"We have been coming here on a yearly basis and are never disappointed, genuine French/Lyonnais specialties. The frog legs are great, so is the steak frites, the sweetbreads are great too (Riz de veau). Always think of Anthony Bourdain while we are there, he is...dearly missed. Anyway, we will be back on our yearly trip next year, A bientot!"

This is a fabulous hidden gem. Great service, very friendly staff and great comfort food. The wine list has a good selection from the local area. Local wine is some of the best in France.

For our first visit in Lyon we had to try the famous bouchon lyonnais'. Best restaurant in Lyon. Food was delicious. Great service. Very friendly staff. Looking forward to our next trip there!

Cosy restaurant. Veal with potatoes and vegetables was very good. Sausage with lentils good. Poached egg starter very tasty. Chicken liver cake on tomatoes quite tasteless. Ladies serving were very pleasant.

This is an awesome bouchon. If you’re not into meat don’t come, because it’s meat, meat, adventurous meat more meat. We absolutely loved it. Don’t let the freaky little marionettes on the walls put you. Try something you never thought you would you’ll...be glad you did.

This restaurant is jolly and the staff are friendly and efficient. The food was delicious the best salade lyonnaise we have had since being here, excellent eggs with foie gras and traditional quenelles which were great but we probably could have shared one. A...lovely Sunday lunch.

The waitress is nice, but the boss is not very commercial. We had ordered two entries and two dishes and we had specified that everything should be served at the same time, we were not the time. to eat an entrance /plat plus dessert we stayed two hours the prices are also high. We can find better as a cork

A very good evening. Eggs meurette, veal head excellent and served in quantity. The brown cake is to be recommended with the top in pralines (you have to have a little more room!)A friendly drink, both with waitresses and among customers. The parking of the ropes right in front is a plus, no worries for the car.

We chose this restaurant as it was rated highly on Google, however both my boyfriend and I didn’t enjoy our meal. Perhaps we didn’t order the right thing, but they didn’t deliver on flavour. The decoration of the restaurant is very traditional and inviting. It...is a shame that the food let us down as we wanted it to like it so much.

"My wife and I dined here on a Saturday night (having made a reservation several days in advance), and it was one of the best dining experiences we have had in France in a long time. We reserved for the early seating, showed up on time, and were among the first customers there. We had a small table near the door. The disadvantage is that we were occasionally wafted by a cold draft from the front door. The bigger advantage was that we were sitting near the restaurant's beautiful, precision, hand-operated meat slicer. The specialty starter is beef that has been cured for seven months with seven spices. It is sliced paper thin (and that is no exaggeration) and served heaped on a plate. Heavenly. My wife and I ordered only one of these plates and it was more than ample for the two of us.That was followed by our starters. I ordered the minestrone marocain légèrement épicé comme à Tanger (Moroccan minestrone, lightly spiced as in Tangiers), and my wife the rillettes de crabe aux petits légumes et Granny Smith (shredded crab with little vegetables and pieces of Granny Smith apple). Both were delicious. For our main dishes I had a pavé de cerf (deer steak), which was ample and perfectly cooked. My wife had fish, also cooked to perfection. I don't recall the wine we ordered, but the choice was from wines that were at their peak (not just wines one or two years old), yet the prices were reasonable. One remark about the decore: it manages to be a bit traditional and modern at the same time, with reproductions of paintings by Modigliani and various early 20th-century (mainly French) artists adorning the wall.Overall, a restaurant worth going out of your way for."
