"The ambience is very appealing, in summer you can probably sit very nice outside, but in winter we were there you could only guess this. The noise level is relatively high, but you get used to it quickly. The menu is extensive but still within the frame, the price class is slightly raised. What we didn't know before, the outer flesh is the specialty here. After we have seen the inner, it was very quick to see on the basis of the decorations and at the latest after a look into the map. Why cafe is not clear to me, it's called restaurant that's more likely. I made the mistake not to order a bouquet, the penalty followed quickly the Wiener Schnitzel was underground, but the dish with a bouquet was very delicious. The portions were very large, especially the supplements quantity, so you will surely always be fed there. The salad dressing seemed fresh and tasty, while the roast potatoes were just ok for this, the Pommes frites were incredibly delicious. Therefore also in the Essen points unfortunately a little point deduction. Coffee/coffee specialities are unfortunately not offered with Soyadrink instead of milk a problem for people with milk protein incompatibility. However, with lactose-free milk, which would not have helped in our case. So we didn't have coffee, so I can't say anything about coffee. The service was very friendly and the drinks and dishes were very fast on the table. Maybe we'll come back in the summer to sit nicely outside, but then just eat ostrich ..."

Super friendly staff. Delicious eating, a bit too little warm for brunch, a bit too loud. But for a Sunday brunch also normal

We were there for brunch on New Year's Day. But what the I-spot would be like: a champagne at the expense of the house on this special day: Visualizza piatti

We were there for sat buffet on Saturday morning directly at 10 and it wasn't full. Staff super nice and everything already built! We'll be back.

We agreed to dinner at the Cafe Strauss and had a great service. From the four menus all were very good to my food, but that was immediately re-made by the kitchen. That the foil potato was still muffy, so the cook couldn't do anything???

We have been in cafe Strauss for years, not often, but regular guests and feel very comfortable. We have always been there on Sundays and holidays for brunch. In the meantime, we have already tried out other locations and have not found anything equivalent. Visualizza piatti

It is true in this restaurant you should eat UNBEDINGT also STRAUSS. We were there for dinner at 6. Both the outer meat burgers and the outer steaks were great. But also salad and co. arrived well with us. In summer it is also very nice to sit outside in the beer garden. A big plus for this location.

The worst breakfast ever. Vitello Tonato was all 30 minutes after the opening and was not relocated. The same applies to various other dishes. But sad were the rolls that were all so puffy (old?) that they could have been knotted. For someone who has many hotels/breakfast offers on the clock, this was a low point. Especially if you wanted to take a nice and relaxed break with the family. The café also had the earned non-resonance on Sunday brunch. It was the only empty café in HH-Eimsbüttel.

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
