"Time and again my family and I call at Blueberries in the bizarre and foolish hope that it has improved. And time and again we continue to be disappointed... Disappointed because the service is poor and the servers (when they dane to notice you, genuinely believe they are doing you a favour by looking down their noses at you. Disappointed not one of us have managed to receive what we ordered this year (so far , despite most of our orders being straight off the page of the grubby menu. Disappointed because food takes an age to arrive, even though take-away customers are told that eat-in customers are prioritised – whilst eat-in customers are told take-away is prioritised! Disappointed as when meals eventually arrive they are both cold and overcooked – which doesn’t seem possible, I know! I have yet to see a soft yoke at any meal on a table I have sat at, or bacon that is more than just-above raw – or less than done to a cinder. One must ask if this is an alien plot to put humans off eating? Disappointed because nobody actually gives a monkeys whether customers have any level of satisfaction in what they have received. Disappointed because there is always something missing: Be-it toast, sauce or knives, forks or visibility of the table due to the detritus of previous occupants. And most of all I am disappointed in myself for having the reoccurring faith that next time will be better than the last. Still – there’s always next week!!!"

The restaurant offers freshly made sandwiches with delicious fillings, elegantly presented. They serve Illy coffee and have a delightful selection of snacks, cakes, and drinks. They have outdoor seating, and the friendly service is worth the wait for the delicious food to be prepared.

We decided to grab a sandwich here on our way to Lyme Park and we were blown away! The breakfast barms were incredibly delicious and the homemade Bakewell exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly, the restroom was clean and shiny, and the atmosphere was delightful. We will definitely be returning!

I often travel 5 miles to this Cafe as I live in an upmarket village with ten eating establishments, all without the ability to provide a 'bacon butty '. These people cook quality bacon from fresh and serve on a barm cake of amazing freshness and quality. All food served appears excellent. Home made cakes also available. A must to visit.

Busy cafe on A6 at Highlane if you are lucky you can park outside but there is a car park on the same side towards Disley about 30 yards away. There is a ramp to the entrance as well as steps with some seating outside. Inside is clean and tidy with table service. Nice welcome and polite service. Coffee was good and nothing too much trouble. The sausage barm was lovely quality sausages in a mega fresh barm cake. (BUN) Will be back it was lovely. Obviously gets repeat local business which is always a measure of quality.

Located on the bustling A6, this small local cafe is always busy. Upon entering, I was initially unimpressed by the number of uncleared tables and lack of acknowledgment from the staff. It took a while for someone to finally take our order and serve us drinks. My two companions thoroughly enjoyed their full breakfasts, describing them as plentiful and delicious. Unfortunately, my prawn marie rose baked potato was quite underwhelming. The potato was undercooked, the prawns were of low quality, and the sauce was thin and watery. However, the homemade cakes were a standout and absolutely delicious. I would definitely return for the cakes and a pot of tea.

Just visited this lovely little coffee shop. I had the Blueberries breakfast: 2 sausages, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 fried eggs (over done but that’s how I like them) and 2 slices of fried toast; with a mug of tea (and a weird, tiny biscuit) this cost £6.00 and is served until 1.30pm. My friend had a generous sausage bap and a large slice of almond cake. This cost her £5.70.The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere is convivial. It’s the sort of safe place families are welcome as well as single people. My only gripe is the fact that they close at 3pm.(2pm. on a Sunday) and the toilets could do with sprucing up.I will go back. It’s a nice place to stop for lunch after a walk along the canal and...

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
