"being tired and hungry in an unknown tourist town at nightfall can lead to poor food decisions and disappointments. but patience can pay. There was something about coffee that caught us as we came back from the castle of worms at the station. originally a shop of fishing items, now transformed into a bar. the aperitif – wine – frichti says everything, essentially aperitif, wine and simple meals. This reminded me of the new generation of wine bars that began to be felt in Paris... often launched by young French people who had travelled a lot. Ironically, the owner of the coffee fishery had worked in australia. the menu of the blackboard was explained to us by excusing itself as "very simple". wooden charcuterie boards [all originating from sponge], a selection of regional cheeses, or a mixed version [12 € both]. also pata negra [Iberian monkey] and a dish of tuna rillettes. ideal for what we wanted. white and rosés of quality at 12 € the liter illustrated the value for money [8 € per half] with a short list of well chosen wines for the more serious oenophile. interesting organic wines are also available. English no problem if needed. with a note of 25,50 € for a half-litre of rosé, a plate of cutters and cheeses for two, a basket of bread, and the dish of the day of the tuna rillettes, it was a perfect end of day. value for money - of course."
