The Blue Bell Inn Scunthorpe

What has happened to the food and service at our scunthorpe wetherspoons, the past 6 months the food has been terrible, always cold, staff not bothered, come on Alan sort this out.

See below. Back doors still open n can smell drainage issue much more. Health hazard can't enjoy our festive drink. Should b closed due to hygiene especially the kitchen where that part is closed off

Yet again another poor breakfast at this Wetherspoons. After ordering the food it was in front of me in about 3 minutes. Unfortunately the eggs were stone cold, the toast was cold and the rest was just warm. No one came round to ask how my food was so I have left this review. We generally love Wetherspoons, but in the north of England, the one in Scunthorpe is the real deal. Been there again today. Absolutely bang on! There is an issue that needs to be addressed, and this is not a criticism. The menu price is less than the app price. I asked about it, and was charged the menu price. We love it. Just sort the nuts and bolts? Best in the area as far as we're concerned.

We visit this restaurant for dinner almost every week. We usually order the steak, which in my opinion is one of the best I have ever had! The gourmet steak deal with a sauce and onion rings is excellent value for money. My husband enjoys the mixed grill as well. We have also tried the burgers, which were delicious. We always have a pleasant evening at Spoons in Scunthorpe and the staff is always friendly.

Awful. Had a large breakfast and a traditional breakfast. The only decent part was the hash browns . Paid extra on both meals for hockey pucks which were supposed to be black pudding. The rest of the food was lukewarm . The toast was more like warm bread. The coffee machine wasn't working as needed filling at 9.30am !!! Saw staff in the kitchen putting food on plates using their bare hands which shows just how hot the food was. The staff had no interest in customer relations whatsoever. The staff, especially the older lady (not Julie) and the deputy manager named Phil, were very rude during my visit on 04/11/23. They seemed to have a lack of concern for keeping the restaurant clean, with dirty tables, cutlery, and carpet. I unfortunately caught Norovirus from this establishment earlier this year, and although I cannot prove it, I believe it was from here as I was the only one who ate breakfast and became ill. My partner did not eat breakfast and did not get sick. I would rate this place as a negative experience, but Google does not allow for that rating option.

We usually use the brigg branch and have fantastic service and food . Due to having less time we tried here . Never ever again . Nearly an hour from 10.30 order to getting food . The small American breakfast was awful the only nice bit was the maple syrup. Pancakes cold and contained two pieces of fat advertised as bacon and the egg wouldn’t cut with a knife very rubbery . The staff were not bothered and only one poor waitress at one point . We should of walked when we noticed in the kitchen all good served by using hands even eggs and one man wiped his nose twice on back of his hand !! Disgusting and never ever again .

What a ridiculous situation. We often go on a Thursday curry night It was much quieter than usually. We ordered food and drinks from the bar. My drink was wine IN A PLASTIC GLASS. My husband took it back and asked for a glass. He was told, they are prone to flooding and cannot wash the glasses so only plastic are being used. ??? I went to the bar. Can I please have a glass, I cannot drink wine out of plastic and I am not 6 The barman who we have met before, has a vocabulary mainly of no ... said No. I asked for a manager..can I please have this wine in plastic in one of these many glasses hanging in racks above the bar No. We asked for our money refunded and left.
