"Went here at the weekend for a meal. We had fish chips which was perfectly presented, sadly the taste didn’t match the appearance. The fish in particular tasted of burnt overused fat and the meal overall was greasy. It was a shame as the beer garden here is absolutely beautiful, much care and work has gone into this lovely area however the taste of the food should match the appearance. However at the prices charged this really needs to be worked on. I will return and try something else, but it won’t be the fish and chips again for certain. Maybe if the fat was changed more frequently and more attention given to the oil they use for frying it would improve things."

"Yesterday, I stopped by for lunch, and it was quite busy! We were seated right away. We ordered the fish and chips and a steak burger, both of which were huge and arrived within 20 minutes, even with the restaurant being so crowded! As always, the food was excellent. The service was very good; the waitress checked in on us to see if everything was satisfactory and later brought us the dessert menu after our main dishes. This is a lovely pub with outstanding food. We’ll definitely be back soon. This was our fifth visit, and each time we’ve tried something different from the menu—everything from steak to lamb to beef for Sunday dinner—and it has always been delightful. We highly recommend dining here, especially with the cozy open fire, and their dog-friendly section makes it even better. You really can’t go wrong!"

"Visited this evening after a long day with a photographer covering a community hall in Cotebrook. We were the only people in there at just turned 5 but entertainment from front of house was superb! The amount of food going out for delivery and folk coming to pick up takeaways was phenomenal!! Can 't understand why folk don 't go and eat in to save the hassle of clearing up, not costing much more to do so Two of us had a fabulous meal. I am originally from the West Midlands and had yet to find a restaurant with food as good as the Balti triangle in Birmingham but this lovely, friendly place is now my go to for food. Presentation is faultless, aroma and taste made my tastebuds tingle. We will be back!!!! Thank you for an really enjoyable evening : Jan"

"I can only describe this place as a complete and utter shambles. I booked a table for 6pm and was stood waiting for 15 minutes. I had to go next door as it was linked to a take away, to get a member of staff. Met with a disgruntled staff member, who came into what they describe as a restaurant, to be told its not our fault the bell is not working and throws 2 takeaway menus on the table and left for the takeaway next door. I noticed a couple in the corner who had looked like they had a torrid time but stuck with it. With that, I said, this is a joke and we left. Not for couples, definitely not a restaurant, it’s a takeaway playing at being a restaurant."

"my wife and I occasionally make a circular walk from the blackemere craft centre and we always consider a coffee and cake in the old station house. yes, the coffee and cake really taste good its not overpriced. the place has a charm about it, but there are the ladies who make it really a pleasure to visit. my wife and I would like to thank them for how this should be."
