"This was my second visit to cafe velo. I came back because I enjoyed it so much the first time. Really lovely, friendly staff and fast service. Coffee was AMAZING. Just had a slice of cake with it this time. Nabbed the sofa in the window and it was so comfy, I wasn't sure that I'd be able to get out again. I will definitely go back next time I'm in Beverley."

"We have been using Cerutti 2 situated in the old waiting room at Beverley station for almost a decade. It is primarily a fish restaurant, although there are one or two meat dishes, (steak) on the menu. It is very much a family affair with Tina Cerutti the head chef, and Tony Cerutti and his son Dominic serving the guests. Four of usually meet for lunch around every six weeks. It is always consistently excellent. There is large menu, mostly fish done in many different ways and a large variety. The former railway waiting room dating from around the 1850s with its high ceilings makes for an elegant dinning room. The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12pm to 9pm."

"We made a reservation for 7 people and immediately felt rushed to place our order, being informed that we only had a 2-hour time limit at our table. The wait staff seemed hurried and the pressure was palpable throughout our meal. A single glass of wine was priced at £9.50, which we found to be expensive. Overall, we were not satisfied with our experience and would not choose to dine here again. In contrast, the nearby Sleepers restaurant offers superior food, service, and atmosphere without the same sense of urgency to vacate the premises. I would not recommend this place for dining.
