"We only recently heard about this restaurant as non vegetarian, non vegan, without allergies intolerances food wise we felt able to book. The dining room is small, comfortable smart and service was very efficient friendly. We opted for the 9 course tasting menu we weren’t disappointed. Highlights were the asparagus mousse- so smooth with intense flavour, the wild garlic veloute the melting smoked cheddar, the tete du moine with truffled honey-great demonstration of how 2 ingredients can make a yummy dish. Great food, enjoyable experience apart from a fellow diner who was loud, opinionated, an expert in everything and a pompous bore) Good value for money at £75 for the 9 courses plus 4 canapés, we will return"

"The food, place, staff all great.. The meats were amazing! Large choice at salad bar and great selection of drinks. However, I feel its very expensive. At £37.50 a head and drinks averaging £6 £9 plus an added 10% service charge meant 5 of us ate and had 1 drink each and the bill was £250.00. Although we didn't have deserts there was a choice of ice cream, cheesecakes etc.. for around £6 £8. Plus a coffee selection for around £4.. For me I enjoyed it thoroughly but I felt it was overpriced. I did see the lunch time menu upto 4pm is £20 per head which is much more reasonable.."

"I decided to stop here during the return leg of my Christmas bike ride from Brough to Driffield. As a cyclist I love nothing more than a nice coffee and a light bite to help me refuel on a 62 mile ride, (in winter no less) so I was more than happy to see that this cafe has bike storage and a friendly atmosphere to make you feel at home whilst kitted up. The range of food is what you would expect from a cafe, but the portions are nicely sized and the coffee is decent. The staff are also friendly and even gave me some napkins and water to help me wipe the dirt off my bike. There is also plenty of cycling decor for you to gaze at and even a TV downstairs to watch your favourite cyclocross or grand tour races. The only thing I would suggest is having a cloth and some bike cleaner on hand to let people clean their bikes with whilst their waiting for their food to digest if it's a damp day outside. All in all a great place to check your Strava and the carbs they sold me certainly got me back to Brough! Will definatly be coming back next time I'm cycling in the area."

"I brought my non-vegetarian parents to this restaurant for lunch. The staff were lovely and took care of all of us very well. They had new menus, but the vegan options were not available yet. However, they were willing to make anything vegan for me. I ordered the paella, which was already vegetarian and vegan. My mom ate more than she has in a while, so it was a hit with her! It's a great place to come with both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. I will definitely be back on my next visit. The only downside was that my parents had a hard time hearing due to the background music and acoustics."
