"We had a wonderful experience at The Boat House, where we enjoyed delicious Fish and Chips. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making sure our dog had water without us even having to ask. The service was quick and easy, with no hassle when it came to ordering and paying. We sat outside on the deck to take in the beautiful views on a sunny day. The chips were fresh and tasty, and the locally sourced battered hake was amazing - crispy and flavorful on the outside, tender and fresh on the inside. We made sure to leave a generous tip for the fantastic staff and will definitely be returning in the future."

During our visit to Plymouth the night before the University Open Day, we stopped by for a coffee and a pint. We were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic live music, featuring a talented guitarist who had everyone tapping their feet and joining in. The waitresses even got in on the fun and started dancing. It was a welcomed escape from the rainy and rowdy Friday night scene. Thank you for a great experience!

Mt wife wanted to treat me to brunch on Husband Appreciation Day so we went to Pier Masters. Unfortunately we waited 20+ plus to be served so we left and decided to try The Boat House. We had a lovely friendly welcome and advised it was table service and they would be right with us and they were!! Great service and drinks brought over quickly. Food arrived shortly after which was well presented, only slight issue was the poached eggs were slightly over done but still very tasty and we will definitely return again rathe than go up the road. Beautiful setting and lovely to be able to sit outside.

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
