn't speak Italian. Absolutely worth the trip!"
