The waiter was excellent - very friendly and great with children. The food was delicious and the beer tasted fresh.

the food was excellent. the service was pretty slow, but I think that was because it was a Sunday, they had junior inexperienced staff waiting.

Excellent service. This was a nice respite from a busy trip to England, very quiet and relaxed. The banana pancakes and bacon I had were delicious!

We love the mussels at Cafe Rouge where I took my husband for his birthday lunch. They were as good as on previous occasions at Basingstoke, sadly closed. Excellent Creme Brûlée too.

We have been to this restaurant a few times now and have always found the staff to be welcoming , friendly and remembered us from our previous visits . Food was great .... soufflé to start followed by steak and chips for hubby steak and salad for me finished off with a lovely Eton mess made with ice cream sorbet rather than cream which was a refreshing end to a tasty meal all washed down with red wine and bier .... we used a groupon voucher which made it great value for great food...

we were in a Friday night. with tesco. at the arrival one received a table in the corner in front of the other guests in the restaurant, all sitting in one area. we went in at 8 o'clock and not a single person went after us. Eating was so disappointing we went for dinge we had never tried to expect aromen and were so disappointed. it was not easy to see why it was so calm. left at 9.20 no atmosphere I really hate to write such a bad review, but there's something wrong here. I was in cafe rouge in birmingham and it was completely different.

We went to the restaurant on a Friday night and used Tesco coupons. When we arrived, we were seated at a table in the corner that faced the other guests, who were all seated in one area. We entered at 8:00 and no one else arrived after us. The food was very disappointing, as we had ordered items we had never tried before and were expecting exciting flavors, but were left feeling let down. It was clear why the restaurant was so quiet. We left at 9:20 and there was no atmosphere. I hate to write a negative review, but something is obviously not right here. My experience at Cafe Rouge in Birmingham was completely different.
