Good place for light or not so light lunch and dinner; excellent choice of tapas and good wines to go with the meal. Walking distance from the boutique hotel Villa Achenback.

Delicious tapas, paella and great wine. Friends at table ordered liver and lamb and said it was really good. Waiter was helpful finding Gluten free choices for my niece. Recommend restaurant.

I popped into this tapas quite by accident and was very surprised at the quality of service..amazing dishes and wide menu for choices. It is not really "small plates" as the tapas name indicate but apparent the chef is top notch get. I had the avocado/artichoke salad, beef steak and potatoes fritte. Definitely enough for two and cooked to perfection.reasonably priced

This became our restaurant of choice for a 2 night stay in Dusseldorf. I traveled with 2 very fussy companions who like plain food and the team in the Cala D'Or were so accommodating. The menu choice was excellent and the wine list impressive and good value. We had a mixture of cuisines, we would highly rate the steak and fish dishes including a hake with saffron and an octopus dish.

Restaurant Cala d'Or is a nice place to go out with colleagues, friends or just the two of you. The restaurant is big enough for smaller groups but has some quite corners as well. It offers a great variety of cold and hot tapas and Spanish specialty dishes; they all taste very good and authentic. The red and white house wines are excellent. The service is accurate and friendly. If you go there once, you will be coming back.

Wanting to practise my Spanish I tried to reserve a table using that language. I had to fall back on my second language German because the receptionist couldnt speek Spanish. My wife and I had a fantastic night, enjoying 5 or 6 tapas, washed down with lots of cerveza! We returned this july and had yet another excellent night. Conveniently buses and trams stop outside so it was easy to get back to our hotel, the Ibis.Booking recomended!

the restaurant inside is modern, straight and comfortable thanks to the urge. for the busiest terrace they need ohrensöpsel. So neither in- or out anything for a confidential conversation to two, but for an evening with friends exactly right. first choice are the tapas that are served in very good quality. but also the large fish and meat dishes are good. the service might sometimes be a little more supple. who is not one of the masters is more executed. a pity is not the full number of points

the cala d’or is located near the city (grafenberger allee/ dorotheenstraße.) parking spaces are not available so that the parkein can represent a problem. but there are bus and train stops in close proximity. the missing parking spaces are the only weak of the cala d’or. there are typical Spanish tapas offered. the wine selection is also very good. the price-performance ratio is good. my tip: let them cry from the chefs tapas and cry. he sucks a few tuned threads with corresponding w input. perfect!

Sometimes you get taken by local friends to their neighbourhood hangout and, just sometimes, you come away drooling. I lived in Spain for four years and can't think of anywhere - even in the Pais Vasco - that rivals this place. It's not a huge place, it's buzzy but not differenty atmospheric - nice touch with all the wooden wine case labels on one wall, though - and the menu reads interestingly enough. But words cannot describe the brilliance of the food here. Three of us went and had ten of the tapas dishes to share.
