"If we had read the reviews for this place before visiting it we would never had gone. We ventured out one evening and were busy looking in the window of a Mexican restaurant when an elderly gentleman came up to us and said Cannape', pointing...in that direction as he spoke no English. We decided to give it a try the next morning for breakfast as our hotel charged euros each. I decided to try the Muesli, Yoghurt and Fresh Fruit. Not what I expected at all. It was beautifully presented, tasted great, and was a very fair price at euros for a generous portion. My husband had boiled eggs, bread and cheese and was equally impressed. Based on this we decided to try it out in the evening. It was very busy but we got a table and ordered the Farmers Salad and the Poseidon Salad. Both were well presented, very fresh and generous portions, and although almost every table was full we didn't have to wait too long for it to arrive. If you want to see how to run a good business that is customer focused, have staff who know what they are doing and go out of their way to help you, produce food that is good at a fair price, and has a great atmosphere from the start, this is where you should go. We also had our dog with us and she was made to feel very welcome outside or in the restaurant."

We visited Monchengladbach recently and on our day there decided to have lunch inm the Alter Markt area and Cannape was our chosen place to sit out and watch the world go by. Good bier, excellent food and really good service, what more is...there to want for.

Last time I had dinner with my friend. Have an accurate Rumpsteak. that has looked very unappetitlish and for all that is not a bad Rumpsteak!! I work myself in a restaurant and eat Steak every week. The pommes were totally soft and soaked in some old oil. It was better there 2-3 years ago. But many have already told me that you can drink well, especially in the summer, but that you can't eat anymore. Only breakfast is fine

cannape is located on the old marketplace and has a beautiful seating area in the free. in the did, a free table let us decide to go here for diner and enjoy the beautiful weather and the local street life. that eat is good, no, no. the prices are average for this part of the city, so the value for money is also good. but the service is bad, probably caused because a lack of personal. so my evaluation is the average between good for eating and poor for the service.

that was actually our second choice, and it turned out to be very good, I have marked it as average, which seems a little unfair for the food and the service were good, but not very good when that makes sense. while we sit outside, it was cool when the evening woke up and is a very nice note that they provide cover to keep warm, they should be needed.
